Chapter 5

Entering the Legacy Cave, Shao Jingyi immediately felt the difference between this small universe realm and the outside. The surrounding qi was much more abundant and richer. This made Shao Jingyi want to immediately start cultivating. He knew that his gains would be enormous but he held it in. He knew that if he ventured more in the Legacy Cave, he would find an even richer and more abundant place to cultivate.

After studying his surroundings, he chose a certain direction and headed towards that way. There was nothing special about this direction. Shao Jingyi was just choosing a random place to start. After a day of traveling and fighting monster beasts he had some gains. He found some herbs of various grades and resources of multiple ranks. He hadn't found any secret art or cultivations yet though. He was really itching to find some secret techniques to learn. That was something he lacked the most right now.

After traveling for a day he met a group of cultivators. Having nothing to do for the time being he decided to tag along with them, acting like he was part of Sanguine Society. Working with the group, they killed monster beasts and collected anything they found. Everything was divided up but there were some arguments. Shao Jingyi couldn't care less though. He hid his strength and continued to act. On one occasion there was a relatively strong monster beast of the sixth order. After defeating the sixth order monster beast the cultivators in his group didn't look down upon him anymore. He had done most if not all of the fighting and had tanked most of the damage, if not for Shao Jingyi, they would have been dead already. The monster beast had a monster core which seemed different. Thinking back to the original story, this was one of the keys to open the inheritance. Naturally he kept it for himself after doing all the work.

After a month, cultivators more or less started to gather into groups and rejoin their sect brothers and sisters. Shao Jingyi had not had the luck to meet Yang Kai but he would soon. All he had to do was follow the group and he would soon meet the destined man. By now Shao Jingyi had already switched back to his own clothing since the previous clothing was tattered and destroyed from his battle with the sixth order monster beast. He had broken off from his group and joined the High Heaven Pavillions disciples. He lied saying he was a disciple of High Heaven Pavilion and fabricated more lies to cover up his identity. In the end there wasn't a problem so he was accepted.

After spending time and talking with the other cultivators he learned about the conditions of the other sect disciples. Most disciples had already regrouped with their sect brothers and sisters but some were still missing. Unfortunately Yang Kai was one of those missing from the High Heaven Pavilion.

After having another battle with a different sixth order beast, it had another key for the inheritance. Shao Jingyi just hid his strength because if he were so powerful then he would definitely be a known disciple within High Heaven Pavilion. Everytime there was not a battle he would cultivate and just follow the group around.

A couple days later High Heaven Pavilion's disciples encountered Storm Manor's disciples while fighting a sixth order monster beast. This of course started a conflict. Jie Hongchen, the one leading the High Heaven disciples started arguing with Fang Ziqi. This was rather amusing to Shao Jingyi. The people in this world acted and talked funnily. It was a front row seat. A little bit after the battle with the sixth order monster beast started, a new group of cultivators had joined. Of course, Yang Kai had finally arrived. Shao Jingyi sized him up and could tell just from looking, although he was a Seventh Stage Initial Element cultivator, he was definitely stronger than he looked.

Immediately after Jie Hongchen saw Yang Kai, a grin formed on his face. He obviously had bad intentions. The two of them had some grievances so it made sense Jie Hongchen would try to cause trouble for him.

"Yang Kai, don't be ashamed to seek shelter with us High Heaven Pavilion disciples," Jie Hongchen said.

"Ashamed? I could care less. Who needs your help?" Yang Kai said as he turned and ran away.

Shao Jingyi decided to chase after him shouting "wait up brother Yang," all the while disregarding Jie Hongchen. This further angered him as he sent some disciples to chase both Yang Kai and Shao Jingyi.

Catching up to Yang Kai, Shao Jingyi said, "Hold Up brother Yang."

Arriving next him Yang Kai was confused. Who was this guy and what did he want. And most confusing, he had the aura of a Fifth Stage Initial Element but was able to keep up with his pace nonetheless catch up to him.

"Who are you?" Yang Kai asked confusingly.

"Just a fellow brother treading the Martial Dao. How about we work together. I would have a higher chance of surviving with you than staying with those guys," Shao Jingyi replied.

Before they could talk more 10 disciples had caught up to them and started attacking the both of them. This was nothing for Shao Jingyi but he still wanted to conceal his abilities. Both Shao Jingyi and Yang Kai dodged and countered the attacking disciples while retreating. After a bit of struggle Shao Jingyi told Yang Kai to split up and he nodded. Saying so, both of them split up immediately and scattered to the wind.

After a while the High Heaven disciples gave up on chasing Shao Jingyi. In truth, they would never have caught him anyways.

After a few days Shao Jingyi met up with Yang Kai again. This time he was with two girls who were twins. Their names were Hu Jiao'er and Hu Mei'er. At the moment the two were cultivating some kind of inheritance in a cave. This gave Shao Jingyi and Yang Kai some time to break the ice. They got along well and even discussed about the martial dao. After a few days the girls exited the cave and met Shao Jingyi. He greeted them and they all were acquainted. While talking an intense aura befell them. Some commotion was heard so the four of them headed in that direction.

Arriving, there was an intense battle going on. High Heaven Pavilion disciples were battling a monster beast, a 6th Order at that. It was a giant turtle. Su Yan, the strongest and most talented High Heaven Pavilion core disciple was leading the battle. It wasn't looking good for her. She told her fellow sect brothers and sisters to retreat as she started to battle the monster beast alone. It's tough she'll proved her attacks useless. She started to lose energy and was about to take a heavy blow but that's when Yang Kai acted. He jumped and grabbed Su Yan to shield her from the incoming blow. Not falling behind, Shao Jingyi followed up and pushed the out of the way, taking in the brunt of the attack by himself. He was sent flying was now out of the battle.

By the time he returned the battle had already been decided. "Already?," Shao Jingyi thought. That's no fun. Yang Kai works pretty fast. He could tell that Yang Kai had contributed to the battle a lot because he was currently on his knees, breathing heavily and physically tired. About to walk up to him, Shao Jingyi notice a High Heaven disciple sneaking up on him. But in the next moment Yang Kai had killed him. This was of course Xie Hongchen's doing.

Shao Jingyi dispised this type of character. He walked over to a person and shouted, "Xie Hongchen!"

Xie Hongchen turned around to the voice that called his name and was met with something unexpected. A hand through his chest. Blood started to gush out. "I hope you're raised better in your next life, scum," Shao Jingyi said as he started to pour qi into Xie Hongchen's body. In the next moment, the body bursted and blood flew everywhere. Turning to Xie Hongchen's followers, Shao Jingyi just said coldly, "fuck off"

Turning over to Yang Kai he asked, "Satisfied?" Which he was met with a smile. "Yes, very," Yang Kai replied.

After a moment something flew out of Shao Jingyi's space ring and went into the sky. It was one of the nine keys to opening the inheritance. The other keys gathered and a storm started to form. Everyone started to fall back and Yang Kai asked Shao Jingyi to join him but Shao Jingyi refused. He planned to stay and temper his body in the storm. Not protesting, Yang Kai left with the others.

When everyone left, Shao Jingyi entreated the eye of the storm. Arriving in the middle he got into his stance and started muttering a chant. He started to make movements and perform stances.

After the storm calmed down, golden bright stairs appeared in the sky. This was the true inheritance of this legacy cave. After changing into a new pair of clothing, Shao Jingyi met up with Yang Kai and exchange some small talk. After some small talk he parted ways with Yang Kai. He didn't care about the inheritance at all. His body was superior to a dragon body which was the inheritance. And he could always buy a dragon core in his system shop anyways. Shao Jingyi started to venture deeper into the Legacy Cave to try his luck.

Continuing to progress further out of the Legacy Cave, Shao Jingyi started to test his body. He would fight monster beast without the use of his qi. It was difficult for him but he grew accustomed to it. He would never run out of qi since he had unlimited reserves but he had to be prepared for when ever his qi was sealed in the future or if qi wasn't an option at all. Those arrays are pretty powerful. Being able to restrict qi could cause a cultivators death. Shao Jingyi had to be prepared.

After about 5 days, he decided to stop for the time being and cultivate. Being so far out, he was sure no one thought of doing what he was doing but if there was it wouldn't bother him. The surrounding qi was super rich beyond anyone's wildest dreams. By comparison, it was at least 50 times more abundant than the outside world. Sitting down to cultivate, Shao Jingyi immediately his cultivation start to rise. After just 20 minutes Shao Jingyi advanced to the 5th rank of Qi Transformation Realm. And not long after that he advanced again. Delighted, Shao Jingyi continued to cultivate. After a full day, his cultivation had arrived at the peak of Qi Fusion(Seperation and Reunion). Now he just needed to wait for his Yuan Qi to purify into True Qi to advance further in his cultivation. This would take a day or so by his calculation.

Not feeling the need to further cultivate, he continued on. He started moving forward again and noticed that his speed had increased dramatically. This was convenient. After a few more days of slaughtering monster beasts and picking spiritual herbs and more, he had discovered a small gathering of buildings. There were few buildings and they weren't too grand in size. But they were decorated fancily with gold and jade.

Seeing this sight, Shao Jingyi made his way towards them. As he got closer his excitement grew. He continued to get closer but after awhile he felt something was off. After his initial notice of this place, and making his way towards it, he should have arrived by now. But it seemed that he had made no progress at all. He cursed under his breath, "Bitch, Space principles".

Shao Jingyi had not yet started cultivating space principles and had no experience in this field besides knowledge from his past life. After a bit he just decided that since he couldn't do anything, he could use the Space Principles restricting him to cultivate the Space Dao. I'm a way, this was a blessing in disguise.

Starting to move again, Shao Jingyi started to inquire about his surroundings and any little detail he could make out from the Space Principles. He continued this as he walked. After a week of perceiving the secrets of Space, his comprehension had grew. He now had a general idea of how to get pass this space barrier. Using some of his comprehension, Shao Jingyi started to emit a very small amount of Space Force. As he moved forward he could tell that the small cities were definitely getting closer. Happy about this scene, Shao Jingyi started making his way forward.

After about an entire hour, Shao Jingyi had made it to the city. Only then did he feel that the Space that restricted him before had disappeared. When he notice that the restriction was gone, he could feel that his compression of Space had improved.

After deactivating his Space Force, Shao Jingyi started to search the buildings. I'm the first building he found numerous things. He found resources and artifacts and more that were not if this world. He also found countless skills and techniques. All just from one building. How about the other some odd 10 or so buildings.

After a few hours Shao Jingyi had looted all the buildings except for one more. He was now rich beyond comprehension. And with the artifacts he found, he could destroy the world with a single strike or defend himself from the world. These treasures were from peak existences from the outside world. From the secret arts, to the artifacts, they were all associated with the Dragon and Phoenix Clan. This made sense since this Legacy Cave was formed by two masters from both clans.

His gains were more than astronomical. Making his way to the last building, he was hopeful for more treasures. But when he opened the door into the small building, it was empty. Shao Jingyi was genuinely confused. All of the other buildings contained enough riches to keep the world running for hundreds of eons, each building individually. So why did this building have nothing. Puzzling him even more, this building was the most lavishly styled so he expected this building to contain the best items. After pondering, he walked in. Nothing felt unique about the room and there was nothing hidden at all. With this being said, he just left. After he finished up here, he activated his Space Force and left. He decided to venture deeper into the Lagacy Cave.

After half a month of venturing and finding nothing new besides numerous spirit herbs of high grades and encountering dangerously strong monster beast with Dragon and Phoenix bloodline, he had not discovered any new places that contained secret arts or artifacts. The further he ventured out, the more infinite the legacy caved seemed to be. It was probably because of the Space Principles from the Phoenix Clan. Already having an amazing harvest he just decided to stop his search and cultivate. Finding a mountain, he entered it and went into seclusion.

After a whole month of pure cultivation, Shao Jingyi had reached the 2nd Stage Immortal Ascention Realm. He could have gone further but he started cultivating his Divine Soul after reaching the Immortal Ascention Realm. Not long after he started to comprehend more of his body tempering technique. During this process he started to mine into the mountain with his bare fists.

Three months later, while destroying the rocky earth beneath him, Shao Jingyi started to feel the world shake. It must be because the inheritance of the Legacy Cave had been inherited by both Yang Kai and Su Yan. He was wondering when it would happen, it had she's been quite a while since they entered. According to the original timeline, they should have already inherited the inheritance. Immediately Shao Jingyi speculated, "time principles!". This must have been the reason why, he did venture further out and encountered the Space Principles of the Phoenix Clan but he had not yet encountered time Principles. But now it seemed he had.

With this, he decided to leave. He could always revisit this Legacy Cave and find out about the rest of its secrets. After assessing his body and progress, he flew in the direction he had come from. Within a day he had reached the general area of where the entrance to the Legacy Cave was. His speed was now several times faster than before. There was now an open portal which connected to the outside world. Landing on the ground he walked through the portal and exited the Legacy Cave.

Stepping out of the portal, he had successfully exited the Legacy Cave. The area seemed very lively and everything was bustling. Adjusting his aura to seem weaker, he made his way over to High Heaven Pavilion.

Sorry, lots of stuff happening at the moment. Taking exams and about to graduate High School. Also preparing for college. Definitely not dripping but I’ll update as frequent as I can!!
