The lights of the motel room flickered above him as he stared at it. He sighed, massaging his private area due to the little pleasure it had gotten. The least the girl could do was to make him feel good. Yet, he quite did it all for her.

There was one thing he had learned about women that night. The first thing was that they were all mesmerized by him and they were hogging around him which was super embarrassing for them yet they didn't seem to care.

The second was that they were persuasive. Like this liar he just slept with, she claimed that she would give him the best time of his life.

Why the fuck did he believe her?

He gave her the best time of her life. She wouldn't shut up and her moans weren't even attractive. He had fucked and sucked her at the same time but he got teeny-tiny pleasure.

He turned to her and noticed that her eyes were still shut. The funny thing, was that he never said a word during the sex but she had called him cute, handsome, and even a "beautiful damned motorcycle."

What had sex turned into?

He was being called "things" now. Suddenly, a shrill sound filled the darkroom and he turned around suddenly before realizing that it was a-

What is that?

He looked at the device in thought. Deciding not to touch it, he poked her hard. She didn't move.

Poke.

Nothing.

Poke.

Was she?

Wow, she had the guts to say faster.

He left the ringing device and turned to his side ignoring its sounds. He had to get out of here. I mean, sleeping beside a corpse was not the way he wanted to spend his second night.

This is the best way to die. With your beautiful face above me. D-Deeper baby. You fuck so good. M-yeah...

He shook his head in humor as he remembered her words. She had wanted to die for sex. These humans...

He sighed deciding that he needed a place to stay, at least. He hummed to himself as he got up, allowing the decision of leaving this place to come to a reality. Wearing his clothes that formally belonged to a dead bike rider, he put on his leather jacket and headed for the door.

"Thank you." He said to her speaking for the first time that night. Mama always thought him to be polite. No matter how many times he awakened, he would still remember her lessons.

The wind blew my hair across my face as I walked toward the shimmering waters in front of me. The morning sun shone down on it making it look more mesmerizing. It looked so beautiful. My eyes closed shortly to receive the breeze that calmed my senses.

I opened them and my breath hitched when I saw a man sitting on the sand near the lake. He was shirtless and wearing sweatpants. He wasn't there before. Was this the same person from my dreams?

"Hello?" I called out and he tilted his head to the side a little. "Who are you?"

His shoulders shook a little but I didn't hear any sounds. "I don't know." I came closer. "Stop."

I froze.

"I told you, you're mine. But you're still with him." He growled huskily making shivers run through my spine.

He was the Tribrid. "You're him, aren't you? What do you want from me?" I asked sternly, angry about the lives he took.

"Isn't this place beautiful? Serene?" He asked ignoring my question. "Come here when you wake up. It's pretty."

His voice was void of emotion. He didn't sound happy at all just calm and tired.

Wait, wake up?

My eyes opened immediately and I sighed staring at the ceiling. These days, for some reason, I didn't want to stay around Chris. All I could understand was that he wanted my husband to die and I had to stop that.

The question on my mind all week came up again. But I shook my head. He could not be my mate cause he was mateless. He was cursed to be mateless. So why did he want me? Where was my mate?

My mind drifted back to his words when he told me to come to the lake. If I did, would he be there? I didn't even know what he looked like but Avery did.

Avery.

I picked up my cell and searched for her number that I had saved days ago. He could be there at the pack right now and I needed to see him, to stop him.

We had some kind of connection, I didn't know why he had chosen me but I had to find out and Avery could be a good cover. That lake could be the lake she was talking about.

I dialed her and she picked at the first ring. "OMG you called." She screamed into the phone and I smiled excitedly.

"I was thinking, how about I come to stay with you for two days?" I asked and she sucked in her breath on the other side.

"Yeah, sure! It would be epic. Maybe we could investigate together. I've been checking on the lake, I can't risk him knowing there's a pack." She rushed out and I nodded already excited about the case.

"Well, has he come?" My question floated till she answered.

"No actually, I can't go at night. So maybe he does come then. Or maybe he found another better lake? Although I doubt cause this one's the prettiest." I nodded at her words and kept quiet.

"I'm coming tomorrow. Ask your dad?" I questioned and she laughed.

"He is okay with me having friends. He is just not okay with me going to see them. So yeah, I'm waiting! Can't wait actually." She answered and I laughed immediately relating to her words.

My father was a bigger case then. "Okay bye!" I said and she replied with her greeting and I put off the call.

I'm coming for you, Tribrid.

"Hey, babe!" Chris said sticking his head in. "This is the fourth time that you didn't sleep in my room."

I shrugged and he hugged me on the bed. My heart skipped as soon as he did that which was weird. "Hey, it's good you came here." My hands shifted to his hair and he leaned into my touch.

"You've been pushing me away." He whined and I rolled my eyes at his childishness.

"I have to go spend time with my friend," I answered and he jolted up with an unfriendly look on his face.

"What friend? When did you start making friends apart from Justin?" He asked with an unfamiliar tone.

"I've known Avery since well-" I stopped there realizing that I could not finish my lie. He sighed and laid back on the bed. "And I want to spend time with her."

"Who's Avery?" He asked with his eyes shut and my mouth dropped open in shock. I hit his arm which he winced at immediately.

"You don't know your friend's daughter? Alpha Adrien?" He shook his head at my question and I sighed.

"He has a daughter?" He asked confused and I sighed at that again. Avery was going through the same thing.

"I'm going to see her anyway." I pushed and he shook his head. "Why the fuck not?"

"Cause, there is a monster out there and he was found at their pack borders days ago. It's not safe for you." He replied with a stubborn tone.

Ah, dear husband. Only if you knew I was going to talk to him.

"I can take care of myself and also the Moon Dust is strong. I'm going whether you like it or not." My tone was laced with more stubbornness than his and he sighed in defeat.

Yay!

"Thanks, hunny," I said kissing him on the cheek but he still looked bummed. "But you would be busy and won't have any time for me. I'll be back in two days."

"Ok the-" His words were cut short as his eyes glazed over in thought. Probably conversing through a mind link. I sighed sadly within me. Due to my wolf's late timing, I did not possess any advanced wolf abilities.

His eyes became normal and I gave him a bored look. "Work?" I asked and he nodded strangely. "What is it? Have you found him?" I questioned again and he shook his head.

"I just need to go. I won't be back in a day. I have serious things to do." He replied and I looked at him puzzled.

"Okay." I dragged, "I'll be here packing my things to leave." Standing up, I expected a kiss or something but the next thing I heard was the door slam.

That was weird.
