Chapter 24 Hero and Villain

POV Isamu

Two hours before

"Wait a minute, little brat, you're telling me that you plan to trap All Might inside a twisted labyrinth you created below the tower. Did I listen well?" Doctor Ujiko asks behind a holographic screen massaging his mustache.

Deep within the Tower of Chaos lies a massive and terrifying labyrinth built specifically to hold All Might long enough for me to have fun without worrying about a Texas Smash landing on my little head.

"Summarizing it in a few words, yes." I say with an innocent smile on my face before raising a finger. "Because I will be busy carrying out my evil activities, I need you to take full control of the fearsome labyrinth and keep All Might distracted. "You can use my bioweapons if you think it's necessary." I wave my hand dismissively.

"However, you must not allow any of the weapons to escape, that would be very troublesome." I say quickly scratching my head.

This causes Ujiko's eyes to light up.

It is incredible what can be achieved by combining genetics with my technology and if I can imagine it… I can find a way to make it happen and in the depths of the Tower of Chaos are the results of some experiments.

"I see… I see. You don't have to worry, brat, I'll take good care of your bioweapons as if they were mine." Ujiko says quickly nodding his head.

"You're only interested in the field test, old man." I laugh lightly. I am sure that Ujiko only agreed to help me for the purpose of collecting data for his private investigation, however, he is the best suited for this and his investigation could be of use in the future.

"You are quite insightful." Ujiko whispers massaging his mustache with an evil smile on his face. "And tell me…brat, what do you really plan to do?" He asks seriously looking at me carefully behind the holographic screen.

"What do I plan to do?" I whisper taking a chocolate chip cookie out of my pocket before biting into it. "I will create chaos around me and enjoy every moment." I say as a shitty grin spreads across my face.

Ujiko just sighs. "Try not to get killed brat, I'd hate to lose such a magnificent specimen." He whispers.

Is this his way of wishing me good luck? Wait, did he just call me a specimen?

"However, if for some reason you die, I will do my best to recover your brain." Ujiko says quickly nodding to himself before ending the communication.

"Well, from now on I'll try not to be alone in the same room with him." I whisper, picking up a small puppet in the shape of Hawks from the ground.

"Soon… very soon, chaos will take over this entire place." I whisper watching the little puppet as my eyes sparkle with amusement. "Then the chaos will spread everywhere." I whisper as a crooked smile spreads across my face.

In this game, I will be the last boss to defeat, I will be the one who controls the threads behind the scenes of heroes and villains alike... Unlimited entertainment at the reach of my little hands.

"And it will be wonderful!" I exclaim happily throwing the puppet at a bunch of other puppets in the shapes of different heroes and villains.

POV Third Person

Present time.

"People work because they believe there will be a reward, but equal effort does not always mean equal gain." Child Emperor hums as he propels himself at full speed backwards with the help of his three-dimensional rocket shoes.

At this, a blade made of feathers crashes to the ground right where Child Emperor was a few moments ago, scattering dust and debris all over the place. Through the dust you can see Hawks hunched over with some burns and holding his sharp blade with a terrifying look on his face as he gives in to hate and anger.

"It is not possible to say that there is balance, the logic that everything happens for a reason. The truth is much less designed." Child Emperor hums using his three-dimensional rocket shoes to stay airborne as Hawks flexes his muscles.

"No matter how hard you work!" Child Emperor exclaims happily raising both hands in the air before snapping his fingers. This causes the arena to shake slightly before dozens of small Furbies emerge from the ground along with some Battle Droids which were buried at the ends of the amphitheater.

"When you die, you die!" Child Emperor exclaims with a thumbs down in Hawks' direction as if he were a Roman Emperor while a crooked smile remains hidden behind his gas mask.

"Roger, Roger!" exclaim the Battle Droids surrounding and pointing their weapons in Hawks's direction.

"He-He-He!" The Furbies exclaim, forming small balls of energy in their mouths as they begin to move towards Hawks.

At that moment a sad melody begins to play throughout the amphitheater causing Hawks' eyes to widen and he clutches his head tightly.

Then Hawks' wings instinctively wrap around his entire body as he is bombarded by explosions and laser beams causing a column of black dust and smoke to spread around him.

While this was happening Child Emperor slowly descends to the ground at a safe distance from the explosions and continues his monologue which is being heard by millions of people around the world.

"Many people spend their whole lives trying to get to the top, they strive, they try and still die in misery being discarded by society." Child Emperor says passionately with a hand on his heart causing many people around the world to clench his fists.

"While others are born with a silver spoon in their mouth without ever having worked. It's a random and cruel world!" He exclaims as a powerful explosion occurs right where Hawks is, causing numerous burning feathers to be shot at full speed in all directions dissipating the smoke completely.

At this, the feathers begin destroying everything in their path, quickly wiping out all the Battle Droids and Furbies around Hawks causing numerous explosions throughout the amphitheater before the feathers head straight for Child Emperor.

The sad melody being played throughout the amphitheater was the last trigger needed to collapse Hawks' fragile mind. "Haaaaah!" Hawks yells, holding his head in both hands and taking a couple of steps back.

"What really is a hero?! What really is a villain?!" Child Emperor exclaims furiously clenching his fists and looking directly at the small hidden camera as a hexagonal barrier engulfs him before powerful bolts of electricity shoot out from his barrier intercepting and knocking down some of the feathers.

"Answer the question of a confused child!"

Just then, the ground begins to tremble slightly as the electrified hexagonal barrier protects Child Emperor from Hawks' rampaging attack, who soon after falls to his knees holding his head with a blank stare before falling unconscious to the ground due to mental exhaustion.

This causes the feathers around Child Emperor to cease their attack and fall harmlessly to the ground as Hawks' consciousness begins a battle against the demons that torment him.

Just like Child Emperor planned.

At this, the tremors get stronger and stronger causing Child Emperor's eyes to light up with amusement as he watches a crater in the distance, he knows what it means. Captain Celebrity is back and he's very angry.

Then an explosion ripple through the crater and soon after the figure of Captain Celebrity becomes visible rising into the air with outstretched arms as if he were a savior. He has multiple wounds on his body while his hero suit is a mess.

"You shouldn't have done that." Captain Celebrity growls taking off his trademark goggles, now broken before crushing them between his hands as he slowly descends to the ground. "The plane's navigation system, the scandal against me, was not a coincidence... It was you!" He exclaims pointing at Child Emperor with a dark look on his face.

The threads of fate are being manipulated by a little boy. A small shadow that lurks in the dark that cannot be sated.

"Oh? And tell me, hero, what will you do about it?" Child Emperor says with a cocky smile behind his gas mask before placing both hands on his protective barrier causing the remaining electricity from his gloves to start spreading throughout the barrier.

Captain Celebrity glances briefly at Hawks, who is lying unconscious at the other end of the arena and shakes his head in disappointment.

"I'll kill you, of course." Captain Celebrity growls. "The Heroes Public Safety Commission offered me a good deal on your head and after everything that's happened." He says with a cruel smile on his face. "I'm going to enjoy it like you can't imagine." He whispers causing indescribable anger in countless people around the world.

"So this is what a hero really is?" Child Emperor whispers shaking his head slowly as electricity gathers right in the center of his barrier. "No hero helped me, no hero told me that everything would be fine, they abandoned me to my fate as happens with many other people... Being abandoned by society." He laughs slightly.

"However, I no longer need them, because now… I am my own Hero!" Child Emperor exclaims as the fire in the hearts of many people around the world lights up. "And if that makes me the bad guy in this story. So be it!" He exclaims passionately.

"I will show you the power of a true HERO." Captain Celebrity growls flexing his legs and clenching his fists as the ground beneath him cracks before flying swiftly at Child Emperor with a look on his face that would scare smaller children.

"I'll accept my role and at least be a memorable villain." Child Emperor whispers as a predatory smile spreads across his face causing electricity to condense into a single point on his protective barrier forming a kind of green electricity.

"Avada Kedavra!" Child Emperor exclaims with all his might, releasing the electricity gathered in his barrier and causing a powerful green beam to be fired from his protective barrier, destroying everything in its path toward Captain Celebrity.

Captain Celebrity's eyes widen and he forces his quirk to generate three aerodynamic barriers in front of him. In that, the powerful green beam hits the barriers causing one of them to be destroyed almost instantly and the rest begin to crack causing burns on Captain Celebrity as he gets closer and closer with both fists extended forward.

"Full Power!" They epically scream in unison and almost instantly Captain Celebrity's burn-covered fist slams into Child Emperor's protective barrier causing blinding light to cover the entire amphitheater.

While this was happening, countless people are holding their breath, people who feel identified, people who were abandoned by society, and people with similar ideals. They all watch helplessly... As hatred grows deeper and deeper within their hearts.

Soon after, Child Emperor's protective barrier shattered...

Causing the invisible threads of Child Emperor to spread throughout the world.

Bonus: Agents of Hydra.

I find myself watching giant screens in the center of the city with hundreds of people as the screens play the news… Specifically the Child Emperor battle and his moving speech.

As expected, many people's faces are pale while others have their fists clenched… the heroes around the crowd are nervous and some smarter police officers have started to leave the area.

I guess it's time to do my part.

"Ganbare! Child Emperor!" I exclaimed with all my strength causing many people to look at me, however, my cry was the trigger that was needed.

"You can do it, Child Emperor! You are my favorite villain!" A kid in a scarf exclaims at the top of his lungs clenching his fists.

"Defeat that damn hero!" A man with a mutant quirk exclaims raising his fist in the air as other people also begin to show their support for Child Emperor.

A smile spreads across my face as I watch one of the heroes in the crowd begin to back away slowly, his face completely pale.
