The hasty arrival of the River Moon search party, made me react quite childishly. Upon hearing my brothers and the girls battling it out with Rob, I launched myself towards the couch, dragging Marcia along with me.

"Don't breathe a word about what happened out there, guys." I mutter quickly, looking for a place to hide.

"Aly, what--" Nora exclaims, sitting up straight.

"Shh!" I put a finger to my lips, stretching out onto the cushions. "Just say I'm asleep. If they ask, I'm okay."

Marcia mirrors my actions, making me scoot along and create some room for her. Taking part of my blanket, she sighs happily. Nora opens her mouth to protest, choosing not to say anything as I yawn reluctantly.
