A Quirk Test?

"This is so exciting, right?" "I feel like I did during the practical but more confident." Ochaco said to me as she cheerfully walked ahead of me. I wasn't really paying attention I was really in my own little world listening to music on my headphones. I was in such a trance that I didn't notice that she had gotten close to me and started to make me float. "AHHH!!" "What's the big idea?!" I yelled out as I began to spin in mid-air making me be upside down. She bent down and took off my headphones. "You have to take this seriously Christan." "None of your usual stunts." She told me putting my headphones in her backpack. "What stunts, I'm always well behaved?" I confidently stated while crossing my arms. "I had to pry you out of your house for school every day and I thought since we got into UA I wouldn't have to do that for you." "Come on Ochaco." "That was just a test, and you passed!" "Now gimme back my headphones." "No can do Christan, you'll just have to go the day without them." She said with a smile on her face.
She then deactivated her quirk making me almost fall on my head but somehow I rolled in time to prevent that from happening. We finally walked up to the school and found our way through the massive hallways. "Its 1-A right?" I asked looking down the halls. "There it is." She told me walking down the hall to the room. "Oh I recognize that curly hair." She said when she got to the door. "Curly hair?" I confusingly asked as I walked over to the door next to her. "Oh it's the kid from the practical." He looked a bit overwhelmed. Ochaco kept talking about how his punch that destroyed the robot was cool when I heard a familiar voice. "If you're here to socialize, then get out." "This is the Hero Course." We turned around and saw a person inside a bright yellow sleeping bag. A person with a messy, shoulder-length black hair that partially hung in front of his face with half-opened black eyes stepped out of the sleeping bag. He was in an all black outfit that was a long-sleeved shirt with matching pants.
"It took eight seconds for you to quiet down." "Time is a precious resource." "You lot aren't very rational are you?" I'm guessing this guy's our teacher. Looking at him, I've met him before but where? I thought to myself. "I'm your homeroom teacher Shota Aizawa." "Pleased to meet you." He then went into his sleeping bag and pulled out these blue, white and red outfits and told us to get dressed and meet out by the grounds.
P.E Grounds
When we got out there he told us that we're going to test our quirks. "What about the entrance ceremony?!" "Or guidance sessions?!" Ochaco asked Aizawa in a confused tone. He gave us all a tired look and then spoke. "UA is known for its "freestyle" educational system." "That applies to teachers as well." That really left us kinda speechless. Then he spoke again. "Softball throwing, standing long jump, 50 meter dash, endurance running, grip strength, side to side stepping, upper body training and seated toe touch." "You did all these in middle school, right?" "Your standard no-quirks-allowed gym tests." Mr. Aizawa told us in really tired tone.
The way he talks, I swear I've met him before. But then he called out someone's name. "Bakugo." "How far could you throw in middle school?" "67 meters." He told him. "Great, now try it with your quirk." "Do whatever you need to." "Just don't leave the circle." Bakugo then threw the ball but used his quirk making it explode as it was launched. "That was pretty intense." I thought to myself. Then Aizawa started talking again. "It's important for us to know our limits." "The first rational step to figuring out what kind of heroes you'll be." Aizawa said holding up a phone with a score of 705.2 meters. "WHOA!!" "This is awesome!" The guy with the red spiky hair said. "705.2 meters seriously?" "Some little guy with balls on his said." "So we can use our quirks for real!!" "Man the hero course is great!!" A guy with yellow hair said. Aizawa quickly shut them up by saying that the person with the lowest score across all eight events will be expelled. "Your fates are in our hands." "Welcome, this is the U.A Hero Course." And like that the games began.
Event 1 : 50-Meter Dash
I was running with Ochaco and I see that she's making her clothes lighter. I was just stretching at the start line. I looked over to her and she gave me a smile and a thumbs up. I gave her one back and then it started. I immediately launched myself forward past the robot that was timing us. My time was 5.22 seconds in middle school but using my quirk it was 4 seconds flat. Ochacos time was so much better than when she was in middle school. Going from 7.28 without her quirk to getting 5.73 seconds. We high fived and then waited for the next event.
Event 2 : Grip Strength
This one was a bit tricky. I wasn't sure my quirk would help here. Then I thought about using my quirk at the same time to increase my grip. Basically pushing and pulling my hand against the machine. I got 32 kg in middle school but here I got 66 kg.
Event 3 : Standing Long Jump
Simply just launched myself as far as I could. I completely cleared it.
Event 4 : Side-Stepping
It was a bit draining but I pushed myself from side to side to help with my speed but the kid with the balls on his head was on a whole other level of side stepping. As I watched him bounce from side to side.
Event 5 : Throwing
Just throwing a ball. Seems easy enough. But since I'm going after Ochaco I have to try to follow up her score of Infinite. Seriously I don't know why she let it go that far. I think to myself as I walk up to the circle and am handed a new ball. I took a step back and as the ball left my hand I used my quirk to launch the ball hard enough to send an air current not only upwards but behind me. "That was awesome!!" Ochaco said cheering me on. I looked over to Aizawa and he showed me my score and it was 705.2m. I fist pumped as I walked back over to the others and I high fived Ochaco. After me was Midoriya and he looked as shook as ever. I don't get why but maybe he's got stage fright. Just then Tenya spoke. "Midoriya isn't doing very well..." Then the Bakugo said that he was quirkless.
As they were talking Midoriya went to throw the ball and it went absolutely nowhere. I was confused at first but then I heard Aizawa say that he "erased" his quirk. That's why he looked and sounded so familiar. At the same time me and Midoriya in unison said. "He's the Eraser Hero, EraserHead!!" He told him that he was gonna use his quirk and hurt himself again. He basically tells him he can't be a hero. Then he deactivated his quirk and let Midoriya use his quirk saying "let's get this over with.'' I looked over to Ochaco and she looked concerned. I get it. I saw what his quirk does to his body. If he had more control over it, he'd be fine. As I thought that he went to throw the ball. He launched it sky high blowing a gust of wind towards us. As the smoke cleared I saw that he reduced the damage by sending his power through his finger. His score was 705.3. That's higher than mines. I thought to myself "This kid is interesting."
Ochaco was so hyped up she yelled out "Woo! Now that's a hero-like record if I ever saw one." "Hey, my score was one point lower than his." I said resting my arm on her head. And as we were talking Bakugo lunged for Midoriya. Without thinking I sent a push wave behind him sending him far past Midoriya. "Who the hell did that!?" He yelled out with s look I've pure rage. Ochaco put her hand on my chest telling me not to say anything. Due to my quirk usually never gets traced back to me, but I'm not staying quiet. I walked out of the crowd of students and said "It was me." Aizawa looked at me and he seemed to recognize me. "You, again?" "I thought you looked familiar." "Not gonna lie, seeing after all these years intrigues me but, you two aren't fighting." "So stop using your quirks." "I'm getting dry eye over here." Aizawa yelled out as he deactivated his quirk again. "What a waste of time." "Last throw and then we'll start next event." Me and Ochaco went to check on Midoriya. "Is your finger okay?" She asked him. I was concerned too but I was worried about Bakugo that's still giving me and Midoriya this glare.
We went through the next few events before it was all over. "Moving along." "Time for the results." "Your total score simply reflects your performance in each of the events." "Explaining the process would be a waste of time, so all you get is the final rankings." "And also I was lying about expelling someone." Aizawa told us leaving almost everyone dumbfounded. "That was a rational deception...meant to bring out the best in all of you." Midoriya, Ochaco and Tenya were really taken aback by this. But then the girl with the big pony ponytail spoke up. "Well of course it was a lie." "Didn't take much to figure that out." "She's not wrong, it was pretty obvious." "You too Christan?!" Ochaco asked surprised. "I thought it was easy to see through." "Why would they put us in the school just kick us out?" I explained to her.
"Anyway we're done here." "Your documents about the curriculum and such are back in the classroom." "Give them a look." He then handed Midoriya a nurse slip so he could get his hand treated. "I'm number #9 right above Ochaco but right below Kirashima." "I got in the top 10." "Awesome, this was just the start." "I'm starting to get excited." I said with a smile while looking at the paper. I then noticed Midoriya's name was at the very bottom. "If Aizawa was serious back there, he'd be out of here." I thought to myself before Ochaco ran up to me so we can head home. "What are you doing?" "Lets get home so we can tell my parents how we did." She said with a happy look on her face. We made our way outside of the school and ahead I noticed Tenya and Midoriya. I pointed them out to her and she ran up to them.
As I got there too I heard Midoriya explain that "Deku" is just a nickname that Bakugou says to be mean. "Oh gotcha!!" "Sorry!!" "Well Deku....It just screams, "do your best" "I kinda like the way it sounds." Ochaco told him. "Deku's fine!" He quickly said as his face turned beet red. "Well "Deku" that quirk of yours is pretty powerful." "Wanna fight?" I said making him sweat and cause Ochaco and Tenya to freak out. "How dare you pick a fight with a fellow classmate!" Tenya yelled as he chopped the air. I just laughed it off as a joke. So coming out of the first day 75% of the class was scared of being expelled, we ranked our quirks in a middle school physical fitness challenge, and a fight almost broke out between Bakugo and Midoriya which might have ended badly if me and Eraser didn't step in. This was the first day and the start of the journeys of the next generation of this world heroes. This should be fun.
