The Low-Key Genius

"Levi?" Mr Ralph's voice sounded from behind.

"Uncle Ralph..." Levi took his gaze off Emma and greeted Mr Ralph with respect in his voice. Although he still had that coldness in his voice, Mr Ralph didn't mind as he was already familiar with Levi's personality.

"What's the matter? Why are you still standing here? Common, let's go inside." Mr Ralph said happily.

"Apologize." Levi's voice resounded coldly sending the man into another great wave of fear.

"I'm so-sorry Mr Reigns." he stammered fearfully.

"Sorry?" Levi smiled devilishly. ""Did you offend me?" He questioned.

"No no no no... I wouldn't dare. Please forgive me miss Emma, I'm sorry." By this time Mr Ralph could already deduce what was going on so he just stood quietly by the side.

But one thing he didn't understand was why the great Levi was meddling in measle matters like this. What's so interesting about this girl that made him lower himself to speak with a lowly worker.

Emma after receiving her apology had a satisfied smile on her face and after making sure her pay was intact, she turned to Levi happily.

"Thank you Mr Reigns. I'll be on my way now." Emma smiled like a child who just received candy and after waving happily at Levi, she turned around and left.

Levi suddenly felt a cooling sensation inside, seeing her smile that all of a sudden made him happy. He followed Mr Ralph up to his personal chamber on the 30th floor and they were served drinks and snacks.

They started with some light talks before diving straight to business. Mr Ralph was so happy seeing Levi that he drank until his stomach couldn't take anymore.

Mr Ralph although a few years younger than Austin, Levi's dad, had a one of a kind relationship with the Reigns. He visits them on a weekly basis during the time Austin was sick even though he was very busy with his international business.

For this reason, although Levi wasn't one to have any emotional attachment to others, he still deeply and sincerely showed his appreciation to Ralph.

After they finalized their partnership, they drank and spoke about some personal matters before Levi departed with Zeus. It was already some minutes past four when they arrived back at the company and Levi dove right back into work. He didn't care for anyone, not even himself, so him staying hungry was a usual occurrence Zeus had to witness everyday.

"Um sir... do you maybe know that girl?" Zeus seeing the president in a stable mood gathered the courage to ask.

Levi' suddenly stopped writing when he heard Zeus question. But he didn't answer and went back to what he was doing. Just when Zeus was about to turn and leave, Levi spoke.

"No." Zeus was surprised the president even answered him and even if it was just a word, he rejoiced as he jogged outside. 'The president didn't get mad!' he rejoiced inwardly.

Levi was after all a cold monster who only speaks when he feels like and never responds to irrelevant questions, especially those relating to women.

Over the years, people gained the impression that he wasn't straight because no living woman has ever been seen with him and he puts no effort in the dates his grandfather arranges for him.

Night time came and President Reign picked up his coat and strolled out of his office after the close of work. He decided against using his private elevator and took the general elevator as a way of inspecting the company.

"Have you heard of the low-key genius who came for the interview today?? My my... she is one of a kind."

"Ohh... you mean the one who got Ama fired... why not... women like her only know how to cause trouble wherever they go."

"Don't say that, you know Ama has always been hot tempered. And I heard she refused the genius the right to go for the interview which led to her misfortune."

"Please... it's not like Ama was wrong anyways. Do all beggars who are geniuses also get to be interviewed at our Omars Royal?? She was just so lucky the president arrived on time if not she would have been thrown out like the thrash she is."

"Enough enough. Remember the no talking behind others back rule?? I should get going. I don't want to lose my end of year bonus."

The two women who were conversing by the hallway didn't notice the shadow a few feet behind them as they were both lost in their conversation.

Levi hated when people were insulted behind their backs or when proper respect wasn't given to all, especially after what happened some decades back. Since then, he has always rebuked such act and placed a law against gossiping in the company's code of conduct.

These two women were definetly going to be surprised later today. Zeus Shaked his head in pity.
