Chapter 21. The Ambush
The group walked for about an hour on foot before reaching Cyrano road path , the road where the bandits operated , out of the group karnel was the most loud mouthed and would occasionally talk about different meaningless things even about things that seemed to far fetched to be real, Morgan was observant checking every corner and every turn of the path to make sure they where not been followed or been led into a trap.

Meanwhile deep within the forest and about 500 meters away from Cyrano path a cave occupied by about 50 men , they all wore little or no armour , they where drinking wine while lazing around while some where just sleeping .
The cave was filled with goods ranging from food to accessories , while a section of the cave was reserved for weapons and armour .
Suddenly a man who wore scavengers clothe ran into the cave .
"Kalel, Kalel I just saw a group of adventurers coming this way they will be here in soon" , He said.
"How many are they and what is their rank griaga" , Kalel the apparent leader said, he was a tall man with a lot of muscles and scars on his body with a scar going from his forehead to his cheek passing through his eyes and leaving an empty socket . he wore an armoured chest plate which was full of holes it looked like a porcupine crashed into it . and scavenger's pants.
"There are four C rank one D rank and I didn't get the chance to check the last guy rank but he is a pretty boy so he might be a rich pompous brat", Griaga said .
"Well since they have come all the way out here to pay us a visit why don't we give them a warm welcome" .
"Listen up you bastards we have some guest coming over and you all know we are nice host so let's give them a nice welcome party" , Kalel said and grabbed a sword moving with his men out of the cave.

" And so I told her baby for you I can do anything" , Kernel said letting out a proud smile.
" Damn kernel I didn't know you where a lady killer" , Carlen said trying to control himself from laughing and giving away their location.
"Something isn't right" , Morgan said.
"What isn't right" , Lilly asked.
"Well from the reports we passed where the bandits usually assaulted travelers and still yet their is still no sign of them" , Morgan said.
"Could it be that they already left this location" , Brean asked.
" That is highly unlikely" , Morgan replied.
" Just relax Morgy maybe they decided to leave" , Kernel said tapping Morgan on his shoulder .
"Don't call me that and I don't think so they are still some fresh footprint not up too 5 hours ago so they couldn't have left ", Morgan said.
Miles had been behind listening in on their conversation while trying to spot the bandits.
'Morgan is right something is strange thanks to perception I am more aware of my surroundings an I can't even see or hear animals or even any birds it's to quite.' Miles thought.
Suddenly he heard the sound of footsteps coming from all corners surrounding them .
"'Its a trap." Miles said will unsheathing his sword and positioning himself in a defensive mode.
The group stopped their argument and stood close to each other will drawing their weapon will lilly started to chant some words.
"show your self we know you are their ", Morgan said will on the watch for arrows.
Clap , Clap , Clap.
A man came out from the forest clapping will more men followed him .
" Wow I never thought you would notice us will arguing among each other ", Kalel said.
" And I assume you are the leader of the gang" , Morgan said pointing at Kalel.
"Yes , I am Kalel the leader of the black bandits at your service," Kalel said bowing a little.
"On orders of the guild surrender and come with us peacefully and you shall be giving a fair trial" , Morgan said .
"Fair trail , Hmmm let me think of that I am a bandit i rob and kill I don't think I am going to be giving a stern warning and told never to do it again right , I am going to be executed or worst forced into been a capital slave for the rest of my life so I will have to decline ".
"Now if you know you want to leave this place alive you will drop all your weapon and you will leave behind that pretty little priest behind you" , Kalel said will smiling.
"I am sorry but I have to decline and since you declined my offer I am going to have to rid this path of you bandits stench", Morgan said.
"Well since you will not accept my generous offer I will have to kill you all ", Kalel said .
" Kill them all and capture the pretty lady alive", Kalel said and his gang ran to fulfill their task.
Swoosh , Swoosh.
Carlen sent two arrows at the incoming bandits and managed to hit one in the head killing him instantly and another on his legs making him fall to the ground.
"Shit we are out numbered", Kernel said.
"Don't panic hold your ground ", Morgan said.
Miles took the liberty of accessing them and found out they all are seriously weak with a might range of 400 to 800 and their leader with a might of 2300 .
'Weaklings I can kill all of them with my hands tied to my back and with only one of my legs functioning but I don't want everybody to know how strong I am so I will just attack any one who gets close to me or Lilly and leave the rest to them but if things get out of hand I will have to intervene.' Miles thought.
One of the bandits managed to injure Morgan even with his armour and he was finding it hard to keep up with the assault .
"Basic healing spell: Nature's touch", Lilly conjured a healing spell healing up the now bloody Morgan.
"Thanks ",Morgan said .
The leader who had been staying out of the fight when he saw his men getting sliced and shot decided to join the fight .
He ran to the now exhausted Carlen punching him in the face.
"Things are not looking good for you little boy" , Kalel said.
