Renault took the umbrella from the girl's hand and shielded her from the rain. He placed his hand on her forehead.

"It's burning hot. You have a fever."

Then, as Renault lowered his head, he noticed that the girl was wearing nothing but a white lab coat.

"What the...?"

Hastily averting his gaze, Renault adjusted her clothing and lifted her up in his arms, stepping into the black hole.

Shortly after, two police officers arrived at the scene, only to find no trace of anyone.

"Didn't someone say they heard a commotion and saw a group of people chasing a girl?"

"What do we do now?"

"Let's go. Looks like we won't find any clues here. Let's check elsewhere."

With a sick patient in his arms, Renault emerged from the black hole and found himself in his own living room.

He first took the girl to the guest bedroom upstairs, covered her with a blanket, and then prepared to call Yuriko from the next room.

Though he caught a few glimpses of her naked body, it was unintentional, and he knew he shouldn't be the one handling the situation from now on.

But as soon as he descended the stairs, he saw Yuriko opening the front door and entering.

"So, it's you who's back."

Wearing her slippers, Yuriko glanced at the water stains on the living room floor and asked directly, "What's going on?"

"I actually needed you. Let's go upstairs."

Seeing is believing, Renault pulled Yuriko upstairs and into the guest bedroom, where they saw a girl with disheveled purple hair lying on the bed.

"..." After a brief glance, Yuriko looked at Renault with a puzzled expression. "I never expected you to have a hobby of finding corpses."

"What kind of nonsense are you spouting?" Renault didn't expect his younger sister to be so playful by teasing him. He pointed at the unconscious girl and said, "She escaped from that 'Doctor's' hideout, and I happened to encounter her. But now she has a fever, so I need your help to take care of her."

"Doctor?" Yuriko's expression instantly changed. "I see, that explains it. She has a fever, right? There are medicines in the first-aid kit. Bring them up. Also, go heat up some water."

Renault immediately went downstairs, heated the water, and brought up the first-aid kit.

Since the girl couldn't take the medicine on her own while unconscious, Renault opened the capsules, mixed the powder with water, and let Yuriko slowly administer it to her.

A few minutes later, the water was ready.

Renault came up with a kettle, a basin, a towel, and some cold water.

However, Yuriko glanced at the towel and said, "Leave now. Do whatever you need to do. Do you really want to stay here and watch?"

Shrugging his shoulders, Renault wasn't in the mood to argue with her at that moment. He simply went back to his own room.

Sitting on a chair, Renault looked at his phone screen, unsure of what to do.

Logically, he should report that he had found the girl who had escaped from the doctor's hideout, possibly even the source of the Nomu rampages, to the authorities and let the appropriate people handle it.

But on the other hand, considering the girl's possible background, Renault hesitated.

Although the higher-ups in the authorities, as All Might had mentioned, were good people who wouldn't harm her, Renault couldn't guarantee that nothing would go wrong.

"Hahh... Let's not say anything for now."

Half an hour later, Yuriko pushed open the door and said to Renault, "She's awake. Come and see."

Upon hearing her words, he immediately arrived in the guest room.

On the bed, the girl had already woken up and was lying under the covers. She still looked sickly, but compared to before, she had improved significantly.

On the chair by the bed, there was a set of Yuriko's clothes neatly placed. It seemed that she had already changed into clean clothes.

Sitting down by the bed, Renault looked into the girl's eyes, and she looked back at him. She opened her mouth as if she wanted to say something.

Renault waved his hand and said softly, "Your body hasn't fully recovered yet. Let's wait until you're better before you say anything."

After a moment of silence, the girl eventually nodded, but her face still showed worry and fear.

Seeing this, Renault reassured her, "Just rest here. You don't need to worry about anything. No one will come looking for you, and no one can threaten you here."

He joked, knowing that there were two Vector Manipulators present, along with Renault's Evol Black Hole Form and a pile of Fullbottles. They were more than capable of handling most situations. Moreover, the League of Villains wouldn't dare to come looking for trouble anymore.

Upon hearing Renault's words, the girl seemed to take some time to gather her thoughts. Finally, she smiled faintly, closed her eyes, and soon fell asleep again.

After exchanging a glance with Yuriko, Renault took out a black-gold Spider Shock, inserted a Spider Memory Slot, and placed it on the table to act as a standby nurse in the room. Then, they left the room.

Instead of going downstairs, the two siblings entered Renault's bedroom.

"Tell me, what exactly happened?" Yuriko asked.

Renault didn't hide anything and explained today's events to Yuriko from beginning to end.

After listening, Yuriko looked at Renault and asked, "So, judging from your actions, you don't plan on handing her over?"

"For now, that's the plan. After all, there are many details we still don't understand," Renault nodded and said. "Besides, aside from her potential abilities, just the fact that she may have a similar background as us is enough for me to not want to give her up."

Yuriko agreed with Renault's decision, although she thought it might cause some trouble. "Indeed, I feel the same way. But have you considered one thing?"

"What is it?"

"Misaka Mikoto."

Renault was momentarily stunned but didn't show any signs of panic. "Oh, that. Don't worry, it's not something else. As long as we explain the whole situation clearly, I believe Mikoto will be more proactive than us."

"As long as you're confident. So, are you planning to stay at the school these days, or stay here?"

"I still have to go to school, but most of the time, I'll be participating in off-campus work study, so I'll have more free time. And at night, I'll mostly come back home."

"Alright, now that you've decided, shouldn't you take action?"

Renault asked in confusion, "What do you mean?"

"Dinner, and let Misaka Mikoto know first."

"Tch, you really spare no effort in bossing around your elder brother huh..." Renault scoffed, grabbed his phone, and prepared to leave. "Well then, I'll leave the house in your hands."

After Renault left, Yuriko returned to the guest room.

As she looked at the sleeping girl on the bed, her expression softened, and she let out a barely audible sigh.
