Jane and Dexter could be seen talking to each other

"Can I have a dance with you my princess"Dexter asked stretching forth his hands

Jane was frozen,this was the first time a man is asking her for a dance

"Errmm"I murmured not knowing what to say,I look at my father and he signal me to go ahead

"If the Young general is willing to dance with me, why not!"Jane replied smiling

Dexter took her to the dancing floor and they danced for sometime before going back to their seats.

If eyes could kill am sure Jane would have been dead by now.alot of girls were glaring at her.one of them is her sister Victoria

"Jane can I ask you a question"Dexter asked

"Yes"

."well I don't know if I should say this now?"Dexter said looking at her

"Say what..go ahead and say it"Jane urge's him to say what he wants to say

"Will you Court me... I mean marry me?, cause I really like you alot and I really wish for you to be my wife"Dexter said holding her hands

I was shocked to hear that.i wasn't expecting that from him.he is too handsome for me.with the way I was being used like a maid in the palace I wasn't expecting him to notice me talk more of liking me.

"Wel...well..I.. will love to court you before marriage but you have to talk with my father about it"Jane answered happily

"Really"

"Yes of course but let me warn you is not easy to date a princess"

"Am sure I can"he said pushing out his chest making him look funny

And that was how I was engaged to Dexter. Everything was going well.i was being taught how to take care of my husband and make him happy and be good wife.although my stepmother was not happy about it.

The wedding date has been fixed to three weeks time.my younger sister Victoria is helping me out but sometimes she behaves as if we are quarreling

One faithful afternoon I was done with my marital lesson for that day and I was heading back to my quarters when a lady walk up to me and said

"I know you must be feeling happy marrying my man"the lady said eyeing her

"I don't understand,who are you and what do you mean my man"Jane asked

"Am talking about Dexter. Dexter is my man I love him very much but because of you he will never love me back"the lady said pointing a finger at her

"I don't get you.. please can leave my way am in a hurry, what ever problem you have with him please go and sort it out with him"Jane said

"I wonder what he sees in a bastard like you"Jane spat angrily.she feel like killing that very moment

What's going on here Dexter asked coming from behind them

"Hello Dexter..this lady just came out of.."

"It's nothing Dexter"the lady quickly interrupted Jane before she exposed her to him

"I thought I heard you calling someone a bastard"Dexter asked

"Nooo..I was actually tell.. telling her a story about a third, right princess?"she said looking at Jane
