Haughty girl...

The interview began immediately and Emma answered all the questions flawlessly leaving the interviewer speechless. The most impressive thing was her document she presented.

This ordinary looking girl graduated from a second class university in C city with an outstanding performance which got her full time scholarship to study abroad. Of course such a rare opportunity wasn't wasted as she also obtained her masters, setting a new record abroad.

She had such outstanding results but still presented herself in such a low key manner and acted as if nothing mattered. People like her were almost impossible to come by in C city.

At the end of the day, she was told to leave behind her contact information and to wait for an email with her results.

Emma came out of the company and after taking a deep breath, she jogged along the streets with a satisfied smile on her face.

When she arrived home, she met the house empty so she cooked herself some noodles and left as quickly as she came.

"The meeting with Mr Ralph is in thirty minutes sir. Would you like to have lunch first?" Zeus asked cautiously as he picked up the document the president just signed.

"Get the car." the president said in his usual cold tone and Zeus could only sigh helplessly as he went out. The President of Omars Royal, Levi Reign, a 27 years old business god who dominates the entire C city with his line of influence alone.

The Reign family's root runs deep down in C city and their influence travels beyond the borders of the country and as such, nobody dares to offend Levi.

Levi went down after organizing some documents and they arrived at Mr Ralph's subsidiary company in no time.

The place was a third rates company and Mr Ralph was here for his yearly inspection. Mr Ralph was in his early fifties and he owns one of the biggest clothing enterprise in all of C city. He's a great entrepreneur with a lot of fame and has investment all over the country.

Mr Ralph and Levi's late father, Austin were best friends before Austin's death and he wanted the Reigns to work with his old friend.

So after the family fell into Levi's hands, he immediately organized for the partnership between both parties.

"Hey you Mr... you can't just throw money at my face like I'm some sort of thrash... come back here this instant." The high pitched voice by the delivering truck nearby caused Levi to stop in his tracks causing Zeus to walk into his back.

"I'm so sorry sir." Zeus immediately apologized sorrowfully as he rubbed his aching nose. But Levi didn't pay any attention to him as he walked towards the voice.

"Just because I work for you doesn't mean you can disrespect me like that. Not all women are weak alright, so if you know what's best I advice you to apologize." Emma said as she stared angrily at the man before her.

"Listen here girl, I've already paid you. You got your money so why make trouble out of nothing. If I wanted I would have cut your pay by half but I didn't. You better get going now before I lose my patience." the man said disrespectfully as he turned around in an attempt to go.

"Hey-"

"Is this how all workers are treated?" Levi's deep and frightening voice caused the man to halt in his steps as he walked forward.

"Mr Reigns... I didn't know you've arrived." the man said with fear as he politely greeted.

"Isn't this the girl from this morning?" Levi questioned inwardly as he stared at Emma, completely ignoring the man's greeting.

"Please come this way Mr Reigns." the man said as he tried leading Levi away from the scene.

By now the workers who gathered looking for drama had all gone back to their various works with the sight of Mr Reigns.

Emma on the other hand stood there with a haughty expression on her face as she peeped at Levi one in a while. "Interesting..." she smiled inwardly.

The man broke into cold sweat seeing the lack of reaction from Mr Reigns. And the way he stared at him made him shiver in fear.

"What happened?" Questioned Levi as he shifted his gaze to Emma.

"Men this days don't have any shame picking on women. Just because I'm a woman doesn't give him the right to disrespect me by throwing my pay at my face. All I want is for him to apologize and I'll be on my way." Emma answered honestly as she stared into Levi's eyes with helplessness in her voice.

Normal people won't dare stare into Levi's eyes the way Emma did but Emma was anything from normal. She speaks out whenever someone is treated unjustly and has no fear for anyone, not even the most hyped demon.
