As soon as we entered the ball room our presence was announced.
Ladies and gentle men,I present to you king Marcus Williams of marikun kingdom and his daughter princess Jane Marcus of marikun kingdom.
The guest were clapping as we descended the stairs
We went to sit on our sit,I sat down majestically and was looking around when I noticed that the people were looking at me.thier faces were mixed with awe, surprise and jealousy.
My father stood up and introduce me as his daughter.the guest applauded me,I was feeling overwhelmed,I feel like am a star.
While I was feeling good about myself,I noticed someone looking at me dangerously from the midst of the guest,I feel like I have seen him before.
I was still stearing at the person when I heard my name
"Jane"the king called
"Yes father"I answered going to him
"I want you to meet Felix Desmond the minister of marikun kingdom"my father said holding my hands
"Good evening minister Felix,it's my pleasure to meet you"I greeted bowing slightly
"The pleasure is all mine"replied smiling
"Your majesty the princess has grown up to be a beautiful princess"the minister said
"Jane can you please give us a moment"the king requested
"As you wish father"Jane replied and left
The king and the minister went and seat on their seats when the queen joined them
"Good evening my queen, you look lovely today"the minister treated the queen
"Thank you minister you look good as well"she replied smiling
"My husband you came to the ball without me"she asked the king
"Forgive me my queen,by the way you look beautiful"he complimented,he didn't want her to know that he came to ball with the princess instead of her
"Apology accepted my king, you were saying something with the minister before I came"she said looking from the king to the minister
"Oh..yes I was talking to the king about princess Jane"the minister said
"What about her"she asked.she don't want to be left in what ever they were saying about Jane
"My king don't you think the princess should be married to my son?"the minister asked the king
"The princess is still young,till she clock eighteen she won't be getting married"the king said to the minister
"Oh..ok..I just need your approval for my son to be her soon to be husband"he said
"Does your son knows about this"
"Yes of course,he has been in love with the princess for a long time now"the minister replied
"(I think Jane will be safe with him after all he is the commander of my army and the heir of the minister house)"the king thought withing himself
"Ok.. you have my approval"the king said smiling
"Thank you my king,I think we should introduce them to each other"the minister said with joy in his heart
The queen wasn't happy about it but she didn't say anything
