Chapter Twenty: cursed

~~~Start of the chapter~~~
Izuku and Gojo remain silent as they quickly approach Kenjaku. Izuku moves on the left side, while Gojo goes straight ahead.
In an instant, Gojo launches a purple beam, while Izuku flies over Kenjaku, simultaneously launching a cursed energy beam, whose power is enhanced by his Quirk abilities and the [semi-cursed technique: release 10%].
'Shit, my clone's fight is getting complicated,' Izuku thinks as he watches how Kenjaku controls the gravity around the purple beam, causing it to self-destruct. Then, he evades Izuku's attack by swiftly moving backward.
Meanwhile, Gojo chases Kenjaku and prepares to hit him with an attack imbued with his [blue] technique. However, Kenjaku skillfully dodges Gojo's blow and, instead, uses a curse to hit Gojo. Before the curse succeeds, Izuku falls from the sky and attacks the curse, with a cursed energy beam containing the ability [semi-cursed technique: release 5%]. At that moment, Izuku kicks Kenjaku, making him fall to the ground, and then Gojo takes advantage to give him a kick in the head, lifting him from the ground.
Izuku charges another cursed energy beam [semi-cursed technique: release 10%] and launches it against Kenjaku, causing severe damage. Kenjaku is sent flying through several buildings due to the impact.
However, Kenjaku has no time to rest as Gojo launches two [red] towards where Kenjaku is, who destroys the [red] with his gravity technique.
This causes Kenjaku to unconsciously calm down because he does not believe that Izuku can bypass his cursed gravity technique and that Gojo is at a considerable distance, however, Izuku uses the quirk [zero gravity] and passes Kenjaku's technique as if nothing to then give him a [black flash] right in the face.
This sends Kenjaku into a car that breaks into a thousand pieces "wow, so much destruction," says Kenjaku causing Izuku to realize for a second the destruction he has caused and that if he is not careful they might end up damaging something he can't repair, as witnesses of Izuku's thoughts are the scene left in Shibuya, which is, to say the least, completely desolate and heartbreaking, evoking the image of a terrible battle that has left a trail of devastation. The debris and ruins of the buildings barely stand, as mute witnesses to the violence that has been unleashed here. The dust that was once part of the urban landscape has been swept away by the fury of the conflagration, leaving behind a sterile and dead surface.
The flames have consumed much of what was once a thriving place, leaving only ashes and embers that flicker strongly, like reluctant demons in the midst of darkness. The wreckage has even reached the sewers, which now spit out turbid and foul-smelling water, as if the subsoil itself wanted to show its repudiation of so much destruction.
"And what does that matter to you, after all you are the bad guy, or as I would call you, the big final boss, although you are quite a disappointment," Gojo said mockingly. At that moment, Izuku noticed through his clone that Sukuna had taken control of Itadori's body, even though that shouldn't have happened. This worried him, since this variable could change many things. After all, Sukuna was a prodigy, and although he couldn't defeat Gojo without Mahoraga's tutorial, he could kill the other three special grade sorcerers without much difficulty. 'Is the canon interfering in some way? But that didn't happen when I went to another version of my world... although it could have and I just wouldn't know it' Izuku thought.
'Is it because of the perception I have of those worlds? The fate of this universe is written for me, while in the other world I went to, it was like a blank slate. But that would mean that, depending on my perception, it could break canon, which doesn't make sense. However, my spidey sense should have me tied to a predetermined destination, but I have never felt anything like that happen. Although the energy of my all blades could have something to do with it. I better analyze it when I'm not in the middle of a battle,' Izuku reflected.
'Vestiges, go to the clone and support him,' Izuku told them telepathically, while some fights appeared on his back and then disappeared. This caught the attention of both Kenjaku and Gojo.
~~~flashback 6 days ago (in Izuku's mind)~~~
"Well, I feel more alive than ever!" Yoichi exclaims, while Izuku observes how all the vestiges are full of positive energy that makes them shine in such a beautiful way that it could make anyone believe that they are angels coming to save them…. Although this would only be a side effect of the purest positive energy that exists.
"I feel like I could recover from anything," Nana says as she looks at her hands and plays with her new ability.
"It feels like I'm alive again," Shinomori says as he jumps with a little smiles that involuntarily do because it's a side effect of the positive energy.
In that moment, all the vestiges feel a wave of happiness and confidence wash over their bodies as their worries fade away until they are left with simple, pure childlike joy. However, that moment lasts only a few seconds due to Izuku's intervention.
"Well, well, you can stop smoking positive energy and start training to use it," says Izuku, slightly annoyed by how the vestiges are acting.
"Relax a little Izuku, the life is not only fighting and working or training" Yoichi says as he touches Izuku on the shoulder.
"I'm sorry it's annoying to see old people on drugs," Izuku says sarcastically.
"However, do you think you could use this energy to manifest yourself physically?" Izuku says
"Well, we could try it, although it would be more like a projection, right?" Yoichi says with a little emotion in his voice
~~~Back to the battle~~~
'First I must try to weaken them and then I will occupy my domain expansion although it will be annoying if the other guy manages to get Gojo out of my domain' thinks Kenjaku who manages to calm down a little and come up with a plan against Izuku and Gojo, Kenjaku had a backup plan In case Gojo wasn't sealed, however, he hadn't come up with a backup plan for this situation, after all who would believe that someone could fight alongside Gojo without slowing him down.
"Gojo prepares to put an end to Kenjaku and ensure everyone is safe. Despite trusting Izuku and the others, he prefers to personally confront Sukuna or any other curse to prevent further chaos.
"Cursed Technique: Hollow Purple!" Gojo exclaims as a devastating beam of purple energy heads directly towards Kenjaku, who simply smiles at this.
"It seems you underestimated my power, Gojo Sensei..." Kenjaku calmly says while invoking his fourth "Cursed Technique: Ultimate Counterattack," a shield displaying Christian symbols that absorbs the "purple" attack. Kenjaku then counterattacks by launching a "purple" charged with yellow lightning through the shield, absorbing the residual cursed energy around it and exploding on the path towards Gojo.
Gojo is surprised by this new technique but quickly reacts by sending another "purple" to cancel the incoming attack. The collision causes an explosion that destroys what remains of the city and forces Izuku to take refuge in the sky since even with his "permeation" Quirk, he cannot avoid the damage from a collision of "purples."
*BOOM!!*
The explosion shrouds the area in smoke, blocking the view of any human eye. Fortunately, both Izuku and Gojo manage to remain unscathed through the dense cloud. However, they didn't expect Kenjaku to release over a thousand curses, including 12 of special grade, all aimed at attacking them. This desperate tactic by Kenjaku is necessary if he wants any chance of winning or simply surviving. Making the battle more intense and dangerous with each altercation.
"I'll take care of the curses, and you go after Kenjaku," Izuku tells Gojo.
Gojo simply points at Izuku with one hand and gives a thumbs up 👍, then he heads towards Kenjaku, ignoring the curses around them.
'This will be difficult without [One For All], but I should be able to defeat them without dying' Izuku thinks to himself, aware of the challenges he faces.
Then, Izuku rushes towards the ground, using every quirk he can to empower himself. He uses his special technique, the [cursed semi-technique: release 25%], in the form of an explosion, wiping out over two hundred curses with this area attack and causing a impactful landing that creates a mini tremor.
Hundreds of curses swarm towards Izuku, but with each blow he delivers, two or more of the curses succumb in grotesque explosions. The bloody remnants accumulate, showcasing the madness required to become a sorcerer in this frantic battle that shows no sign of ending.
However, not all curses are so weak. While Izuku fights against the lesser curses, the special grade curse of Smallpox emerges, expanding its dominion and trapping dozens of curses, as well as Izuku, within its reach. As a result, a coffin falls directly onto Izuku, but he easily shatters it as he walks, then destroys every curse that stands in his way as he advances towards the Smallpox curse.
In an instant, Izuku reaches the curse and with a single [black flash] exorcises it, freeing himself from its control. However, this only marks the beginning of the battle, as immediately after escaping, three special-grade curses pounce on him at the same time. The first one appears to be a mutant snake with fangs and mouths scattered all over its body, while green liquid spills around its body. The second one resembles a chimera in the form of a ball, with parts taken from multiple animals that make it a terrifying aberration, straight out of a horror movie. The third one is almost indescribable, but if I had to describe it, it would be like a life-form that mimics a humanoid robot but its entire body is composed of flesh, which makes it the most disturbing of the three.
Izuku prepares to face this challenging encounter as his heart races and tension fills the air. Adrenaline rushes through his veins as he focuses on every move and considers that each of them possesses its own cursed technique, unknown and potentially lethal if directly hit. However, Izuku doesn't hesitate and reacts quickly. He unleashes a powerful [black flash] directly onto the snake-headed curse while simultaneously releasing fire infused with cursed energy into its interior, causing the curse to wriggle in agony as it slowly dies.
Without stopping, Izuku concentrates his energy and fires two compressed beams of cursed energy towards the other two special-grade curses, successfully exorcising them in the blink of an eye. But this attack has taken its toll, leaving Izuku exhausted and weakened. Especially considering that his main offensive power is no longer at his disposal.
"[new order: I recover my stamina much faster] [new order: I recover cursed energy much faster]," says Izuku to keep up with the pace of this endless battle.
With great skill, Izuku continues to fight against the countless curses surrounding him, employing all his abilities to defeat them one after another, despite his exhaustion. As the battle drags on, he decides to recharge energy and only use some quirks in a limited manner.
Izuku deftly dodges the strikes of each curse while effectively killing each one, to the point where he is barely utilizing any quirks due to the remaining low energy.
Suddenly, a special-grade curse in the form of a tentacle ball launches numerous tentacles towards Izuku from over a mile away. Lesser-grade curses cling to the tentacles, attempting to attack him. However, Izuku moves swiftly between the tentacles, jumping skillfully among the lesser-grade curses and eliminating them along the way.
Nevertheless, the tentacles and projectiles keep coming, giving Izuku no respite. 'I must restrain myself to regain my energy and be able to assist Gojo in defeating Kenjaku' Izuku thinks as the hand of a first-grade curse brushes against his hair, but Izuku immediately counters it with a precisely executed kick, unleashing a black flash that instantly annihilates the curse.
*Rumble*
In that moment, a gigantic tentacle emerges from the ground with a deafening roar. Although trying to stop it, Izuku manages to pass through the tentacle effortlessly using the [sliding] quirk, quickly recovering from the setback to go finish off the special-grade curse. "His cursed technique must involve the generation of tentacles, and even though it's simple, it can be quite powerful."

You know I would have made the chapter longer but I have a presentation for tomorrow so I don't have much time but this time I did more editing and used another translator as well as revised it more times so I hope you like this chapter
