Ch 33: The Giant Tortoise
The second ability of the herb that yang feng was excited about, was that it increases the amount of Qi a can person absorb per realm and the speed of Qi absorbtion permanently, also increasing Qi reserves and cultivation efficiency.
The main reason yang feng was so excited about the herb was because the aura the herb released was that of a high-spirit grade herb. This was the first spirit grade herb he had come into contact since his reincarnation.
The effectiveness of this herb would let his Body Cultivation reach at least Mid tier 4 or even peak tier 4, if he could absorb it all, which he knew he could. He carefully harvested the useful parts of the herb, and left it's root as is.
Ever since he became an alchemist, he has been following the alchemist rules of not damaging the root of a herb if it is not useful, this herb was one such herb that didn't have any usefulness in it's roots so he left it.
"I still have about 9-10 days till the High Heaven Pavilion disciples fight with the last guardian, I should continue looking for opportunities till then." Yang feng said to himself after storing the herb in his inventory.

Yang feng could be seen flying at a really fast speed that no ordinary True Element Realm cultivator could catch up to, in the sky with his Qi Wings behind his back. A hour ago, yang feng felt an aura of a 5th tier monster beast, with nearly 30-40 peoples of verious realms fighting it.
When he felt the aura of the monster beast he didn't think much as after a day of his killing the 5th tier snake he repeatedly felt about 5-6 auras at the same level.
But when he felt the aura of those people and calculated the number of 5th tier monsters killed in the last few days, as he himself had killed 2 beasts one of which was the snake and another one was a bull type beast, he knew that this was probably the last 5th tier monster beast guardian left.
So he was going there at his fastest speed, which was equal to 7-8th stage immortal ascension realm. This speed was only possible because of his extremely pure and concentrated Qi combined with his powerful body that could handle the opposing air currents.
When he reached near the place where the fight was taking place, he saw the scene of a giant tortoise the size of nearly 30 Zheng (100 meters) attacking a bunch of people wearing blue clothings and two more groups of people watching the fight from the sidelines.
The scene looked to be straight out of the manhua. He also noticed three figures, one boy and two similar looking girls, approaching one of the crowd. He immediately knew that they were yang kai and the Hu sisters.
'Looks like the other events went as they were supposed to. Though I am curious if yang kai encountered old demon or not? And if he did, how did he survive.' Yang Feng thought when he saw the three figures while still flying towards the monster, he somehow knew that the person was still yang kai. When he looked towards the monster again, he then saw a beautiful snow giant appearing in front the monster and the other disciples retreating.
Yang feng put it his all in a last sprint and was able to reach his target just as the giant broke down and at the giants position now floating a delicate and weak figure with a little blood leaking from her mouth.
He saw that he could only do one thing as he had not yet stabilized himself and the monster beast was still approaching the floating figure due to inertia. By this time, everyone but the monster beast and the figure floating in the sky had seen him coming at an incredible speed and rushing towards the figure.
Yang feng didn't have the time to look around and directly wrapped the figure of the delicate and exhausted girl in his arms with his back facing the beast.
The next scene caused all the people present, to fall silent. They saw a fast figure approaching the senior sister of High Heaven Pavilion, wrapping her in his arms protectively and facing his back towards the terrifying 5th tier monster.
The next moment the beast collided with the bodies of the two figures. The figures were then flung forward because of the impact of the collision and a cloud of dust rose and covered them.
When Su Yan opened her eyes again, feeling someone holding her protectively in his strong arms. She saw the person she had been trying to find and unknowingly thought about when she thought she was going to die, looking at her with a smile and Blood leaking from his mouth.
"You alright, Su Yan?" Hearing his soft and tender voice coupled with the gulit, worry and immense love in his eyes, It took her a moment to come out of her daze and realize what had happened.
She quickly sat up and checked his condition, as yang feng didn't have enough time to perfectly balanced himself before the collision, he was not able to strengthen his body with his Qi by much and had to withstand the collision with only his body and a little of his Qi.
So his current condition was not really good, but because of his powerful body he was still mostly fine. He only broke a few bones and his internals were shocked by the force of the collision.
Su Yan noticing his condition and the power his body seemed to hold was both shocked and relived. Shocked because she didn't knew that he had refined his body to be so powerful and relived because she noticed that his injuries were not too severe and would heal quickly because of his strong body.
When yang feng tried to standup, Su Yan helped him, her help was unnecessary because he could stand by himself as the injuries were not much to him, but he didn't say anything stupid and simply enjoyed her soft and slightly cold body against him.
"Stand back and rest... I'll finish him off and then we can talk, ok." After a minute of enjoying himself and looking at the ice on the giant creaking, he told Su Yan first and when she was going to say something he told her that they will talk later.
Su Yan sighed and nodded, while he slowly backed out. Yang feng then walked in front of the monster and gathered his Qi into his fist. He didn't use his spear as he still didn't have a technique to kill the monsters in one move, 'I should start creating more spear techniques.' he thought while looking at the beast.
When he had gathered nearly 60 percent of his remaining Qi into his fist, he looked into the panicking eyes of the beast who seems to understand that the power of that one fist was too much for it to handle and started struggling.
"You have stayed for far too long, DIE!" Yang feng said the first words calmly and jumped into the air directly above the head of the giant tortoise and shouting at the end.
When his fist connected with the head, he used his 'Overlord Fist Technique' and used all the Qi condensed into his fist to release a shockwave inside the head of the beast.
The force of the punch coupled with the shockwave released by his Qi, caused the entire head of the beast to explore with nothing remaining.
Everyone watching was stunned speechless by what happened and looked at yang feng fearfully. While Su Yan and some girls on the other hand were mesmerized by the scene in front of them and all had their own thoughts, which they decided to keep to themselves.

1) is to ask you about what should I include in the dual cultivation technique. (I already have done it all, but want to know what you guys think so if I get a compatible suggestion, I will add include it in the technique.

2) I got a little stumped at the soul cultivation technique as there were not any soul CULTIVATION technique in the original, except the eyes and such. So I made a technique that would compliment the soul warming lotus, but the functions are not that much. Suggest something if you want.
