Chapter 29. Rekindling The Romance-1
Dante stayed true to his word; spending the rest of the night by my side.
It was surreal, having him sat on my tiny bed, taking up most of the space in my box-like room. We both took care not to mention the elephant in the room; I think being reunited in such a way, made the events of my departure a little less relevant. Personally, I was glad. I don't want to dwell on what happened between us, especially when it seems like the playful and happy Dante has resurfaced. We spoke about useless things, which eased the awkward tension between us. Eventually, I asked about Midnight Fire, and his grim expression resurfaced. Unknowingly, I crossed my fingers, hoping a sullen-faced, withdrawn Dante doesn't make an appearance.
