Chapter 66 New Projects

"Huh a hangout with me and Gwen, isn't that just a date?" I asked myself as I looked at her message. However, at the same time, she kept making many excuses. Explaining that we were only two friends going out but still no matter how I look at this it's basically a date.

"I agree Kol, I've done a full personality scan of Gwen and have taken note of her reactions to certain things and this has proven to be out of the norm for her." Cortana explained before pointing out some other things. Especially this past week when I've noticed her demeanor around me drastically changing.

I had a suspicion that she might have started growing feelings but a lot has gone on recently with her so it could have been those things as well. However, this message along with Cortana's diagnosis confirms it.

"What do you plan to do Kol," Cortana asked with a slight bit of excitement. She had seen relationships through the internet but this would be her first time seeing one happen in person. Which was exciting for the AI as she felt like she had her own personal Kdrama.

"For now I'll take it slow at least until Gwen's ready but besides that I think it's time we get back to business. Give me an update on our projects"

"Of course. So far the base has been thoroughly upgraded in all matters of defense and your personal scouts are far more upgraded than the ones used by the police. Besides that, we have been successful in striking deals with some manufacturers who can make some of the parts needed for the scouts. With that, we should see an increase in production allowing the scouts to be placed all over New York instead of just select areas." Cortana said while also showing me all the paperwork and graphs in great detail.

"Besides that we've also recently received a package from your friend Tony Stark. I already had the scouts check it beforehand and it seems to be a fully functioning arc reactor"

An arc reactor? This guy… I didn't think he'd ever give that tech to someone. Especially me, surely he knows that it won't take me long to figure out how it works.

Unless that's what he wants. Haha funny guy I guess this is his way of saying thanks and challenging me. Well, Tony challenge accepted.

Pulling out my system I felt like it had been forever since I purchased anything and now seemed like a good time.

Interesting, obviously I'm going to purchase the Miniaturized reactor. Just that knowledge alone could probably help in improving Tony's original design. I should also get a large one for the lab and in the long run, it'll be really useful especially when I start going to space

Checking them out I compared their worlds and the state of technology they had before deciding to purchase two.

The one from Halo since I already was going to get the Miniaturized and then finally the one from Moonfall. The technology of the world seemed to be a step higher than all the others and I had a feeling that they had better insight into energy.

With my purchase confirmed I experienced the familiar feeling of having knowledge inserted into my mind except this time there was hardly any pain. Instead I kind of felt high like I was at the top of the world but this went away once it finished coming through.

"Incredible… I already have so many ideas and plans that I want to try. Cortana later I'm going to send you details for a fusion reactor. I want you to make it a priority"

Cortana looked a bit flustered but accepted my order nonetheless. She was about to leave and start purchasing the required materials when she remembered one more thing.

"Ah, Kol you also have a message from a Thaddeus Ross requesting for a meeting. I checked his information and it came out that he's from the military."

Ross Huh he's not exactly my favorite character. He's a selfish jerk who thinks he's helping his country but is really just trying to grow his own power. He's a lot like Danzo from Naruto, constantly saying everything he does is for the hidden leaf.

Still, the guy is a general so it wouldn't be smart to just straight out reject the guy. In fact, I can use him to attract more of his buddies. Especially if I present some new technology at the stark expo specifically made for the military.

"Cortana I want you to add three more projects to the list: Power Armor, Sentry's, and Marine Armor."

"On it!" With that, she retreated back to the screen and disappeared to finish her tasks leaving me behind in my workspace.

Checking the clock I saw that I had plenty of time till anything else of importance came up. Leaving me with some free time.

"Hmm what to do, Ned has been asking for a robot girl…" I really hope he was serious and just wanted to practice talking with girls.

ignoring those thoughts I gave him the benefit of the doubt and began pulling out some more tools. If I was going to make this guy a robot girl then I'd make the one with the best personality.
