Plans Gone Awry

After some time, Sushi emerged from the restroom, her mind swirling with schemes, and took a seat in front of Huan.

"Are you feeling better now?" Huan inquired.

Ignoring his question, "Huan, can you help me with something?" Sushi pleaded, her eyes imploring.

"What is it now?" Huan asked, his annoyance evident.

"Could you do something to keep Nivi away?" Sushi asked, hoping for some ideas from Huan.

"What are you doing, Sushi? Why are you spying on your husband? Don't you trust him?" Huan questioned, trying to reason with her.

"It's not June that I don't trust, it's Nivi. She's manipulative and I fear she'll do something to June. She's trying to spend the night with him tonight at the penthouse," Sushi replied, her emotions mixed.

"Well, that is quite fast. She's quite talented, it seems. I have to give her some credit," Huan laughed involuntarily, quickly composing himself upon realizing that he is infront of Sushi.

"Then what do you want me to do? How am I supposed to take Nivi away? I can't just kidnap her, right?" Huan quipped sarcastically.

"I have a plan. Once they're in the penthouse, I'll cut the power. Then quickly figure out a way to get her out of there," Sushi explained her scheme.

"Do you really think that will work? And do you even know where the power outlets are?" Huan questioned skeptically.

"I noticed on the way out of the restroom that it's not a centralized lighting system. They have separate power outlets for each floor in case of emergencies. So we should be able to find one easily on the top floor," she elaborated.

As Sushi noticed that June was starting to feel a little tipsy and Nivi was leading him upstairs, she quickly urged Huan to get up from the table and started following them.

They hid against the wall as they watched Nivi and June wait for the elevator, with June appearing a bit dizzy while Nivi supported him.

"Just hold on a little longer, June. I'm coming to rescue you," Sushi thought to herself, pulling Huan along and preparing to enter another elevator as soon as Nivi and June boarded theirs.

Meanwhile, Nivi realized Sushi following them and believed that everything was going according to her plan. "Remember what we discussed. This is your chance. Ask her about it clearly." Nivi whispered to June, gently patting his cheek to help him sober up slowly.

"I only tried to get you a little tipsy. How did you manage to drink so much in the short time I was in the restroom?" Nivi asked as she guided June out of the elevator.

Nivi brought him carefully into the bedroom when they reached at the top floor of the penthouse.

In a haste to locate the guest house's power outlet, Sushi said, "Go and take her away; in the meantime, I will go and find power and switch it off," leaving Huan to take care of the rest.

Huan, despite his reluctance, took a moment to sympathize with Sushi's attempts and proceeded cautiously to do something about Nivi.

The electricity went out as he cautiously made his way into the bedroom. Realizing that Sushi had located the plug, he used his phone to flip the torch.

Sushi returned to the bedroom with her mobile phone light and discovered that nobody was there except June. "I know you will help me, Huan. Thank you," she said as she hurriedly shut the bedroom door.

The whole set of lights came on as she arrived at June's bedside with the assistance of the faint light coming from her phone.

She overheard June, still drowsy laughing while lying on the bed and mumbling to himself.

She asked him, sitting on the bed, "What are you dreaming of that made you laugh like this?" and put her hands on him tenderly, as though calming him.

In a flash, he held her hand while chanting, "Sushi!" and laughing at the same time. Sushi became aware that he was thinking about her. She simply lay next to him, her hands wrapped around him, one beneath and one above. She gave him a pretty intense hug, she hugged him like as her big teddy bear at home.

June noticed Sushi by his side as he gently opened his eyes. There was silence for a time as their eyes met. His chuckle turned into a quiet melody that ran through his mind. His eyes gradually became red, and a teardrop dripped from his side of the face.

Sushi's heart broke upon witnessing his tears. She came to the realization that despite his terrible pain, there was nothing he could do. It was her that forced him into that melancholy.

Tears were streaming down her face and eyes as they got red. With no words to express their longing for one another, they just wanted to cry looking at each other.

June abruptly flipped over on her back, which allowed him to put one hand gently under her head to rest on his shoulder as the other wiped away her tears.

"Why? Why, even though I despise you, I feel comfortable in your arms? Why can't I let you go when I just know you two months ago? Why am I forgiving you for every mistake you were doing?

In that depressing moment, he was whispering, "I can't stand seeing you with another man. You're driving me insane."

She could literally feel his breath. His hands moved from her shoulder to waist as he began kissing her, losing himself in that passionate moment.

He couldn't help but continue kissing her as her hands were moving around his back. The intensity of their steamy moment only got hotter as his every inch of his body craved for her.

That evening, they got entangled in themselves. June just couldn't realize that his longing for her was not just past two months but his entire lifetime wait. He failed to recognize his love for her.

The next morning, in the same penthouse, a person woke up slowly, his head throbbing with pain. He tried to move his hands, but they felt restrained, as if bound by rope. Opening his eyes, he realized he was only in his undergarments, his hands tied securely with cable thread.

Shaking his head, he attempted to recall the events of the previous night. Suddenly, a memory flashed before his eyes.

Attempting to shout, he found his voice muffled, his mouth gagged.

"It was either June or Nivi who hit me hard on the back of my head and pulled me to the ground," he thought to himself.

Frustrated and bewildered by the events, he attempted to move on the bed, only to discover a message written on the mirror in what appeared to be women's lipstick: "Thank you for the wonderful night. I enjoyed your company, Huan!!"

"Nivi!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!", he shouted as hard as he can in silence.
