Chapter 9

Gojo looked around as four boys approached them. One of them looked more like a mountain than a boy, another had white hair, a short gangly one, and the fourth had black hair.

"So you're the pretty boy," the white-haired one said, looking him over. It had irked Pietro rotten when he heard there was someone in the school with white hair and shades pulling all the girls and beating up the bullies, although the last part might have been exaggerated. Pietro snapped his fingers and said, "You know all that wouldn't help you in real life where the big players are, pretty boy. Anything can happen in the blink of an eye."

'Who does this guy think he is?' Gojo thought, amused by Pietro's bravado. "Oh, I don't know about that, hotshot. I can blink pretty fast," Gojo replied with a smile on his face.

Pietro narrowed his eyes and recalled what he had heard people say about where this guy was from and what had happened to him recently. "Is that so...orphan boy," he said as an insult. Pietro looked Gojo up and down again. "You know, you really don't look all that special to me. But then again, I always knew everyone was exaggerating. It isn't even worth my effort challenging you to a race because even if I did, you'd probably decline, knowing the humiliating defeat you would face," Pietro boasted with sheer arrogance, trying to scare Gojo.

By now, Bobby had walked over next to Gojo to show a united front. "Why don't you guys just go," Jubilee told them.

"Stay out of this, firecracker," the black-haired one warned her.

'Firecracker? Really? These guys are stuck in a comic book,' Gojo thought, barely containing a chuckle.

"Yeah," the boy-mountain said. "I don't like seeing his pretty face, and I bet it's just as fragile as he looks, weak and not that strong." He cracked his knuckles. "And I want to see how strong." Gojo stared at them in amusement.

'Seriously? Do they not know who they're dealing with?' Gojo already knew that this was the Brotherhood, and he couldn't believe he was about to either end up in a race or get in a fight. 'Are they daft? Why are they trying to reveal themselves here in school?' "What is that smell?" he just had to ask as the most awful smell possible assaulted him.

Bobby pointed at the short, gangly kid. "That would be Toad. And seriously, dude, take a bath sometime."

"Hey," Toad protested. "It's a condition, yo."

'A condition? More like a health hazard,' Gojo thought, suppressing a smirk.

"Yeah," Fred said in agreement with his friend.

"Maybe it's time the Brotherhood taught you some respect, ice-cube," Pietro said threateningly.

Before the situation could escalate further, Principal Raven Darkholme interrupted them. "What's going on here?" she demanded, narrowing her eyes at the Brotherhood team.

Pietro and his group looked away, avoiding her gaze. "Nothing, Principal Darkholme," Pietro muttered.

'So that's Mystique, she must have some serious control over these guys just like in the comics,' Gojo mused, noting the sudden shift in their demeanor.

"Good," she replied, glancing at the members of the X-Men for a moment. "I suggest you all get going. Now."

The members of the Brotherhood began to leave, grumbling among themselves. Pietro shot Gojo one last look of disdain before turning away.

'What a charming group,' Gojo thought sarcastically. He couldn't help but feel that this encounter was just the beginning of something bigger.

Jubilee sighed in relief. "Thanks, Ms. Darkholme," she said to the principal.

"Just doing my job," Raven replied, though her eyes lingered on Gojo for a moment longer than necessary. "All of you, get going."

As the X-Men dispersed, Bobby turned to Gojo. "You handled that pretty well."

Gojo shrugged. "It wasn't anything special. Just another day at Bayville High, I guess."

"Yeah, but those guys are trouble," Kitty added. "Be careful around them."

'Trouble, huh? They don't know the half of it,' Gojo thought, feeling a twinge of excitement at the prospect of future confrontations. "Noted," Gojo replied with a grin his eyes shining behind his shades.

The Brotherhood seemed determined to pick a fight, and he wondered what their real agenda was. Still, he felt confident that he could handle whatever came his way. 'After all, I'm Satoru Gojo.'

As Gojo walked out of the school, he couldn't shake the feeling that something big was coming. 'Better be ready for anything,' he thought, heading towards his bike.

'Today was interesting,' Gojo mused as he put on his helmet and started the engine. 'But tomorrow's another day. Let's see what it brings.'

Gojo was riding his bike home from school when he suddenly heard an explosion in the distance. He immediately extended his telepathy to feel around the minds of everyone nearby, seeking the source of the commotion. Activating his power, he extended his mental awareness and, using his enhanced vision, peered through the chaos to where the explosion had occurred. A police car had exploded, evidently the result of a bank robbery. A missile had been fired, and several police officers were already down, struggling to maintain control.

'Well, it ain't Marvel without a bank robbery,' Gojo thought wryly, a hint of amusement in his eyes.

He moved his bike to a secluded spot, ensuring no one saw him, and teleported to the scene of the robbery, appearing in an empty room within the bank. The situation outside was chaotic: police cars were parked haphazardly with officers taking cover, civilians were screaming and running, and the air was thick with tension and fear.

Gojo observed his surroundings, confirming there were four robbers. Without hesitation, he teleported to the middle of the bank lobby, where everyone could see him. The sudden appearance of a white-haired kid in shades shocked everyone, halting the frantic atmosphere for a moment.

"Yo," Gojo said with a grin, raising his right hand in a casual greeting.

The robbers, recovering from their shock, immediately began to fire at him. For several moments, bullets whizzed through the air, but they all stopped mid-flight, suspended around Gojo as if held by an invisible barrier. Then, the bullets clattered to the ground with a metallic clink.

"Oh, are you guys done wasting bullets now?" Gojo asked, his hands now in his pockets.

The leader of the robbers, a burly man with a scar across his cheek, snarled, "Who the fuck are you? Are you one of those freaks?"

Gojo chuckled softly. "Well, that's one way to put it." He suddenly disappeared and reappeared next to one of the robbers, flicking his forehead. The man was flung through the lobby and out of the window, crashing onto the pavement outside.

The remaining three robbers were stunned, their confidence visibly shaken. "Fucking hell, boss, he's a mutant!" one of them exclaimed, pointing his gun at Gojo. Before he could pull the trigger, he felt an overwhelming weight pressing down on him. Looking up, he saw Gojo's face very close to his own, blue eyes glinting behind his shades.

"Aww, that's not a nice thing to say," Gojo murmured before using telepathy to render the man unconscious, his body crumpling to the floor.

Turning his attention to the last two robbers, Gojo saw the leader taking a hostage, a middle-aged woman who looked terrified. 'Great, a hostage situation,' he thought, assessing the risk. He noticed the other robber aiming a rocket launcher at him.

"Die, motherfucker!" the man screamed, firing the rocket. The explosion shattered the windows, sending shards of glass flying and causing the cops outside to wonder what was happening. The SWAT team was called in, the captain barking orders through his radio.

"Move, move, move! We need to breach now!" the captain of the cops ordered. "Get the SWAT team in position. We need to control this situation!"

Back inside, the leader of the robbers asked, "Is he dead?"

The man with the rocket launcher started laughing. "Of course, boss. He's bits and pieces."

As the smoke cleared, Gojo stood there with an annoyed look on his face. "Who are you calling dead?" he asked, his voice dripping with sarcasm. 'Tch, my TK shield saved me although I would have liked to see how my natural durability would hold against a rocket. At least now I know for sure it's working properly and can respond to unexpected threats.'

With a flick of his hand, the guy with the rocket launcher was flung back into a pillar, falling unconscious. The leader, now the last robber standing, started to panic. "Don't come any closer, you freak! I'll shoot her!" he shouted, pressing the barrel of his gun against the hostage's head.

'Cleave.'

Almost instantly, blood sprayed into the air as the hand holding the gun landed with a dull thud on the ground, "AHHHHHHH, my fucking hand," the robber screamed in agony at his severed wrist.

Gojo sighed. "Mendokusai," he muttered. In the blink of an eye, he appeared behind the robber, giving him a sharp chop to the back of the head and rendering him unconscious. The hostage gasped in relief, tears streaming down her face.

"Is everyone okay?" Gojo asked, looking around to see if anyone was hurt.

Most of the people nodded, some expressing their thanks, while others looked at him with a mix of awe and distrust. Shaking his head at their reaction, he sensed the SWAT team about to breach. He quickly sent out a telepathic wave, erasing himself from their memories. It was a subtle suggestion, ensuring no one would recall his presence.

Satisfied, Gojo teleported back to his bike, ready to continue his ride home. 'Just another day in the Marvel Universe,' he thought, a small smile playing on his lips.

As he rode through the city, he couldn't help but think about the frequent chaos that seemed to define this world. 'Bank robberies, supervillain attacks, mutants... This place is a constant mess.' He weaved through traffic, passing by construction zones where workers were repairing the damage from the latest superhero clash. 'It's no wonder most cities have protocols for this kind of stuff now.'

His thoughts drifted to New York, where the Avengers and Spider-Man were based. 'Definitely gonna take a trip there,' he mused. 'It would be interesting to see how things are on the frontlines of superhero activity.'

By the time Gojo arrived home, the sun was beginning to set, casting long shadows across the street. He parked his bike and headed inside, contemplating the events of the day. Despite the excitement and danger, there was something exhilarating about being part of this world, where anything could happen in the blink of an eye.

'Guess I'm in for quite the adventure,' he thought with a smirk, already looking forward to whatever challenges tomorrow would bring.
