I Got The Job!

The city had a mesmerizing view and Levi stood there like a king above his people. The cold wind blew violently and Levi exuded frightening aura as he stood there heartbroken. His deep brown eyes that were usually emotionless had ripples of regret and anger deep within them.

Zeus who was also on the roof top shivered inside due to the intensity of Levi's emotion he was receiving. The wind was very cold and coupled with the deadly aura emanating from Levi, he found himself struggling desperately for air.

"Leave!"

Zeus excitedly fled the roof top with his tail between his legs knowing he would live to see another day. Levi fell to his knees immediately Zeus was far gone and he stared down at the city before him in despair and immense sorrow.

"Why??..." He murmured dejectedly.

'Ring ring ring ring...'

"Ohhhhhh... what the hell!!!" Emma grumbled as she sluggishly got up and staggered to her phone.

"Who is this??" She asked unhappily as she walked towards the bathroom.

"Good morning... Please am I speaking with miss Emma??" a woman's voice came from the other end in a respectful tone.

"I'm miss Emma's granddaughter..." Emma replied angrily. Who in the world will call someone on their personal phone number and still be asking if you are the one on the line??? Is this why she was disturbed from her peaceful sleep?? Emma thought angrily.

"I'm sorry miss Emma." the woman said apologetically. Emma was so mad that she almost stabbed her reflection in the mirror with her toothbrush but she decided against it as she adoringly caressed her face.

She didn't have the heart to stab such beauty in the morning, even though it was only her reflection in a disorganized state.

"So why the disturbance so early?" Emma asked in a more sober and calm tone. She bent her back a little as she splashed water on her face.

"Um... I'm from Omars Royal and I'm calling to inform you that you passed the interview. You are welcome to start work at any time." The woman said excitedly. It's a very huge privilege to work with Omars Royal and everyone, herself included can attest to that.

Firstly, their job requirements were ten times more than that of any other company. It takes the best of the best to work at Omars Royal and it's worth the stress at the end as their pay is overwhelming.

"Oh..." Emma said as she picked up the toothpaste and spread it on her tooth brush.

"Um... so when will you be starting work?" The woman asked awkwardly. Who in the world will reply with an 'oh' when they hear such fantastic news like this. She was surprised Emma wasn't screaming at the top of her lungs and rejoicing she was going to work with the biggest company in C city.

"I'll see.." Emma said shortly before hanging up. She wasn't too surprised as she already knew how outstanding she is. The only reason she agreed to go for the interview was because Andrea insisted she continued with her career and fulfilled her childhood dream.

After hanging up, Emma quickly washed up and after putting on a grey lounge wear, she ran downstairs. She quickly arrived at the kitchen to see Andrea putting down the last set of dishes before taking off her apron.

"Woww!.." Emma exclaimed with her jaw hanging down. The table was filled with sumptuous delicacies and all of them were her favourite. She didn't even wait for Andrea to wash her hands before she sat down and served herself a big bowl of soup.

"Look who's up early..." Andrea smiled as she joined Emma at the table.

"All because of a damn phone call..." Emma said as she drank a spoon of soup.

"So... did you get in??" Andrea asked excitedly. It was crystal clear the phone call came from Omars Royal as Emma could count her contacts on one hand. She lost her parents at age six and she lived with her only aunt until she turned sixteen. She never knew any of her mother's family members and she went to college after leaving her aunt's house.

From her college down to her masters abroad, she has been extremely lucky because scholarships always arrive at the right time in her life. She obtained her masters in Journalism and was offered an opportunity to work with the biggest global news company in Europe. But unexpectedly, she rejected that opportunity on the spot with the following words... "I can't work with you Mr Hawk, office jobs are tiring. I want to be free."

At that time, her interview with the largest share holder of Star Channel caused an aproar in all of C city as people with various views spoke up. There were sayings like... I love her spirit! ... Is she crazy??! ... Who in the world will reject such a great opportunity?? ... As always, another b*tch is here for fame... and so on.
