chapter 6

 He looked at the direction she had fled. She had the right to be angry. But it wasn't all his fault that he couldn't see her for the past few months. The council had made a meeting of the kings of the different kingboms , being the future king he had to attend the meeting with his father to know the rival kings and to be more alert.

 He had missed her much. And he wanted to make up for the lost time and apologize, for not informing her but when he saw her standing in the corridor with that Adams he lost his cool. It could have been anyone, anyone except for Adam. He and Adams were not friends ,but rivals, Adam had always been jealous of him and wanted to have and if possible take everything that belongs to him. Being his cousin Adam goal and desire was to have the throne which would oneday be bestowed unto him. Adam was not happy and he knew that his dear aunty and uncle were conniving on a plan to steal the throne.

 But  Adam wasn't a threat yet ,and moreover Adams did not have a brain to think properly as his thoughts were blinded by his wealth ,woman and hunger for power which made the only threat to him his dear aunt who was smart and witty.

 He could understand why he approached Reina . one because Reina was very beautiful and a germ to behold. Two because he vet his cousin had been keeping a watch over him to know his every move. Three because he knows that he is attracted to Reina that is why he's trying to steal her away from him like the last time.

 And that reminds him of Lady Eliza that stupid bitch he, had been tolerating her for so long but the straw was drawn when she whisked him away for Reina at the stable that day.

 "Lady Eliza, this is outrageous! If you had wanted to talk to me I wouldn't have deprived you of an audience." He said reining back as much of his fury as he could.

 "Oh please Prince Alex. I couldn't get a second with you since Lady Reina arrived. So that was why I set up the fake meeting in the gallery hoping it might get your attention for me." Eliza said each word dripping fire.

 "Is that so lady Eliza?" He said a corner of his lips hinting up in a devilish smile, that made his bule eyes sparkle with a wicked glint.

 "Yes milord." Eliza said smiling foolishly.

 "So what is it that you wanted to discuss with me so urgently?"  

"Prince Alex ,I wanted to in from you that my birthday will be coming up next week, and I wanted to formally invite you personally to the party." She said finally .

 "Lady Eliza I have heard what you have to say. Now it is my turn from now onwards nobody is allowed ,to seek my audience without going through or passing the information down to Steven ,my righthand man. And if the matter is not of any importance Steven will not give me the information." He said finally.

Her eyes widen in horror." But your Majesty...."

 "Your Majesty." Came a blonde man."I have important information to tell you." He said bowing his head .

 "Of course .Lady Eliza I have said what I want to say you may excuse yourself." Alex said in a stern voice .

 "Yes your Majesty." She said and performed a neat curtsey. And turned and walked hurriedly out of the gallery. If she was wise she'd understand the warning.

 "So what is the news?" He asked to the blonde.

 "I did according to your orders and just as you suspected,  your aunt Ruth is the one who planned the attack that we encouraged on our way to the academy." He said.

"Excellent, seems like my dear aunt wants to spend sometime with our prisoners in the palace dungeon. Anything else?" 

 "The king have asked me to inform you that you'll be accompanying him to the meeting of the kings that will be held at the palace tomorrow and has ordered for you to come immediately ." He said finally.

 "So soon! Hm seems to me that father will soon rid himself of being the king. And of course hand it to me."He said and they headed for the door.

  He smiled as he remembered what had transpired between him and Eliza. So his aunt wanted to find evidence against him before his father declared him the future king so let the game being. He dusted his coat properly and walked towards the direction that Reina had ran.

 " Run,Run my sweet girl you can never his from me." He said as he turned into the next corridor.

 A tall figure emerged from the shadows, and walked to were Alex was previously standing. He bent down and picked a small piece of paper which had fallen from Alex coat without him noticing.

 He got up and walked through the academy unnoticed and started walking into the forest and stopped when he reached his destination in the heart if the forest. A figure which was wearing a cloak turned and faced him and the person dropped the hood of the cloak. He bowed his head.

 "Any news?" The person asked impatiently.

 "Yes milady." When she did not reply he continued. "It seems the young prince has taking a liking to a girl from the academy." 

 "Which girl?" She asked as she raised a brow.

 "She goes by the name Reina and she is new at the academy."

 "Find out more about this girl and I mean every single detail." She stopped and looked at sternlly." Is there anything eles?" 

 "Yes milady before the Prince ,left he mistakenly dropped this piece of paper." He said handing her the paper.

 "Good that will be all Angus you may leave." She said, and he bowed his head and headed back to the academy.
