-A new ally-

The mansion is like an infinite labyrinth and it is easy to get lost in it. There are so many hallways and rooms that it is getting confusing what is meant to be what. Some rooms have absolutely nothing, while others have a mountain of corpses and monsters devouring them. I found that there are monsters everywhere and I needed to be extra cautious. These monsters are blind so I don't have to worry about my flashlight, but what I am worried about is that they have super hearing and they can hear your footsteps from a mile away, so it is better to tiptoe everywhere. there are a lot of drawers everywhere but they are mostly empty except for some that have a water vase for my tulip to not lose all of its petals.

Ivy: (...Another drawer, *sigh* I better check what's inside just in case.)

I open the drawer expecting it to have nothing but to my surprise, there was a small key inside.

Ivy: ...! (A key? It might be useful so I better take it. At least I found something that will help me out a bit, but I wonder what this key even opens... Oh well, I will know soon enough)

I take the key and continue walking around, this time I look for some door that is locked.

Ivy: ( I can't seem to find any door or anything that is locked, strange...)

But as soon as I think that, I see a large locker.

Ivy: ...A locker? I wonder what's inside...

I cautiously approach the locker and try to open it.

Ivy: (It's locked? I see, so that key was for this...)

I take the key out of my bag and insert it into the locker, and to my luck, it works.

Ivy: ( Yes! I wonder what's inside...) ...!

As I open the locker, I am surprised to see what's inside. There inside the locker, is a metal baseball bat.

Ivy: ...A bat? THIS IS AMAZING! I finally have a weapon to defend myself!

Realizing I raised my voice a little too much, I quickly look around to see there is a monster running my way at full speed. I panic and hide inside the locker, begging that the monster does not find me.

Ivy: (STUPID STUPID STUPID!!! WHY DID I SHOUT?! I need to be more careful...)

I look through a hole inside the locker and see the monster is right in front of the locker.

Ivy: (SHIT! Please don't open this, please don't open this. Please...)

I try to remain as still as possible and luckily the monster runs away in an unknown direction. I wait a few more minutes to make sure the monster is truly gone and get out of there.

Ivy: (That is convenient... Well at least I got a bat to defend myself just in case I make another stupid mistake.)

With the metal bat in hand, I continue walking to try to find a way out. In these hallways there are windows but for some reason, I cannot smash them, they are stronger than the metal bat itself. And all the clocks around this mansion are all stopped at 12:00.

Ivy: ( If I cant smash these windows, then what can I do?)

I continue looking around and find another water vase. I take out my tulip to see that it has all of its petals intact so I don't think it needs it, but I take the vase just in case and store it carefully in my bag trying not to let the water spill. But for some reason, even if I turn the vase over, the water does not spill out at all.

Ivy: (...And there goes all logic of gravity, what's up with this vase? The water does not spill at all?! oh well, I guess that is convenient, I might need it later.)

Suddenly, I hear a scream not far from where I am.

???: He-HELP!!!!! I- I DONT WANT TO DIE YET!

Ivy: Huh?!! Someone is in danger!

I quickly dash over to where the scream came from and see a man on the ground slowly moving away from a monster slowly approaching him growling. I freeze for a moment and I quickly take my bag off and put it on the ground. Then I run full speed at the monster with the bat in hand and smash it over its head, causing the monster to fall and turn into black mist.

Ivy: Hey! Are you okay?!

I run to the man but to see he is scared of me as well. I see that he is holding a yellow tulip with a single petal intact. I quickly take my bag and take out the vase.

Ivy: Hey, give me your tulip, you're going to die soon if you don't restore the petals.

???: ...Dont...lie...to...me....I...know..your...a...monster...and...are...trying...to..take...this...and...kill...me...

Ivy: What? NO!

I go up to him and try to take the tulip off of his hands. He tries to struggle, but due to his weak state, he gives up and closes his eyes.

???: just finish me off already...

Ivy: ...

I quickly put the tulip inside the vase and suddenly the tulip started to glow and slowly its petals are growing back. Because of the light that the tulip was limiting, the man opened his golden eyes and is quickly shocked to see the petals regrow.

???: Huh?! So your not here to kill me?

Ivy: Of course not. What, do I look like a monster or something?

???: No... Not really, Its just there are so many different types of monsters in here that I don't think there even are any people here, except for the dead ones.

Ivy: Oh well, do you feel any better?

???: Yes, for some reason, every time my tulip loses a petal, injuries appear on my body. Thank you for saving me, Miss.

Ivy: No problem, but how did you get here?

???: I don't know... Honestly, I was on my death bed and then I woke up here.

Ivy: Death bed?

???: Yeah, I was meant to die, I have a rare disease. But as soon as I came here, all the symptoms disappeared.

Ivy: That's strange.

???: How did you come here?

Ivy: I was chased by some maniac and got hit on the head with a bat.

???: I see, but isn't that strange?

Ivy: What is?

???: We were both going to die and here we are all completely fine.

Ivy: Let's not think of it, for now, I don't think it is a good idea, first we need to find a way out of here.

???: Agreed. By the way, that is your name young miss?

Ivy: Oh, my name is Ivy, what about you?

???: My name is Dimitri.

Ivy: Dimi- what?

Dimitri: Haha, I know it can be confusing for some people. It's Di-mi-tri.

Ivy: Dimitri, alright. Nice to meet you.

Dimitri: Likewise.

Ivy: I think we need to go to a safe room where the monsters cannot find us.

Dimitri: I know of one, come on follow me.

Ivy: Okay.

Dimitri: By the way where did you find that bat?

Ivy: It was inside a locker.

Dimitri: Wait, the one over there? But I thought it was locked.

Ivy: It was, but I found the key.

Dimitri: I see...

After that me and my new ally, Dimitri walk in silence up to the room where the monsters would not find us.
