REVELATIONS PART-2

[3rd Person POV]

"S-Sister! How?" stuttered The Ancient One. The familiar person appeared before her eyes started to bring up eons old forgotten memories and an eternal regret that she carried with her till now. Her world turned upside down. She who saw the future never foresaw this future.

Eons ago, Yao met a girl named Cynthia in Kamar-Taj. Back then, they were still students. Both Yao and Cynthia were excellent sorcerers with the potential to become the next ruler of Kamar-Taj. However, Cynthia refused to have anything to do with the ruler thing. She only wanted to learn magic, nothing more.

So, Kaluu, Yao's friend, took Cynthia's spot. Yao wished to turn their village into a utopia, while Kaluu desired power and conquest over nearby villages.

One day, Yao and Kaluu agreed to cast a spell, eliminating sickness, disease, and age from Kamar-Taj. But Kaluu's desire for power made him greedy. He wanted to take the position of ruler. Unknown to Yao, he casted a mind control spell. Subsequently, the villagers, under Kaluu's mind-control spell, crowned him the ruler of Kamar-Taj.

Kaluu was many times stronger and more knowledgeable than Yao. She needed more power to surpass and stop Kaluu. She asked Cynthia for help, but as usual, Cynthia showed no interest in their conflicts. So, Yao stole Cynthia's research theories and found a way to gain access to a power far greater than her imagination.

Cynthia eventually found out and tried to stop Yao. But it was too late. Yao has already absorbed dark energy.

Having drawn power from the Dark Dimension, Yao obtained unmatched magic abilities, including immortality. The Dark Dimension energy suppressed her aging process, prolonging her lifespan greatly.

Yao has finally gained the unmatched power that surpasses the limits of the mortal plane.

Yao attempted to stop Kaluu, but the village of Kamar-Taj was wiped out as a result of their conflict. Countless innocent died that fateful day.

As a result, Kaluu is banished to an alternate dimension, and Yao is stripped of her immortality. Nonetheless, she ages far more slowly than any regular human.

Cynthia, who was supposed to have died during the battle, is now standing before Yao, alive.

"Why the long face, Yao? Aren't you happy to see me alive?" Cynthia asked.

However, Yao didn't reply. She just kept staring at Cynthia.

"We should move someplace with fewer people," Cynthia flickered her finger. Instantly, everyone found themselves standing in a large open hall.

The hall looked ancient, and there was the smell of death in the air. The walls and the ceiling were shattered. Dried blood stained the ground. War has taken place within this great hall.

"What the hell happened here?" Alex said after he accidentally stepped on an old skull.

"Shhush!" Alex's grandma shook her head, looking toward him and pointing her finger at her lips.

'I can't see or hear anything beyond this room. I can sense a fissure in the space, but whatever this magic is, it's different from Constantine's or Raven's magic. I will inform Bruce about this,' Superman thought while examining the room.

'Time travel! No... Even though we are in the ancient halls of Kamar-Taj, at the same time, we aren't... What kind of magic is this? I can't even access my power,' thought Wanda. This is her first time witnessing such magic.

"Kamar-Taj's ancient library!!! Who are you?" inquired Doctor Strange.

Cynthia looked toward Doctor Strange, "You took in a great disciple. He will surpass you in a year or two. But you, my darling... You are destined to surpass them all..." She pointed her finger toward Wanda.

"She is my sister, Cynthia. She was supposed to become the sorcerer supreme, not me. She died because of me," said Yao with a sad expression.

"Yes, I died, but my soul didn't. But even after an eternity, you haven't changed at all. You are still drawing power from that cursed place. You, my sister... you should have listened to me. I told you, there are other ways... Because of your one mistake, countless universes are on the verge of extinction. And you dare bring my son into your mess..." Cynthia yelled, letting out a wave of raw magic energy.

"I am sorry, but there is no other way. He is the key... Only he can stop what's coming," Yao said.

"His fate is not for you to determine. I won't allow him to become your pawn... Never, not after what you did. You used my knowledge to gain access to the Dark Dimension. When you and Kaluu received your punishment, what do you think my punishment was? I was cursed to never wield magic ever again in this immortal life. My husband died before my eyes, and I couldn't even save him..." said Cynthia.

The power of immortality that Yao lost that day was given to Cynthia along with a curse to never wield magic. She was punished to wander the earth till the end of time, unable to protect her loved ones.

However, things changed when the merge occurred, and people started to awaken. Cynthia also awakened a power far superior to what she obtained in the past.

"However, things are different now. I won't lose anyone anymore... Not to you... not to the one who is coming. So, stay away from my family because there won't be a next time. If I see you sniffing around like a thief, I will kill you," said Cynthia. She flickered her fingers.

Instantly, everyone was teleported back to that destroyed hospital room. While Cynthia teleported her family back to their house.
