chapter 53-Fire and ice 3

Alex opened the door for reina to enter and closed it shut locking the door, he came to sit next to her on the bed that she was seated.

She looked dazed and confused , her green eyes held a frightened expression, her face looked white like chalk , he could see she was trying her absolute best to stop her bottom lips from shaking. Her hands that were clutched on her skirts were shaking.

He placed his hands gently over hers'.

"Reina." He said softly.

She pulled his hand away abruptly. "Please your highness don't touch me." Her voice sounded so little and so scared.

He sighed in frustration. "Reina." He said softly. "My sweet girl and my innocent little kitten, you can be angry at me and i won't complain because I deserve it but please ,don't push me away , I'll can accept anything for that." He said frustrated and going slightly crazy over her attitude. "Reina please talk to me and don't push me away." He said.

"Who was it?" She asked bluntly.

Knowing and understanding what she wanted." It was Leyla. "He said.

This made her turn her head and face him wide eyed." What! Leyla?" She exclaimed.

He nodded. "Yes Leyla." She was about to speak before he interrupted her." Don't need to ask me how,I will tell you. You see pure blooded vampires are born with special abilities, a vampire can be a master at speed or maybe at telekinesis or can control some of the elements like fire and ice." He said.

She blinked in understanding. "So which ability do you have?" She asked.

He smiled." I have many abilities kitten. But I could show you one." He said.

She smiled and looked up as he got up from the bed. He was happy that she had calmed down , her face had become normal.

He chuckled slightly when he saw the way she was looking at him. She looked like a small child waiting for her daddy to give her candy.

He opened his hand and fire engulfed his palm, her eyes widened in surprise the large flame was on his palm but it didn't burn him.

"Wow,you can control fire." She stated.

He smiled before closing his palm extinguishing the flame. "Yes kitten." He said walking up to her and kissing her forehead." It has been a very rough day for you,go sleep kitten." He said standing straight.

"But I am not sleepy yet."

"It's not a request kitten , it's an order." He said walking out if the room.

"But I have questions." She said before he shut the door tight.

She bit her bottom lip tight. This overbearing and bossy vampire loved to everything according to the way he liked and didn't care about the other..

A knock on the door interrupted her thinking.

"Who is it?" She asked.

"It me milady." A woman's said from the outside.

"Come in." Reina said and the door was opened and a maid walked in carrying a tray which held a glass of cold orange juice.

"Princess Leyla asked me to bring you this juice." She said when she stood in front of her.

Reina smiled happily, Leyla was very sweet and she was lucky to have known such a caring woman." Thank you." She said picking the glass from the tray and and placed it back on the tray after she had finished drinking it's contents.

The maid walked out more quickly than when she has arrived.

The next morning reina woke up with a bad cold and headache. She had been shivering from cold when a maid had called her to attend breakfast that the whole family was already gathered and were waiting for her to show her presence.

She didn't even have the strength to talk much less to get up and the maid had banged the door loudly and had to go and tell the whole family what was happening, and this prompted the door to be broken by none other person than, Alex who broke the door like a person being chased by demons.

They all stood silently in the room as the doctor examined her. When she was done Alex inquired on how she was doing.

"She has a very bad fever and it has made her very weak." The doctor who's name was Angus said.

"When will she be better?" Leyla asked with concern.

"In a few days." He said.

"A few days doesn't answer the question, when will she be better?" Alex demanded harshly.

The doctor flinched at the harsh time that Alex had used to talk to him." We-well I-i am not too sure." Alex glared deadly at the man." Maybe in two to three day time she'll be better." He said timidly before bowing to them.

"Let me escort you out." Alex said and this surprised everyone present in the room.

"But Alex with will stay with reina?" Leyla asked.

"I will be back soon Leyla , he said leaving the room with the already frightened doctor.

Leyla rushed to Reina's side and held her hand. She caressed her face brushing away the tears that were in her eyes." Don't worry Reina you'll be better before you know it and will be able to kick Alex hard on the shins anytime you want. "She said and was rewarded with a smile.

"We hope that you will recover soon lady Reina." She said." Leyla we have to go, your presence is needed in the courtroom. "She said to the girl.

"But I want to stay here with her." Leyla insisted.

"Don't worry she will be safe. And besides Eliza will be here attended to her every needs." She said and this made Leyla even more worried.

"But-"

"No buts , come along." She said leaving the room with Adam.

She caressed her forehead."Don't worry Reina I will come back to you as soon as I can." She turned to Eliza with glaring daggers at her." Take care of her and make sure nothing happens to her or else." She stopped, and got up from the bed.

"Or else what princess Leyla." Eliza asked rudely.

Leyla smiled and walked up to her front and until she stood face to face with her." Or else not even aunt Ruth will be able to save you from me."

She warned before walking out of the room leaving Eliza to glare at her back.
