Unknown Man 2

In the dark stood a Man standing all tall and mighty while observing the confused and worried girl running around the corridor in pure confusion. He watched her in full amusement as she turned and touched everything she could so she could discover where the unknown man went off too. The more she tried the more confused and frustrated she got. After few more minutes of failed attempts, she finally gave up and fall on the cold floor of the dark corridor with tears falling from her eyes like a never ending river fall.

She didn't get why she was crying. She felt so stupid for crying for no good cause but still she could not stop the tears flowing down her cheeks. Her brother was a very touching topic to her. Having heard the unknown man mention him brought back memories she wanted so much to forget. Why was the universe doing this to her? Where was Zach? Did he not miss her as much as she missed him? Did he ever think of her? Lots of questions were in her head and the fact that she couldn't get the answers to them frustrated her so much. She wanted to scream and shout away all the frustration she was feeling. She didn't like this feeling one bit. "Where are you Zach? Come back to me please" she sobbed out those words as she kept crying on the floor with her beautiful dress all over the place.

Watching her cry that way just didn't sit well with him. More than anything, he wanted to reach out and hold her. He so wanted to comfort her and he didn't know why. He has always hated tears. All the people he had murdered and tortured in the past that cried gave him more reasons to finish them off. So why was this little dove's tears such a trouble to him? He just couldn't get it. What Theo did by making his new found pet cry was not right at all. And if Theo was not his best friend, he would have his head cut off and presented it to his little dove by now.

"Mia" he called out from the darkness surrounding him. Mia stopped sobbing as she heard her name been called. She was not sure if she heard it right, but she knew that she needed to stay put. Now that she thought about it, she was in a dark corridor foots away from the ballroom. Anything can happen to her and no one would know. "Dearest God, is this how I'll die" she couldn't help but wonder. If this was how she would die she would make sure she gave out a good fight before her end comes.

"Mia...." The voice called out again and this time around, Mia heard it loud and clear. "Who's there?" She asked trying her best now to sound as scared as she really is.

"Princess don't cry. Have you not heard that?" The man in the dark asked while watching her with pure amusement. He looked like he was going to burst out laughing anytime soon.

"If this is a game it is not funny!!" She said in pure rage. Who the psycho butt was messing with her? If she did get to find out, she will definitely kick their butt before they get to do anything.

"But it really is, little dove". He said obviously enjoying himself.

" don't call me that!!" She said annoyed. This is not funny at all. She didn't want to play games with this stranger for all she knows, he might be a danger to her. She stood up from the cold floor to run back into the ballroom but the stranger's voice stopped her.

"I won't go back there if I were you, you look like a mess. Princesses shouldn't look that way, especially on her birthday celebration.

" who the knuckle head are you?" Mia asked again getting annoyed my the second. "If you do not show your self you will be sorry, trust me" she said sounding as cold and dead serious as ever. This only earned a mocking life from the unknown man.

"Woo!! You're a little spitfire I see". He said with amusement and wonder in his voice. " No need to rush the introduction my little dove, we'll get there with time".

"You're psycho. Come out and stop being a coward". Mia shouted. She could not handle this psychopath anymore.

" As you wish " he said with a smile on his face. Suddenly, mia heard footsteps coming from the other side of the vicinity. She looked and waited in anticipation. She wanted to know who this psycho was. Just when he was about to appear in the direction the light was visible, mia heard her name.

"Mia?" Leo's voiced called out to her, not quit sure if it was her or not. When she heard her name, she turned towards the direction of the voice only to see Leo and Ava's worried face starring right back at her.

" Oh my gosh!! we've been looking for you. Why did you run off like that? We were worried. What are you doing here all alone?". Ava's worried voice asked her.

"I'm not alone. There's someone there". She pointed towards the direction the man in the dark was coming from. When she looked, she didn't see him or his shadow anymore.

" what are you saying? " Ava asked her confused.

"Right there, there was some one there and he called out my name." She said trying to explain.

"Step back" Leo said as he brought out his gun that was hidden inside his suit jacket and stepped closer to the dark corridor Mia pointed. He looked around some more but couldn't find anyone or anything. "Coast is clear" he told the ladies as he put back his gun inside his jacket.

"What the fuck!! Someone was right there" Mia's confused voice sounded.

"It's OK mia. You're safe now." Ava reassured her. "Look at you, you look like a mess. Come, I booked one of the suits for us. Come let me dress you properly" Ava offered.

"Okay" Mia said as she went out of the corridor and into the ground steps up to their suites as Leo went back to the ballroom.
