Battle

After I had awoken I made my way back to the throne room where I found a man standing there who had only one horn sticking out of his head unlike my two then a memory came to me of the man and I couldn't help but feel frustrated since this memory told me that this guy is the type of guy to make people mad just for fun.

The man turned to me and smirked "Lord Arzo, it's so good to finally see you again." he said

"Tokod, you better not be here to cause trouble, It won't end well for you if you are." I said 

Tokod chuckled "Who me? I would never cause trouble." he said and I narrowed my eyes at him then I sighed 

"Why are you here? do you have something important to give me?" I asked 

"Actually I do, you see Alastor came here earlier and told me to give you some news about the humans who are coming to these woods." Tokod said

"Why didn't you tell me this earlier?" I said and Tokod laughed out loud

"I don't know, I just wanted to greet you before we got down to business." Tokod said and I couldn't help but glare at him so he immediately bowed before me "I do apologize, my lord, sometimes I just can't help it, please forgive me." he said 

I sighed "You are forgiven but do this again and I might not be so lenient." I said and Tokod nodded "Now, give me the information." I ordered 

"Of course, Alastor had returned to give information about the four humans coming to these woods after he did he immediately left again to continue to watch them, and since you were still sleeping he passed the information onto me." Tokod said then he made his own hand glow as he put it out in front of him "Projection: area." he said then a transparent map of the woods we are in appeared before him which showed the castle in the middle "As Alastor has explained to me, the humans plan to split up and meet in the middle of the woods which is exactly where our castle resides, Alastor has also informed me that one of the humans is the one the vampire siblings have faced before." he explained 

I nodded "Excellent, that means we can have the two of them make up for their past mistake, is there anything else I should know?" I asked 

Tokod nodded "Yes, Alastor has also informed me that one of the humans are heavily armored, they carry a huge sword on their back which means he might be their most powerful of the group." he said 

"I see, a strong warrior leading the pack to recover something potentially dangerous is good on paper but for us, it will work even better." I said

"My lord, allow me to get rid of this man, he won' stand a chance against me." Tokod said

I shook my head "No, I want him alive." I said and Tokod looked at me confused "Think about it if he is that heavily armored then that would mean he is quite high on the chain of command, he will have lots of information and we'll need that information in order to get to their leader." I explained 

"I see now, as you command my lord, we'll make sure to take him alive, but what about the others?" Tokod asked 

"Eliminate them, the only one we want is the heavily armored one, the rest don't matter." I said and Tokod bowed 

"As you wish lord Arzo." Tokod said then he manipulated the map and showed some of the trees move around showing multiple paths "I have also thought of a way for us to cause these humans to meet their opponents, we can have them take each of these paths so we know who will go where." he said 

"Are the mages already at work?" I asked 

Tokod nodded "I had to get Rinako to oversee the operation which is why she's not here now, she's outside giving orders now." he said

I stood up "I will go out and see how it is progressing myself." I said and Tokod bowed as I walked past him and to the doors

Once I left I saw it was finally daytime and the mages were moving trees left and right to make multiple paths for the humans and standing in front of me was Rinako directing them and once she had heard the doors open she turned around and bowed before me

"Lord Arzo, I see that you have awoken, I trust you had a good rest." Rinako said 

I nodded "Yes, I am well refreshed, now tell me how the operation is going." I said 

Rinako nodded "Of course, the mages have already made the paths that will lead away from the castle and around the forest, with this done we will have Alastor posses one of them, preferably the one who has the most armor since he sounds like he is the leader and has him order them to go in specific directions where our people will fight them and defeat them." she explained 

I nodded "I see, first, I want to change the plan a bit." I said 

"Change the plan how lord?" Rinako asked 

"First, I want the mages to make a path for the heavily armored man that leads straight to the castle, he is our priority target and we need him alive, understood?" I said

"Understood lord Arzo, I will have the mages make a path immediately." Rinako said 

"Good, I will await the news of their arrival." I said then I walked back inside my throne room where Tokod was observing the projection 

Tokod looked over at me "My lord, I have a question." he said and I waved my wand giving him permission "Who will fight the armored human? I want to fight him myself but I was sure you wanted to show this human your own power yourself." he said 

I walked over and sat on my throne "I shall allow you to fight this armored human, I shall simply observe and see just how far the magic in this world has come in human hands." I said 

Tokod kneeled before me "You are too kind lord Arzo, I swear I will defeat this human in the name of the great demon lord Arzo." he said

I smirked "Good, see that you do, now I need to make contact with Alastor to confirm that the humans are on their way." I said then I put my hand out in front of me "Message: Alastor." I said then a transparent projection of Alastor appeared in my hand "Alastor, what are the humans doing now?" I asked 

"Lord Arzo, the humans are making their way to the woods as we speak, I am following them closely and making sure I keep my eye on them." Alastor said 

I nodded "Good, keep doing what you're doing, I will contact you later, make sure they don't change their plan, we need them to come here." I said and Alastor nodded

"Understood lord Arzo." Alastor said then I made the projection disappear just as Rinako stepped through the doors and I noticed she narrowed her eyes at Tokod for a second as she walked past him 

"Lord Arzo, the mages have completed the path for the armored man to come to the castle and they also made sure it wasn't too obvious for them." Rinako said 

"Good, now we just have to wait until the humans get here, I will need to decide who will fight who." I said 

"I have already taken care of that, do you want to see who I have chosen lord?" Rinako asked and I nodded so she walked to the door and opened it to allow a few monsters into the throne room

the monsters that have entered the room were the vampire siblings, a female elf who wore a normal green tunic with a skirt and cape, a man with a lizard-like tail who wore an open jacket with a black shirt on the inside and normal black pants but the rest of his was human and there was also Minotaur and they all kneeled before me as Rinako walked in front of them

"These are the people I ave selected to fight these humans, Do you wish to change it in any way?" Rinako asked 

I stood up and as I looked them over multiple memories came to me of each of their names and faces and it was so much that it made my head hurt but it quickly went away once it was done and I shook my head to clear the rest of it "Yes, which one of you has been assigned to fight the armored human?" I asked 

The minotaur looked up at me "It was me lord." he said 

"Najus, you will be taken off the team for the armored human is Tokod's prey, he will be the one to fight it, understood?" I said 

Najus nodded "Understood my lord, I will return to my quarters." he said then he stood up and left the throne room 

I looked at the others "As for the rest of you, you will continue as planned." I said and they all nodded then I looked at the vampire siblings "You two, I grant you permission to use your magical vampiric weapons against your human." I said 

Damus looked up at me "My lord, are you sure? I know that the human from before is strong but to grant us permission to use our magical weapons." he said 

"As I recall, you two both came back from the hideout covered in injures, if the human didn't run away at that time you two would have been more than hurt, and I don't want anyone to die under my watch." I said 

the dragon man smiled "You truly are the greatest and kindest demon lord to ever exist, we are all glad to be able to serve you with our very beings." he said and they all nodded 

"Please, enough of the praise, you must go and prepare for the battle ahead." I said then I looked at the dragon man "Ommes, make sure your flames don't burn down the whole forest and keep the damage to a minimum." I said and he nodded the I looked to the elf "Syndra, make sure you have enough arrows for your bow, we can't afford to have you caught off guard." I said and she nodded then I looked at the vampire siblings "Damus, Isola, this will be your only chance to make up for your failure back at the human hideout, make sure he doesn't get away this time, or your punishment will be a lot more severe." I said and both of them nodded "Now you all know what to do before the humans get here, get it done." I ordered

"Yes lord Arzo." they all said then they got up and left the throne room 

I sat back down on my throne and held my hand out in front of me "Message: Alastor." I said then Alastor appeared in my hand again "Alastor, what's the situation on the humans?" I asked 

"Lord Arzo, the woods are in sight, they are almost there." Alastor said and I nodded 

"It seems everything is going according to plan, Good, you know what to do." I said and Alastor nodded then he disappeared and I looked at Rinako "Prepare the colosseum, I want a good view for Tokods fight." I said and she bowed then she left 'this will be our first time facing the humans of this world, the others may be ready for what to expect but I'm still clueless on just how strong the people here are, watching Tokods fight will be what I need so I will know what I should expect so I need to be ready for anything.' I thought then I summoned my staff and pointed it in front of me "Spying eye." I said then a mirror appeared before me and showed me the humans Alastor is following and they were indeed close to the woods 

'it's almost time, I should make my way to the colosseum, Alastor knows what to do.' I thought then I stood up and left my throne room and entered the colosseum and once there I took a look around and saw how polished it looked 'A place like this would make even the richest people back home jealous, impressive.' I thought then Rinako appeared above in a spectator spot where a king would be and in this case, it's where I would be 

Rinako looked at me and bowed "Lord Arzo, the colosseum has been prepared for battle, and for your enjoyment, I have also prepared a perfect throne for your comfort." she said and I nodded then I floated up to her and took a look at the throne 

It looked exactly like my throne in my throne room "Good, I shall have a clear view of Tokod's fight from here." I said then I sat down and Rinako stood at my side 'now to wait for Alastor and the humans.' I thought 

-Alastor- 

Alastor continued to follow the human's until they had finally reached the woods and that's when Alastor took this chance to possess the human who wore the heavy armor 

The second human looked around at the barely visible paths through the woods "Looks like these woods have some paths we can follow, they might lead us to the magic item faster." he said 

The female walked forward "Who will take each path though?" she asked 

Alastor took this moment to speak up "I'll take the path that's on the second to right side." he said then he pointed at the human with the Kitana "you will take the path on the far left side." he said and the human nodded then Alastor pointed at the second human "You will take the second left path." he said 

"Then, I'm going to the far right side, whoever gets the magic item make sure you tell the others." she said then she glared at the second human "And don't use it for yourself." she said and the second human shrugged then he made his own way into the woods and so did the rest of them

Alastor controlled the human's body and made his way through the woods until he had reached the castle then he walked through the doors and met with the others who were assigned to deal with the humans 

"They are in position, do lord Arzo proud." Alastor said and all of the them nodded then they all left the throne room and went outside then Alastor made his way into the colosseum

-Vampire siblings-

As the first human made his way through the woods he made sure to keep a hand on his sword just in case someone decided to jump him then he heard footsteps and stopped in his tracks when he noticed that the leaves on the trees seem to grow bigger and cover the sun's light rays and in the darkness he could see a little ways away red glowing eyes and they were coming closer 

"It may have only been a whole day since we met but during that time, I couldn't wait till I got my revenge on you, filthy human." Isola said 

"I'll have to agree with you, sister, it is because of this human that we had to fail our mission given to us by our lord." Damus said 

the human got into a stance and rested his hand on the handle of his sword "So, it's you two again, I never would have guessed you two would be here to, looks like there's more to you two than I thought, also what are those?" he asked looking at their magic item

Isola had a sword with thorns coming out of it and it was wrapped around her arm "These are our magic items, you like them?" she said 

Damus had a glove that covered his whole arm and it had claws "These magic items were once owned by our late vampire lord, they were our father's greatest weapons and now we'll use them to kill you." he said 

"Bring it on, even with those magic items you're no match for me." the human said then he unsheathed his blade and pointed it at the vampire siblings 

-Ommes-

the second human ran through the woods but suddenly stopped when a fireball came out of nowhere and just barely missed his head and when he looked he saw a man with dragon wings and had a fireball in his hand 

"Hey, watch it with the fireballs, you might hurt someone." the human said 

"And that someone will be you, pitiful human." Ommes said then he shot another fireball at the human

He quickly dodged the fireball way faster that a normal human "Only if you can catch me." he said then electricity surged through his body and he moved around the woods so fast that Ommes wasn't able to dodge in time when he went to kick him in his side 

Ommes stood back up "Looks like you'll be better entertainment than I thought, let's make this fun human." he said then he moved just as fast as the human and they began fighting 

-Syndra-

the female human also made her way through the woods and stopped once she came face to face with an elf 

"An elf? what are you doing here? elves aren't known to be here in these woods, you're more accustomed to woods that are much bigger." she asked 

Syndra drew an arrow "These woods are not big, true but that's why my lord has already made sure we live in a good place and as long as he gives us a good place to live then we'll owe our loyalty to him." she said then she shot her arrow at her and the human used her metallic gloves to easily deflect it

"If your lord thinks a simply elf will defeat me, then I'll show him just how strong I truly am." she said as she punched her gloves together and got ready to fight 

-Arzo-

Alastor had finally entered the colosseum and once he was in the middle of the colosseum he left the humans body giving him control back over his body 

Alastor bowed to me "Lord Arzo, I have completed my task." he said as the human rubbed his head and looked around 

"Good work Alastor." I said then I stood up and walked over to the edge as the human looked up at me

"What happened? where am I and who are you?" he asked

"Welcome human, to my colosseum, and here is where you'll be fighting for your life." I said then the doors opened and Tokod stepped close to the human and stood right before him as he had a big smirk on his face
