The ball

Chapter 2

All the Young prince's and Noble men's son are going to be attending the ball to choose a bride.its like a mating season.and all the Young girl's as well are going to be there.the king ordered the maids to dress me up for the ball after much pleading from his advisor.

"My king you need to let her attend the ball please my king"Paul pleaded

"I can't let her go she's still young"king Marcus said

"For goodness sake she's not young, she's seventeen, even girl's at sixteen do get married just let her go or are you scared to let her get married"Paul asked

"Of course, what if she married the wrong person"the king asked worriedly

"She won't, your majesty,or do you like the way she's being treated here,if you are scared then choose a good Man for her"Paul pleaded

"Hhammm, alright I will let her go to the ball"he finally gave up

And now am getting ready for the ball

"You look very beautiful my princess"Lydia my best friend complimented me

"Thank you Lydia,do you think anyone will even look at m?"

"Of course my princess you are the most beautiful princess I have ever seen both in body and soul"Lydia replied

"Awwn thank you Lydia am blushing, now wish me luck"

"I wish you the most handsome and chubby prince that will take good care of you"Lydia said smiling

"Thanks Lydia but not a chubby prince"Jane replied and they both burst out laughing

They were still laughing when they heard a knock on the door

"Yes come in"Jane answered

"Good day my princess, the king request for you"the guard said

"Ok, just give me a minute"Jane replied walking towards her mirror with smile on her face

When she was done checking herself out she turned to Lydia

"I look very beautiful thanks to you"Jane said to Lydia

"It's nothing my princess"

"I will see you tomorrow then"she said and left with the guard

The guard lead the way while I walked majestically and confidently with my head held up high like the princess that I am

We got the sturdy room and the guard knocked on the door and said

"My king, she's here"the guard said

"Let her in"the king answered from inside.

The guard open the door for me

"Good day your majesty"I greeted with a bow and my hands holding my gown

"How are you my daughter"the king asked with a beautiful smile on his face

"Am fine father"i replied raising my head up

When I looked at him I saw surprised and emotions written all over his face.even the guard that escorted me here was looking at me .

"You look beautiful dear just like your mother"

"Thank you Father"I replied, for the first time, my dad complimented me and even talked about my mom

"Alright am going to the ball with you,shall we?"he offered his arm for me

"Yes dad"I reply holding his arm gently
