Unexpected Guest

Day 5

June stood outside Sushi's house early in the morning, his heart beating with excitement. Eager to spend time with her, he had made the decision to pay her a surprise visit. He couldn't help but smile as he pressed the doorbell, picturing her happy expression upon seeing him.

Inside, the unexpected ring of the doorbell startled Sushi. She answered it quickly because she didn't think anyone would be in at this hour. But her amazement rapidly gave way to anxiety when she spotted June standing on the other side. Unprepared for his visit, she wore her regular home clothes and had her hair undone exactly looking like her ownself.

Sushi halted, startled, for a second before slamming the door shut. Unsure of what to do, she paced back and forth in the corridor. June rang the doorbell again while he was still outside, his smile unflinching in the face of the unexpected response.

Sushi hesitated for a few seconds before deciding to take June's call. He wanted to see her, and he said so in a kind and genuine voice. "I wanted to see you and I missed you," he muttered. "I went to see my soon-to-be in-laws. Why am I not being accepted?"

Sushi experienced a wave of contradictory feelings. Although she was flattered that June wanted to meet her, she felt self-conscious about her messy appearance. She asked for a few minutes to gather herself before answering yes to let him in.

Sushi hurried upstairs, straightened her hair, and put on a new clothing. As she walked back toward the entrance, her heart was racing with anxious desire. Breathing deeply, she opened it to see June standing on the other side, his eyes sparkled with happiness at seeing her.

"Hi," she said, feeling a mixture of excitement and apprehension.

"Hi," June replied, his smile widening.

As June stepped into the home, Sushi greeted him warmly and invited him to take a seat in the living room. She disappeared into the kitchen for a moment, returning with a tray of refreshments.

"Would you like something to drink?" she asked, her voice tinged with nervousness.

June smiled gratefully and accepted the offer, settling into the comfortable sofa as Sushi placed the tray on the coffee table.

As they began to chat, June inquired about Sushi's family. "Where are aunt and uncle?" he asked curiously.

Sushi's smile faltered slightly as she replied, "They went out of town yesterday and won't be back until tomorrow."

June's expression shifted to one of surprise and concern. "You stayed alone last night?" he asked, his voice filled with worry.

Sushi nodded, a twinge of loneliness at the prompt. "Yes, it was just me," she admitted, trying to brush off the concern. "But I'm used to it. It's not a big deal."

June's concern only deepened at her response. He couldn't bear the thought of Sushi being alone and vulnerable, especially after his unexpected visit.

"I wish I had known," he said softly, reaching out to squeeze her hand gently. "I would have come over to keep you company."

Sushi's heart fluttered at the sincerity in June's words. Despite the initial awkwardness of his surprise visit, she couldn't help but feel touched by his care and desire.

She said, mumbling, "Maybe you can do that today," not realizing that she was speaking aloud to her inner voice.

June blushed slightly as he asked once more, "Are you sure you're okay with me staying over?"

"I... uh... I mean... yes... no... maybe?" Sushi stammered, her cheeks flushing with embarrassment.

June chuckled at her response, finding her adorable in her confusion. "I'll take that as a yes," he teased gently, a playful glint in his eyes.

Sushi couldn't help but smile, trying to steer the conversation away from the awkward moment, she suggested breakfast.

"Have you had breakfast yet?" she asked, gesturing towards the kitchen. "I can whip something up for you if you'd like."

June's stomach rumbled in response, confirming that he hadn't eaten yet. "That sounds wonderful," he replied with a smile, following Sushi into the kitchen.

As sushi started taking veggies from the refrigerator and chopping them, June held her hand and paused, giving her the impression that he was back-hugging her and buzzing at her ears.

"Why don't you let me take care of the cooking today?" June suggested, his warm breath tickling her ear. "You can just sit back and watch. I'll prepare something special for you."

Before Sushi could respond, June picked her up effortlessly, lifting her into his arms, and gently set her down on the kitchen table.

As June walked away to do something with veggies, Sushi couldn't contain her emotions. She pulled him tight and closer, putting her arms around his neck and giving a sweet little peck on his forehead as if they already got marries. He drew her in closer, kissing her lips, his hands were wrapping around her body, just when she was about to give up on him out of shyness.

They were both totally immersed in the moment, acting as though if they miss this chance, their love would fade. They seemed to be waiting for each other forever until all of a sudden, she felt shaken when her phone rang. They both realized what they were doing, moved away from each other out of shyness, and instantly chuckled.

Sushi watched with admiration as June deftly made breakfast, showing off his ease and confidence in the kitchen. She was fascinated by his movements as he chopped vegetables and stirred pots with an effortless elegance.

Once breakfast was ready, they sat down to eat, enjoying the delicious meal together. June suggested that they go out to try on their wedding outfits. Sushi agreed, feeling a flutter of excitement at the thought of seeing herself as a bride.

When they finally got at the bridal boutique around lunchtime, June couldn't help but be in awe of every dress Sushi had tried out. He struggled to decide which dress he liked most as he watched her try on dress after dress, each one more beautiful than the previous. He was excited for their future together and felt a feeling of stunned silence as he saw Sushi dressed for her wedding.

Sushi looked stunning in her gorgeous white wedding gown; she radiated grace and elegance. The dress, with its elaborate lace and delicate beading, gently embraced her curves, highlighting her slim frame. Her shiny hair framed her lovely features as it flowed down her back in gentle waves. Her eyes bright with waiting for acceptance, she stood before June, her smooth fingertips tracing the delicate lace designs. She embodied the epitome of a perfect bride, a picture of ageless beauty about to go down the aisle and into a happy and loving future.
