First day in the new World.

When the boy woke up early the next morning, the first thing he did was grumble:

"Now I know why Ophis says that she wants her 'silence' back all the time... This noise is just way too annoying! Where does this even come from? Guess that's the first thing I'll do once I have trained sufficiently... Now, first things first! What should I call myself? Kidding, that's not even a question! I'm Merlin! Nothing else makes sense, after I gained his looks and abilities! Merlin... yeah! Merlin Ambrosius! That shall be my name from today on!"

'Now, what should I do first? Illusions? Attack magic? healing magic? support magic? or defense? So many choices... Well, first I'll try my new abilities! Aaand for that I need to learn how to manipulate and energies... Lucky I have the memories concerning how to train that! So, lets see... HmHmm... Ohooo... Well, guess I just gotta try it out! So, find a quiet place filled to train.'

He went outside and found a big, flat rock, right in front of his cave, on a lighting in a deep, peacefull forest, with big trees. He then sat on top of it and closed his eyes, concentrating on his surroundings. Once he started focusing, he soon felt something click within him, as if finally falling back into the right place. Once this happened, he suddenly felt a constant flow of energies in the air, the ground, the plants and even himself. When he opened his eyes, he saw different kinds of gas in multiple colours, floating around in the air. Some denser and more present than others, of which some, in return, gave him a stronger feeling. There was blue, green, red, black, gray, yellow and white gases all holding different feelings within. He instinctively understood, that what he was seeing were, in fact, the different kinds of energies in his surroundings. He could also immediately know, what those energies were: Mana, Natural energy, dream energy, infinity energy, demonic energy, divine energy and holy energy.

After looking around for a bit, he then decided to try and look within himself, searching for the reactor from his Archmages essence (from here on called Archgenerator), his connection to the five true magics and power manipulation. After all, he needed to check if everything went as it should! Some time later he felt all of it, and suddenly knew how to use his power manipulation, being pleasantly surprised by the fact, that he already had 2920 charges, indicating that he gained about one charge for every day he would have lived until he appeared in his cave.

(A/N: Made it this way since I want him to be able to create some minor powers, but didn't wanna give him too many charges from the beginning. So this made the most sense, like, gaining a little bit of charges, but way less than if concious.)

He immediately tried it out, by creating a 'Status' ability, capable of showing his most important abilities and information to him, making it easier to keep track of.

'Well, since this is the first ability I have created, I should definitely check how it works, right?

Here goes nothing... 'Status'!'

'Neat, works as I expected. It even shows how many charges I have left for Power Manipulation! And what is this [Mana Eyes]-thingy? Guess I'm gonna need to create the standart Isekai ability! And with that, I choose you, Appraisal-san!'

'Well... I eventually planned on making something like this, but... now I don't need to waste any charges on it. So I guess that's good? Either way, good to have these abilities, they just make things way clearer and easier to understand. Next, guess I'll try my Archmage abilities. First, the Archgenerator.'

With those thoughts he searched his body and mind, until he found an anomaly, of which he instinctively knew it was the Archgenerator. Once he managed to locate it, he then tried to move the mana according to some of the memories he gained from the original Merlin, slowly but steadily creating a little flow of mana, reaching towards his Archgenerator. The instant it reached there, it was sucked into the generator, who the began producining a constant stream of mana, accumulating in a bubble, surrounding it and steadily growing. Merlin immediately knew, that this bubble was his mana resevoir and felt an innate connection to it. Once he formed that connection he tried a simple illusion spell from his predecessors memory, creating a single cherry blossom leaf.

'Hah! I knew it would work, but still, this is pretty amazing! Guess I will try to mold mana into different forms and shapes. This should allow me to drastically increase my control over it, boosting the Archmages effects even more! With that it should then be easier to learn and use more new spells and energies! Just you all wait, I'm gonna prank you good! Hehehehe...'

The next few hours, Merlin spent his time manipulating the mana from his resevoir to form different shapes, from simple to complicated, with less and less time and amounts of mana. When he stopped it was around noon and surrounding him there were at least fifty different mana constructs, ranging from objects to animals and flowers. He even managed to give the constructs different colours, by influencing the mana slightly.

'That went... easier and faster than I thought it would. Well, time to try the rest of my abilities, do a last check-up un my status, and then go around the world and different realms to 'borrow' some books and such about magic and tech stuff! Then I'll train in those spells for about one or two years, after which I'll begin training my body. After all, I don't really want to be one of those mages who can do nothing in close quarters! And after about... five years training I'll go traveling, making connections and such. And, of course, prank some people! Can't forget the most important part after all!

Now, let's take a look at those sweet, sweet abilities!'
