Val approached the entrance of the cave where the legendary dragon Shou-Lao resided. Taking a moment to steady his breath and steel his resolve, he ventured into the depths of the cavern.

As he crossed the threshold, a profound darkness enveloped Val, shrouding his surroundings in an eerie gloom. Undeterred, he tapped into his Chi, using its energy to extend his senses and explore the ancient chamber.

A palpable aura, ancient and powerful, permeated the air, resonating with the essence of the dragon. Val could sense the unmistakable presence of Shou-Lao's Chi, a force that carried the weight of countless ages.

Guided by the powerful emanations of Shou-Lao's Chi, Val followed the path that led him to the very heart of the dragon's lair. With every step, his anticipation grew, his body pulsating with the gathering energy of his own Chi.

Val focused his Chi, allowing it to surge through his veins and illuminate his clenched fists with a radiant purple glow. Prepared for the imminent clash, he steeled his resolve, ready to face the formidable challenge that awaited him.

However, as Val stepped into the lair, a startling sight greeted him. Shou-Lao, the legendary dragon, lay nestled in a corner, its eyes closed as if in a state of slumber. The great beast's presence exuded weariness and vulnerability.

In that moment, Shou-Lao's eyes fluttered open, its gaze falling upon Val. With a voice strained and labored, the dragon spoke, its words carrying both reverence and recognition. "S-So, y-you have finally a-arrived, O'The Destiny Weaver!!" Shou-Lao's voice trembled.

Intrigued and slightly perplexed by Shou-Lao's words, Val took measured steps forward, closing the distance between himself and the ancient dragon.

"What did you call me?" Val inquired.

Shou-Lao's aged eyes met Val's gaze, filled with a glimmer of recognition and purpose. "The Destiny Weaver," the dragon replied, his voice carrying a weighty resonance that resonated within the confines of the lair.

"We have never met before," Val said, "Why do you look at me with familiarity? And furthermore, my name is Val, not the title that you just mentioned."

A quiet chuckle escaped Shou-Lao's lips, its timbre resonating within the chamber. "Val, Valeria, or any other name you choose to bear," the dragon acknowledged, its eyes gleaming with ancient wisdom. "Titles have been bestowed upon you, whispered in the shadows by those who perceive the tapestry of destiny in which you are woven. The Destiny Weaver, The Alchemist of Fate... They are but fragments of the truth, glimpses into the intricacies of your path."

Val drew closer to Shou-Lao and used his Chi to delicately probe the dragon's essence. His perceptive gaze fell upon the peculiar sight of a dark, swirling Chi intertwined with Shou-Lao's original golden energy.

Val asked, his voice concerned, "What happened to you, Shou-Lao? Why does this dark Chi mingle with your true essence?"

"A thousand years ago," began Shou-Lao, "I was a mortal who fell in love with a dragon's sister. When the dragon discovered our relationship, he transformed me into an Undying One, an immortal dragon. That dragon is the Dragon King's brother, Chiantang."

Val's expression darkened at the mention of Chiantang, prompting Shou-Lao to continue. "During the early stages of my transformation, Chiantang would frequently torture me, relishing in my suffering. But during these visits, he often spoke of a figure known as The Destiny Weaver or The Alchemist of Fate, described in ancient dragon texts as his eventual slayer. Chiantang couldn't accept that he would be killed by a mere mortal, so he made preparations for when this person emerged."

Shou-Lao continued, "However, when Chiantang accidentally used his fate and destiny calculation spell, he saw a connection between you and me. This revelation enraged him, as he had been venting his anger on me without realizing that I was your ally. But using his cunning, he latched his Chi onto mine as a trap. When you take my Chi, his Chi will enter your body, allowing him to control your mind and body."

Val absorbed the weight of Shou-Lao's proposition, contemplating the potential paths before him. "So, in order to gain your Chi, I must first vanquish Chiantang," he mused aloud.

Shou-Lao nodded solemnly. "Indeed, only by ending his life can his Chi within me be eradicated."

Val's brow furrowed, considering the formidable challenge that lay ahead. "Killing Chiantang won't be an easy feat," he acknowledged.

With a sense of regret, Shou-Lao replied, "I apologize for the difficulty, but there is another offer I can extend to you. Throughout the years, while carrying Chiantang's Chi within me, I have unearthed some of his closely guarded secrets. His Chi will only bind to you, leaving others free from its grasp. While I cannot bestow my Chi upon you, I can pass it down to your descendant. Additionally, as a token of our shared desire to end Chiantang, I will grant you a single wish of your choosing."

A smile crept across Val's face as the weight of decision lifted. He saw the value in Shou-Lao's alternative offer, the potential for a legacy beyond his own lifetime. "It is a tempting proposal, one I accept," Val declared resolutely.

Years later after Val made his pact with Shou-Lao, within the depths of the dragon's cave, a powerful surge of energy reverberated. Shou-Lao's voice thundered through the cavern, filled with fury and defiance.

"I REFUSE THIS ABSURD WISH!" Shou-Lao bellowed, his immense form towering above, flames billowing from his nostrils and mouth.

Val's daughter, standing resolute before Shou-Lao, maintained her smirk, clearly relishing the dragon's discomfort. She spoke with an air of confidence, her voice dripping with mischief.

"Didn't you grant my father a wish, whatever it may be?" she taunted, her emphasis on the word "whatever" hanging in the air.

Shou-Lao, taken aback by the audacity of the request, shook its massive head in disbelief. "B-But, I didn't expect such a ridiculous wish," the dragon stammered, struggling to comprehend the implications. "I thought the wish would be something else, but not this."

Undeterred, Val's daughter crossed her arms, her smirk widening. "I don't understand why you're so agitated about it," she retorted, her voice laced with amusement. "My wish was simply to obtain you."

Danny Rand, dressed in his Iron Fist costume, stood beside Val's daughter, observing the interaction between her and Shou-Lao. He couldn't help but feel a sense of sympathy for the mighty dragon, recognizing the weight of her demands.

"Babe," he interjected gently, his voice filled with concern, "don't you think you might be asking for too much?"

She turned to Iron Fist, rolling her eyes at his comment, and retorted, "Too much? How is it too much to ask this giant red salamander to become a part of my Chi? I'm not asking him to sacrifice himself. He would simply reside within my Cosmic Conduit, merging his essence with mine. And, he'll have the freedom to emerge whenever he desires."

With a mischievous gleam in her eyes, she turned to Shou-Lao and took a deliberate step toward it, who instinctively recoiled in fear. Her grin widened as she addressed the dragon directly, her tone playful yet commanding.

"Come here, you salamander!" she declared, "Become a resident of my Cosmic Conduit!"

Shou-Lao, cornered and overwhelmed by the persistence and power of Val's daughter, reluctantly acquiesced, realizing that resistance was futile. The dragon cautiously approached, hesitantly merging its essence with her potent Chi, knowing that its fate was now forever intertwined with hers.
