He shouted "The boy! Kill him!" Magne used his magnetization quirk and repulsed Dabi at the flying group.

Dabi spun in the air, blasting flames as he glared at them but Bullet bit Ida's hand and jumped off at him, clenching his fist, baring the flames on his body as he shouted "Get away from my FRIENDS!" before swinging his fist and nailing Dabi in the chin, sending him spiraling back to the ground.

Bullet threw his cloth up and they all grabbed it, flying away.

Bullet's open wound was dripping blood as he looked at All-Might in the distance. His eyes were blurry and he muttered "No fear…" passing out.

His eyes opened intermittently, seeing flashes of white light and a bright flash in his face, along with tremendous pain.

When he came out of his sedated state, he would scream and jerk violently, with dull eyes wide open.

Before settling down after being sedated again.

The operation… was a long process…

Mei stared at the surgery through a glass window, in a complete daze, her hands pressed on the glass, her brain blank.

After the 4th hour and hearing him scream for the third time, she left the hospital, not coming back.

Izuku and the rest who were there looked at Bullet through the glass, shaking inwardly.

Aizawa watched the entire thing.

From beginning to end.

All-Might had seen a glimpse of what happened and told him everything he knew.

Aizawa clenched his fists behind his back, staring at Bullet on the operation table.

Is this what you meant by 'Hero', Bullet?

Momo told him what they had heard and seen, also what Bullet asked her to make for him… But she burst into tears, telling Aizawa that she didn't know he was going to do something so crazy!

She was really blaming herself real bad.

Aizawa comforted her and hugged her shivering body, telling her, "That's just the kind of person he is, Yaoyorozu… I'm sure he'll be back and operational as soon as he's treated." he sighed and bit and looked at the group, saying "You should all be getting home now. Be careful." They nodded and left.

The next day, the entire Class-1A came to see Bullet.

He was asleep in a hospital bed with tubes and wires attached to his body.

Tsuyu trembled and teared up, walking over and swallowing as she patted his hand. Tears dripped down as she whispered "I-I'm sorry…"

Everyone stayed for a while before leaving, deciding to go make comforting cards, flowers, and balloons… There wasn't much else they could do.

Aizawa lived in the hospital room during this time.

As they all left, Class-1B and Vlad King came by.

Aizawa was puzzled and Vlad King said "They came to apologize and thank him… Not much else they can do really…" the class rushed in and surrounded Bullet's bed, looking at him, shocked at his missing arm.

Ibara cut some of her thorny hair off and left it in a vase next to his bed, remembering when he touched it. Pony left a pair of her horns.

The Class-1B students that Bullet saved by giving himself up cried bitterly, holding Bullet's hand and sobbing loudly. Itsuka frowned sadly and clenched her fist, if only… if only she was stronger!

Actually, the entire class felt this way.

If they were stronger, they could've helped him fight!

Everything that happened to Bullet was their fault from their perspective.

Even Monoma was eerily silent.

He suddenly said "Everyone." they all looked at him and Monoma frowned tightly, saying with difficulty, "Bullet saved us… What's the use crying here?!" Itsuka frowned and said angrily "Bastard! Can't you give it a rest?!"

Monoma slapped her hand away, saying angrily "You think I'm not hurting too?! You think I wanted this?! This guy gave up his life for us! He's lucky to even be alive and you're all crying here like losers! Not for nothing but we should be worrying about getting stronger! You think all this garbage gifts and tears and shit is gonna do anything?!"

He pointed at Bullet, shouting "Listen, bastard! I know you can hear me! Next time you see all of us! You're taking a backseat! You selfish prick! Going and getting your fucking arm blown off! W-We go to UA too! We're not helpless! Damnit!"

Tears spilled from his eyes and he turned around, wiping them as he walked out of the room, saying "I'll show him! When he wakes up, tell him 'Monoma will be the Hero next time!' Fuck!" before disappearing around the corner, wiping his watery eyes.

Class-1B looked at Bullet and swallowed before nodding. They thanked Bullet before leaving without a word, wiping their tears away with determined faces.

Aizawa smiled slightly and looked at Bullet, who was breathing normally. Even like this you're inspiring people… He shook his head as Vlad King sat next to him, asking "And? What did they say?"

Aizawa frowned slightly on this topic, "Recovery Girl came by during the tail-end of the operation. She managed to mitigate some damage but…" he changed the topic, "He'll survive, but they recommended that he drop out and stop trying to be a hero."

Vlad King was silent for a moment before saying "You know, if not for him… There would be a lot more injuries. Maybe even deaths among the Students. Not to mention, he saved everyone except himself."

Aizawa was silent as Vlad King said "He's a hero, no doubt. But…" Aizawa said "You don't think he should come back either." Vlad King sighed, "Shota, it's not about Quirkless or not, or Dreams and aspirations… He's going to die like this! Can you… Can you handle that?"

Aizawa stayed silent and Vlad King patted his shoulder, saying sincerely "As teacher of Class-1B, even I have to thank this kid for saving my students. Let me tell you something, what he pulled off, I can tell you I can't do it! This kid you picked up, Shota. He's a real hero… A real rough and tough son of a bitch. But, I can tell you, for sure, 100%... He will not stop! Next time it's the other arm? The time after that his legs? After that… death? I like him, he's a good boy, but this is about his life!"

Vlad King looked at the silent Aizawa before sighing again, "Just give it some thought, okay?" as he left the room.

Aizawa looked at Bullet on the Hospital bed and crossed his legs, thinking to himself.

The Students of Class-1A came back a while later, leaving Balloons, Cards, Flowers, etc.

There was absolutely zero buzz on the news about Bullet, at all.

The most he would get was a statement on how it was great that no students were seriously injured with only a Quirkless fellow being kidnapped.

After that, nothing.

Not a mention of anything he did, what happened to him, nothing.

A few days later

Only a few continued to visit from Class-1A.

Momo, Katsuki, Izuku, Shoto, Eijiro, and Fumikage.

The rest stopped coming after the 3rd day.

Akira also dropped by and brought the biggest bouquet of flowers. She bawled her eyes out on Bullet, leaning over him and crying loudly. It was unknown how she got the news.

Mei hadn't come once.

Aizawa left to go talk to the parents about Dormitory residencies for the return to school in a few weeks. He would leave in the morning and come back at night for a few days before staying in the hospital room.

In the second week…

Knuckleduster and Tamao walked into the room. Aizawa was surprised and Knuckleduster waved at him, coming to Bullet's side and looking at his missing arm, smiling slightly as he said "When I taught him, he wasn't so crazy."

Aizawa replied slowly, "People change." Knuckleduster laughed and smiled "He's really a hero, eh?" Tamao looked at Bullet sadly, holding his hand. Aizawa let out a breath and closed his eyes, smiling "Saved an entire 2 classes."

Knuckleduster laughed happily and touched Bullet's head, smiling gently "Funny little guy probably tried to die with the enemy… right?" Aizawa didn't answer, but this was an answer in of itself.

Knuckleduster sighed and continued "I told him that real heroes sacrifice to save people… This isn't what I meant. You still have to live, you silly boy." as tears welled in his eyes.

He wiped his eyes with one hand and smiled, turning around to Aizawa, saying "You take care of him, yeah?" Aizawa looked up from his seat and nodded, Knuckleduster grinned, "I'm sure you're going to have your hands full… If you think this is going to stop him… ahaha…"

Aizawa let out a breath, replying "I know it won't." Knuckleduster guessed, "They should've wanted him to drop out, right? Not Hero enough for them? Bunch of bullshit." Aizawa looked at him and Knuckleduster sighed in frustration, rubbing his head, "Well, I guess it's up to you, Aizawa. Hope you can respect his decision when the time comes. Guys like him, this is all they have."

He patted Aizawa's shoulder and tossed something to Tamao, saying "Put it on the table and let's go. The kid is fine, we'll see him again." Tamao held the knuckleduster in her hand, saying in shock "Dad, you?!" Knuckleduster grinned, "Heh… My little apprentice, I can't give him a gift after his hard work?" before nodding at Aizawa and leaving.

Tamao left it on the desk and pinched Bullet's nose gently, saying "See ya 'round, perv." before following after Knuckleduster.

Aizawa sat there and let out a breath.

The days continued to pass just like this.

3 days before School returned in session…

Bullet opened his eyes!
