Just a day
The following day was a sunday, two girls was dozing off until the alarm rang five O'clock am.
"Jeez this stupid alarm, with sleepy eyes Betty tried to locate were the alarm sound came from and turned it off.
"Omg! It's sunday, betty got down from the bed, she tried to wake the sleepyhead grace, with a husky voice grace said "betty please leave me alone". "You lazy bone get up immediately" betty shouted giving poor grace a fright.
"Dear Betty in what way have I offended you? Is still to early to wake up, Why do you have to punish me like this? Please spare me today let me sleep some more I promise to reward you greatly, please forgive me and let me sleep"
"My God the things my best friend can do for sleep. You need to ask forgiveness from God not me. She draged Grace out of the bed and straight to the bathroom, then she turned on the shower and ah! Came a scream.
"How dare you? Grace asked shivering, "are your eyes open now? Betty asked with a smile. betty i promise I'll get you for this, why did you pour cold water on me?
"Sorry bestie you are such a sleepyhead and the only way I could get you up is pour cold water on you" she smiled sheepishly. "Better Cruz I will surely get you for this one way or the other" now get your ass out of here and give me space to take good care of my body.
Betty bowed her head in mock respect "yes your highness" they both laughed and bettly left the bathroom and shut the door she smiled at what she just did to grace, "Betty you better prepare yourself for your friends revenge".
Betty quickly rushed to the next bathroom and took her bath, minutes later she came out of the bathroom feeling refreshed she went to the bedroom only to see her friend dozing off on the bed, she shook her head in disbelief she picked up her phone and saw a message from the strange man.
The message reads [don't worry my love you will get to know me soon].
She murmured, "who is this mysterious man? Did you say something betty? Grace asked turning to the other side of the bed.
Look at you grace you are asleep but your ears are still awake you have such a crazy habit and "no I didn't say anything now get up you lazy bone we need to attend mass else we'll miss it". You can sleep the whole day when we return okay? Betty said as she dragged grace out of the bed.
"You know what? I can't believe a 24years old girl can sleep like a pig. Saying that Betty ran downstairs to grace room, "What did you call me? Betty you insolent girl, come here let me teach you a lesson, grace said and ran downstairs too
They played until the alarm rang six O'clock. "Alright let's fight when we get back" Bety said. They hurriedly fixed themselves up and went to the mass.

After church the girls were lazily lying on the bed. "Geez it's so bored in here" graced lamented.
"Gracie you're looking for excuses to see your mike right? Don't worry you can go I still have to rest for my busy day starting tomorrow. Betty said patting her
"Really can I? Are you for real girl? Grace asked sitting upright "do you have to ask my permission? Please whatever makes you happy I'm happy with it, and as long as Mike makes you happy, am really happy for you" betty said with an honest smile.
"Awwww, bestie forever thank you girl, I just don't want to leave you alone at home you can come with me" Grace said getting up from the bed. "What? Is your first date as a couple I can't ruin it for you ok, i will be fine go and have fun but not too much of a fun ok? Betty Winked at Grace "don't worry I've got protection in case of emergency" grace winked back.
"geez Grace, hide that stuff don't let Mike see it might give him a wrong impression of you" betty said sounding worried. "Betty you are so naive actually Mike and I made out the day we became a couple" Grace said without any shame.
Hearing what Grace just said she was surprised and couldn't find any words.
"Sorry to surprise you like this, I couldn't tell you" Grace said looking down on her nails. Bety took a deep breath and said "just get going now I will scold you once you return".
"Yes, dear mother" grace laughed and went to the closet.
Grace hurriedly got dressed and applied light makeup. Grace is a beautiful lady with a black long hair she tied the hair in a bun leaving the hair on the sides dangle freely on her face, wearing a peach dress that compliment her beautiful skin and her beautiful eyes. She looked really beautiful.
Grace had already gone to the kitchen to get something to eat, then she heard clicking sound of high heels coming down the stairs.
"Betty was astonished by Grace's beauty, she looked different today, "goodness Gracie you look so beautiful today, be careful so Mike won't eat you up" grace said gushing at her beauty. "Come on Betty don't tease me like this, i dress like this all the time" she blushed so hard until her cheek turned red, "and who said I'm teasing you? You dress like this all the time but today you look really different and you look drop-dead gorgeous" betty complimented again.
"Okay, ok enough with the sweet words I'll take my leave now" Grace said as she gave Betty a hug and waved betty goodbye.
"Betty waved her goodbye and walked her to the door while she watch her leave.
She retired to her room to rest for her big day, she kept daydreaming about the job. She couldn't wait to resume her job, she prayed to God to help her. She slept off after much thinking.
