Tokyo Tower has fallen!

***Chapter cover***

POV Third Person

When the riots began, the Japanese Prime Minister was in a meeting that takes place every six months at Tokyo Tower to discuss the funding plan for the police force with Police Chief Kenji Tsuragamae. However, none of them was prepared for the resounding failure of the operation to subdue Hydra and its consequences.

Inside the now-fortified Tokyo Tower devoid of civilians and employees, a group of officials is gathered around a map of the city with tense and sweaty faces. From policemen, members of the Prime Minister's security team, and even a couple of local heroes. All this while the Japanese Prime Minister watches them with a stern look.

"We have lost control of the southern part of the city and the slums <Woof>. Riots and attacks on many hero agencies in the city have also been reported, while the police forces together with some heroes are holding a defensive line here, here, and here." Police chief Kenji Tsuragamae reports, with his intimidating dog head and his dapper suit with a Dalmatian tie, pointing his finger at some areas of the city on the map, not far from Tokyo Tower.

Although Kenji doesn't show it publicly, he internally is very concerned about this whole situation, as Hosu's police chief he had to travel to Tokyo to meet with the Prime Minister and discuss the funding of the police force. Due to his canine instincts or random fate, he decided to bring a group of his men in case something went terribly wrong and his instincts weren't wrong.

The last reports he got from Hosu, were a few riots which were quickly put down by the local heroes in conjunction with the help of the police. However, there are cities where the situation got out of hand suspiciously quickly… And Tokyo is one of those cities.

"According to the protocol, the Heroes Commission is obliged to coordinate and redistribute reinforcements in the affected areas." The Japanese Prime Minister says firmly before scowling in disgust and continuing. "The reinforcements from the Hero Commission should arrive soon and clean up all the mess they caused themselves." He muttered, waving his hand dismissively, causing an awkward silence to spread among the people in front of him, who began to look at each other nervously until all eyes landed on the Police Chief.

"My Prime Minister…" Kenji says as sweat breaks down his canine face before he swallows a lump in his throat and grits his teeth. "The Hero Commission…" He says trying to contain the tension in his voice before being abruptly interrupted by the person next to him.

"The Hero Commission will not send reinforcements." The Prime Minister's head of security intervenes quickly with a dark look. "We have lost all contact with them and from what we have been able to confirm... They have locked themselves in their impenetrable tower." He says with a firm and cutting tone of voice, causing the tension around him to be even more unbearable while the rest of those present hold their breath and look at the Prime Minister.

The silence lasted for a brief moment until the Prime Minister with his trembling hand slowly removed his glasses with a completely stunned expression before fury broke out on his face, crushing his glasses in his hands.

"This is unacceptable! The Hero Commission had a responsibility to act immediately and work together with the hero agencies and law enforcement to respond to this crisis!" The Prime Minister exclaims completely overwhelmed with anger, punching the city map hard and abruptly standing up before walking over to a huge transparent window not far from him where the city can be seen splendidly.

"Traitors! How dare they hide inside their damn tower after the mess they caused by their incompetence?!" He exclaims through clenched teeth in fury as he points to the Hydra symbol above the city of Tokyo and gazes with a hint of fear at the chaotic city below him. "We should never have given them so much power." He mutters under his breath watching the smoke billow up in the distance.

"Mr. Prime Minister, please stay away from the windows, even with the bottom of the tower along with the elevator access secured you may still be in danger." The Prime Minister's security chief says seriously before turning his gaze to the Chief of Police.

"Your head of security isn't entirely wrong <Woof>." Kenji mutters. "However, I assure you that my subordinates have implemented a strong security perimeter around the tower. Also, keep in mind that my men will not abandon their post at the slightest sign of danger <Woof>." he says proudly before a dark look spreads across his canine face. "Unlike certain heroes, I've seen in this city." He snarls making clear his annoyance with the heroes who fled the city in its time of greatest need.

"Hey!"

"Do not generalize…"

The only two heroes present exclaimed indignantly with their faces red with embarrassment, while everyone's attention focused on them, with some looks of disgust, disinterest, and distrust… causing both heroes to clench their teeth and fists in frustration.

"Anyway, following your Head of Security's suggestion, I have diverted a police helicopter which should land at the tower's heliport in a few minutes to complete your evacuation to a safer place <Woof>." Kenji quickly reports, causing the Prime Minister to nod in agreement.

"There's no sign of All Might and most of the big-name heroes are down for the count… First the Endeavor incident and now this. I guess we've really overrated heroes." The Prime Minister mutters reflectively with his hands behind his back, watching the moon with a dark gaze.

Right after, all the lights suddenly went out leaving Tokyo Tower in the dark before a loud explosion rocked the structure.

The show had started.

"Hey! What happened downstairs?!" Kenji quickly exclaims into his police radio trying to communicate to no avail with some of his men stationed at the bottom of the tower. "Someone answer me!" He exclaims with concern, holding his police radio tightly, while those present begin to grow impatient and fear the worst. All this until finally, a theatrical voice responded through the radio confirming the suspicions of many and causing everyone to hold their breath.

"Ladies and gentlemen! The magnificent Mr. Compress has arrived on stage and is proud to present you with a wonderful Hydra-sponsored show to brighten up this beautiful chaotic night. So hold on to your seats and enjoy the show!" Mr. Compress fervently exclaims over the radio. "And if you guys try to stop the show... Prepare to vanish." He whispers sinisterly, abruptly ending the communication with loud static.

Immediately after, power returns to the entire tower at the same time that the lights above the elevator doors come on, drawing the attention of several people. "He has activated the elevator! Code Red!" The head of security exclaims causing his men to immediately draw their weapons and form a protective circle around the Prime Minister.

"Don't worry, Prime Minister, we will take you safely to the helipad where we will await the arrival of the helicopter." The head of security says quickly, making a series of hand signals before beginning to escort the Prime Minister through the halls of Tokyo Tower along with some of his men.

"Prepare to stop the intruder!" Kenji exclaims, drawing his revolver and pointing his gun in the direction of the elevator door along with the rest of the police officers present and some members of the Prime Minister's security team. All this while the rather nervous pair of local heroes position themselves in front of the group awaiting the arrival of the uninvited guest.

After a few moments of tense silence, the elevator doors slowly opened with a subtle metallic whirr before both heroes audibly roared and abruptly jumped on top of the newcomer, immediately knocking him to the ground.

"We got you, villain!" Both heroes exclaim in unison over their opponent before they are both shocked to realize that his opponent turned out to be just a mannequin identical to Mr. Compress. "Shit." They whisper with their faces completely pale and confused before a marble falls from the ceiling and bounces with a subtle clink next to them, causing the Police Chief's eyes to widen in surprise.

"It is a trap!" Kenji exclaims before a burst of smoke completely covers the elevator and spreads rapidly in all directions, enveloping everyone in an instant.

"I see nothing!

"Damn! Nobody shoot!

"Where's my partner?! My partner has disappeared!"

"Shinigami! We all are going to…!"

As expected, the screams of the confused policemen and members of the Prime Minister's security did not wait. All this while a menacing figure moved nimbly through the smoke as if he were the god of death, claiming his victims with a subtle touch of his hands. As a result, the screams began to abruptly cease, one by one, followed by the characteristic clink of a marble bouncing on the ground.

The few people who managed to escape the thick smoke now form a last defensive line, aiming their trembling weapons in the direction of the smoke screen not far from them including the police chief. "Hold your positions!" Kenji exclaims before a flurry of cards shoots up at high speed through the smoke and slams into the weapons of the last defenders, sending his weapons flying from his hands.

Just then, Mr. Compress emerges from the smoke with rehearsed elegance, his footsteps echoing clearly and his white cloak billowing epically behind him as his mask casts a deep red glow in his visors. "I won't let them interfere with the show." he says slyly, sizing up his unarmed opponents as he tucks his card pistol into his belt before quickly pouncing on them.

At this, Police Chief Kenji Tsuragamae quickly pulls his radio from his belt, watching helplessly as his men were turned into little marbles in front of him before summoning all his courage and pressing the button on his radio. "The enemy has breached the defenses, Tokyo Tower has fallen, I repeat…"

"…Tokyo Tower has fallen!"

This was the last action of the police chief before being turned into a small and harmless marble.

Tension hung in the air as the radio transmission reached the ears of the remaining members of the Prime Minister's security team. The silence was broken only by the echo of their own footsteps as they made their way through the narrow corridors, escorting the Prime Minister.

The Head of Security guided the group with a firm hand, vigilant against any possible threat that might arise at that critical moment while the entire team remained alert, aware that any mistake could have catastrophic consequences. They all knew without a doubt that if anything happened to the Prime Minister, Japan would succumb to a bloody civil war from which it would not recover.

"Do something! That lunatic is coming for my head!" The Prime Minister exclaims with his face completely pale and sweaty.

Given this, the head of security makes an imperative signal to the prime minister to keep quiet. Then, he begins to perform some hand signals drawing the attention of his men and causing half of them to stay behind and take up defensive positions in order to try to delay the enemy for as long as possible.

Immediately after, the head of security along with the Prime Minister and a small group of his men continue advancing through the narrow corridor until they eventually arrive at a small helipad used mainly for emergencies. All this while a police helicopter began to circle around the tower, preparing to land.

"Excellent! Over here!" The Japanese Prime Minister exclaims in relief, as the helicopter lands not far from him. This causes the Prime Minister along with his security team to start approaching the helicopter quickly before the helicopter's sliding doors open abruptly and its occupants are revealed.

"Good night!" A man exclaims gleefully, descending from the helicopter with a loud sound of his armored boots hitting the ground, covered from head to toe in an armored tactical suit and holding a strange rifle in his hands.

"It's a beautiful night to change this society... Don't you agree, Mr. Prime Minister?" He says slowly with a predatory grin behind his armored mask, as behind him, four men in the same tactical suits also descend from the helicopter before the moonlight illuminates the Hydra symbol etched on his armored chest.

"Hail… Hydra!"
