Tara stands at the foot of her bed and bit her nails in turbulence. The sound of a shower coming from the bathroom was pinching her mettle. How come it never crossed her mind? Taking a deep breath and clutching the blanket to her trembling figure, she sat in the middle of the mattress. He has refused to leave her alone after watching the wounds on her flesh and insisted on spending the night in her room rather than the guest room. She was aware that his real reasons were different. He was scared of what if someone enters the room when she is asleep and takes her life.
Now, when the truth is out, he feared her family might fall to the lowest level to get back at her.
