After she put on her dress after she put on her dress she stood in front of the dresser "wow! Is this really me? She couldn't believe her Look, oh jeez Betty no time for day dreaming. She hurriedly applied her makeup and left the house.
Arriving at the company, it was a twenty storied building with the company name boldly written "VICTORIA EMPIRE"
She took a deep Breath and walked in, she walked so elegantly and she noticed strange stares "do I look so bad? Is this is not good on me? She was becoming worried she didn't want to give the wrong impression today of all days.
"This is a beauty" said one of the onlookers the second person replied "she is a beauty no doubt is she joining the company? "I have no idea but I would love to be seeing more of this face, it can brighten my whole day" the unlookers were mesmerized by her beauty.
She kept walking until she got to the lift. She met a young lady, "excuse me miss" "yes, how can I help you? The lady asked looking at Betty like she was suprised to see her in this company. "Please can you direct me to the floor where the interview for the P.A is being held? Betty said in an uneasy tone, "P.A realy? You want this job? The lady asked with a smirk.
"Excuse me? What do you mean? Of cause I need the job, is there a playground here? I wouldn't be here if I didn't need this job" Betty replied although she didn't know why this lady asked such a dumb question.
"Whatever! Go to the 6th floor, the second room by the left" Goodluck if you will even qualify, the lady said and walked away.
Betty was wondering if the staffs of Victoria Empire was like this. She entered into the elevator immediately the door closed, she hurriedly brought out her pocket mirror to check if her makeup got reuined and she massaged her lips and pouted looking at her cute face she said "now I look good". Then all of a sudden a face appeared in her mind, this face looked familiar. Just when she was lost in her thoughts.
Ding! The door of the elevator opened and what she saw was mesmerizing "wow! This place really defines her name she muttered "Victoria Empire".
From the plastic flowers decoration to the wall paints and furnitures everything was beautiful.
She walked down the corridor and finally located the room where the interview will be held.
She did the sign of the cross and worked in. there were a few people inside already all dressed in a corporate attire and looking smart but she? Oh my goodness, am gonna fail. she walked inside and sat beside a lady. "Excuse me ma'am has the interview started already? Betty asked checking the time on her watch. "Yes the CEO is the one hosting the interview, the lady answered politely. "Oh! She said in her thoughts, for the CEO to host this interview, this might be a serious position.
As she was trying to relax her mind and get ready for her interview, she heard whispers from two ladies at the back.
"My goodness, look at her dress, is she trying to get a job or seduce the CEO? The other gi replied "she wish. She looks like a slut, but she has the beauty but definitely not the charisma. The CEO won't even blink his eyes twice at her".
"I managed to apply for this job to have the CEO by my side and be the most powerful woman in country the first girl said with pride" the first girl said. "You know what my friend? I prefer this lady (pointing at Betty) instead of you because it's going to be death for us" the second girl said rolling her eyes. "Oh shut up, you're just jealous because you're not as Beautiful as me" the first girl said in annoyance.
These girls really have the time to gossip Betty shook her head in disbelief.
A man in his late twenties came into the room from a connecting door. "Sorry for the delay the CEO has an important meeting to attend, I'll be conducting the rest of interviews my name is Wilson.
One of the girls at the back said in anger "WHY? I have waited this long already why do I always have bad luck when it comes to meeting rich and powerful men" she felt disappointed.
" Good for me but for you" Betty Chuckled. She felt relieved because she didn't know how she could face the CEO. She thanked her stars.
