Kill point

"System? I don't know what to call you... what does the Kill Point mean?"

"Kill point!"

"The more you kill the more points you shall receive."

"The stronger your opponents the higher the point."

"The more destined your opponent the higher the points!"

"After fulfilling each criterion, you can earn one of Sukuna's fingers!"

"And you can always spend your points on more cursed techniques, weapons, knowledge, and much more."

"Is that why you waited till my brother died? Being worthy and all that shit?" Kai asked as he questioned the one bothersome thing that was bugging him the most, "The point system, especially makes it seem like you knew how I would feel."

"..."

"I follow a fated path. This was the destiny that you were given and I knew the path you would follow up until today."

"But the moment I accepted you, neither destiny nor fate can decipher or control your existence."

"Your path shall be yours and yours alone whether you grow strong enough to annihilate all of existence in your quest or decide to just live a normal life. Your fate is now in your hands."

"I could've intervened earlier, but the function of cursed energy being inherently different from the natural laws of this world would have rendered me useless regardless. I had to make some fundamental changes to your power for it to adapt to this world's natural laws which took longer than I had expected it to."

"Destiny, huh? Even as a reincarnated being, I am- No, I was bound by it." Kai shook his head, the concept of a system he had heard from novels and fics all bounded to benefit their master, so currently he had no choice but to accept the system's answer as the truth for now.

"So is all my ability related to the Jujutsu? And does it mean, I am not only limited to certain cursed techniques?"

"Yes! But broaden your horizons as there's more to it than you could ever realize!"

"You say that but I barely know the gist of it." Kai said as he walked around the apartment, "I do feel stronger, and I can guess that the energy I feel within me and the surroundings is the so-called Cursed energy. But I don't know Jack about how to use it."

"You're correct! The concept of jujutsu as a whole is something you yourself will discover along the way but the basics of it are already imprinted upon you."

The monotonous voice continued, "As for cursed energy in itself, it has always existed in every plane and every universe. But no one else except you has been able to use it so far."

"It's an untapped energy source that belongs to you and you only. Hence, once your understanding develops and the more fingers you consume, you'll be able to tap into all the energy of this realm to its entirety."

"Sounds complicated..." Kai shook his head, feeling the weight of his new reality settle in, "What about cursed spirits or something like that, with all the existing curse energy they should be around right? And I forgot to mention, am I possessed by Sukuna or am I Sukuna?"

"Negative."

"Unless you create them yourself, these spirits can't muster enough into a single cluster to form what is required for a cursed spirit to be born."

"But of course, you'd need to spend your points or increase your understanding of jujutsu for you to create them."

"And you're not Sukuna and neither is Sukuna possessing you. You're just you but with the power of Sukuna and the potential to be greater than him."

"I see..." Kai pondered over this new information. The implications were vast. The ability to create cursed spirits could provide him with powerful allies, but he needed to master the basics first, "Final question, what does consuming a single finger entail, how powerful am I?"

"With just one finger, your cursed energy is equal to that of a Special Grade, which won't mean much in this world, so I would suggest you learn about the limits of your cursed energy yourself."

"You have access to two inherent techniques Cleave and Dismantle, but their uses and controlling their cursed energy output is something you'd have to learn yourself."

"There are further uses of cursed energy without inherent technique but further knowledge and control are needed. Over time, you'll learn to imbue your physical attacks with cursed energy, create barriers, and even manipulate your surroundings with just a finger, not to mention the use of Reverse Cursed Techniques!"

"Wait! Without Reverse Cursed Techniques, how did I manage to heal my leg earlier?"

"The consumption of the finger caused your healing, every time you consume one of the fingers even without Reverse Cursed Techniques you will heal."

"Well, that's that..." Kai stared at his reflection looking at the extra set of eyes and the tattoo-like marks all over his body, "With the negativity surrounding mutants, walking around this would be a pain in my ass."

Just as he finished speaking, the extra set of eyes closed leaving a slight mark and the tattoo faded away. Knowing it was the system helping me out, he didn't bother questioning it further. He had more pressing matters at hand.

"Let's see, I can already feel cursed energy in my body so I should focus on controlling it." Kai walked around, "The basis of controlling cursed energy centers around controlling emotions and controlling the flow of cursed energy, so I should begin with that."

Kai closed his eyes and took a deep breath, focusing on the energy flowing within him. He felt the cursed energy pulsating through his veins, a dark and powerful force waiting to be harnessed. Controlling his emotions was key, he knew that much. Anger, fear, and sorrow were potent fuels for cursed energy, but they could also lead to uncontrollable outbursts if not properly managed.

He began with simple exercises, trying to regulate his breathing and calm his mind. Memories of his brother flashed before him, but instead of succumbing to the grief, he channeled it into determination. He visualized the energy within him, seeing it as a dark, flowing river that he needed to direct and control.

As minutes turned into hours, Kai started to feel a subtle shift. The energy, once wild and erratic, began to flow more smoothly, responding to his will. He opened his eyes and extended his hand, willing the energy to manifest. A faint, dark aura enveloped his fingers, flickering like black flames.

"Alright, let's see if I can do this," he muttered, focusing on a nearby chair. He visualized the technique Sukuna had used—Dismantle. The idea was to slice through anything in his path with pure cursed energy.

Cleave differentiated from Dismantle in that, Dismantle has a fixed power and range making it perfect for inanimate objects, but Cleave's destructive power could be changed at will depending on the strength and durability of the opponent making it perfect to be used on humans and anyone with power for that matter.

Hence, making Cleave harder to use as it required more control and proper understanding of his cursed technique but dismantle on the other hand, he had instinctively used it shorty after his awakening, so it could be used as his primary move from now until he gets comfortable with using Cleave.

Kai extended his hand toward the chair, focusing on the cursed energy flowing through him. He channeled his emotions—grief for his brother, anger at the injustice, and determination to control his newfound powers—into a single point of focus. The dark aura around his fingers intensified, flickering with malevolent energy.

"Dismantle," he whispered with a swipe from his finger.

A burst of cursed energy shot from his hand, striking the chair. The wooden legs were severed cleanly, the upper part collapsing to the floor with a satisfying thud. The precision of the cut was remarkable, a testament to the power of his technique.

Kai's eyes widened with satisfaction. He was getting the hang of it. But he knew this was only the beginning. He needed to push his limits, to see just how far his abilities could go.
