Wrapped in Your Embrace

June and Sushi left the boutique after their dress fitting, their hearts overflowing with joy for the approaching wedding. They strolled side by side back home as the sun started to set. They held hands the entire way. Even with the busy streets all around them, they were engrossed in their own world, excited about the impending beginning of a new chapter in their life.

By the time they arrived home, it was almost nightfall. They couldn't decide whether June should stay with Sushi or go. Though they were hesitant to express it out loud, they were imagining the same things. At last, June broke the ice by saying he would stay over tonight to provide company. He then entered the house without waiting to hear Sushi's opinion. Sushi was enjoying at his behavior.

As they sat in a sofa one at each corner, june started by clicking the remote to watch the movie, as he changing the channels a romatic scene appeared on screen which made june and sushi nervous. Out of nervousness he slipped the remote out of his hand and it broke down where the battery went down the sofa, they both standed same time and searching for it they got hit by hittting their foreheads. They both started smiling at their actions and the situation.

That is when sushi offered him by asking, "you wanna take a shower?"

Sushi's offer caught June off guard, and he hesitated for a moment, unsure of how to respond. He realized he didn't have any night clothes with him, but before he could voice his concern, Sushi anticipated his thoughts.

With a warm smile, she suggested he go upstairs to her room while she fetched some clothes and toiletries for him to use. Relieved by her thoughtfulness, June nodded gratefully and made his way upstairs as Sushi disappeared into another room to gather what he needed.

June entered Sushi's room quietly, feeling a sense of hesitation as he stepped inside. He glanced around slowly, taking in the surroundings, until his eyes landed on a collage of family photos adorning one of the walls.

As he approached, he noticed that the pictures included Chloe's smiling face among others. June found himself drawn to these images, studying them intently. He couldn't help but feel longing mixed with bittersweet memories as he gazed at her childhood captured in those frames.

June's fingers hovered over the pictures, his eyes focused on Chloe's face as he noted subtle differences in how she looked from one photo to the next. Before he could think more, Sushi appeared out of nowhere, startling him. She took hold of his hands quickly and twisted him such that his body was now inches from hers and away from the pictures. Sushi stood close to him, her presence comforting and a little vulnerable, her eyes meeting his as she silently begged for understanding.

She put clothes on his hands and urged him to "go and take a shower."

While he was unable to escape the circumstance, he questioned her about why she appeared different in certain photos.

Sushi swiftly covered up the situation with a quick explanation, her voice steady despite the underlying tension. "Oh, my mom loves experimenting with different styles and themes for our family photos. She thinks it adds a unique touch to our memories." Her words carried a hint of relief, masking the deeper truths hidden within the collage of images.

"Oh, you looked cute," he stammered, his cheeks tinged with a faint blush. June's cheeks flushed with embarrassment as he stammered out his compliment. "Uh, I mean... your mom has a great sense of style. You look really nice in these photos." He glanced away, suddenly feeling self-conscious under Sushi's gaze.

Sushi, feeling a bit shy, asked hesitantly, "Um, which picture of mine did you find cute?"

He pointed to one of Sushi's pictures and quickly excused himself to go to the restroom for a shower.

Sushi's heart fluttered with happiness when June pointed to one of her pictures instead of Chloe's. It was a small gesture, but it made her feel special and noticed in a way she hadn't expected. A warm glow spread through her as she watched him head to the restroom, grateful for the subtle indication that she was more than just a stand-in for her sister.

After June finished showering, Sushi went upstairs to freshen up. When she returned, she found June had set up a projector and arranged the couches with cozy blankets. He invited her to join him in watching his favorite movie together.

June and Sushi nestled into the couches side by side, their shoulders barely touching. June's fingers moved toward Sushi's, eventually linking with hers, as the film opened. Sushi felt an overwhelming from the touch, but she did not move. Instead, she was enjoying the moment as they watched the movie in cozy stillness, their hands clasped together tenderly.

Sushi began to fall asleep as the hours went by, coming closer to June and putting her hand on his chest while giving him a tight hug. He approached her slowly, gently leaned her head onto his shoulder, covered her with an extra blanket, and planted a kiss on her forehead. She totally forgot the fact that she is pretending as Chloe whenever she is with June.

Day 4

Sushi awoke slowly as dawn light crept into the room and found herself curled up in June's arms, his calm breathing announcing that he was still asleep. A wave of warmth flowed through her cheeks as she realized that she had spent the night with June. She floated her fingers over his features with a shy smile, savoring the moment as she went from his closed eyes to his soft lips. June awakened and Sushi hurriedly withdrew her hand, pretending to sleep, sensing movement next to her.

"Chloe..", as june calling knowing that she is pretending

But sushi with no response and still pretending.

June teasingly remarked, "Oh, You're still asleep, which means I can do anything I want to you. Like this," as he leaned in and kissed Sushi softly on the lips. Sushi, feeling shy, slowly opened her eyes to find June smiling warmly at her.

"When did you wake up", Sushi asked quietly with husky voice.

"When you tried to kiss me", June still teasing her.

"No, when did I try, I didn't..", as she trying to wake up from that place to stop his teasing.

Quickly, he pulled her back again, causing her to fall into him and meet his gaze once more. With such intensity in his eyes, he asked, "Just five more minutes like this," in a whisper to her.

"I will wake up next to you every day after these next four days. June opened up about how he was feeling, saying, "The thought itself is driving me crazy."

He continued talking, "My parents are arriving tonight for our wedding, which I forgot to mention. Thus, tomorrow afternoon, you and your family have been invited to visit our guesthouse for gathering and lunch. He comforted her, saying, "Don't worry, I'll be here for you. Just be yourself."

"June...., June...., June, I need to tell you something before that," Sushi continued, thinking that she would be exposing her true self if the two families got together tomorrow. She felt compelled to confess to him before anything occurred.

"What is it, Chloe? tell me," June continued.

Sushi was terrified to tell the truth at once, but she mustered up her courage to do so because she knew that this was her only chance to tell. She began to admit, "June.,,,,I'm deeply apologetic for what I did to you. In fact, I didn't mean to betray you; it's simply circumstances turned out."

"I am not who you think you are and I am not Chloe," she said, closing her eyes and raising her voice.
