Ch 32: Venting

The great elder had just given the same speech he gave in the original to the disciples going into the inheritance cave. "All disciples, get ready!" The great elder shouted to the disciples.

In a minute, the disciples were allowed to go inside the enterance of the cave. Yang feng who was leading the disciples of High Heaven Pavilion was the first to enter.

As he stepped into the enterance, felt a sudden shift in his environment. Knowing that this was just the change in space around him, he was calm. When he landed and looked around himself, he saw the same cave shown in the manhua.

He didn't wait for anyone else to appear and sprung into action. He sprinted towards where he felt some disturbance. When he reached there he saw exactly what he was looking for, the stone puppets holding the meridian diagram.

Looking at the dozens of puppets in front of him, yang feng revealed a wild smile," this is going to be really exciting." Saying that he leaped into action.

He arrived in front of the puppets and started smashing them. The puppets ranged from Qi Transformation realm to separation and Reunion Realm, with some even at True Element Realm.

Yang feng didn't really need the meridian diagrams inside the puppets,he was just using the puppets to vent. He has started to get frustrated that even after yang feng took the mystic demon tomb from yang Kai, but he still recovered and reached the Cultivation Realm he had in the canon during the opening of the inheritance cave.

Don't get him wrong, he was happy that his brother healed from his injuries as he had a great relation with yang kai. But the circumstances of his recovery with the ongoing event was highly unusual.

It was like the will of the world pushed all fortune towards yang Kai and he will still get something as an replacement if his fortune was ever intercepted. And this was getting on yang feng's nerves. He doesn't know what would happen now that he entered the inheritance cave. Will he encounter some problem and will not able to take the dragon inheritance? or he can?, but yang Kai would get something else or he would not get anything?

After decimating the more than 50 puppets which gained him 4 meridian diagrams, yang feng finally calmed down and decided to just go with the flow for now, after taking a deep breath and collecting the diagrams, he left the cave.

As he stepped out from the cave, he saw a few trees around him and a little further was a large pond, which was filled with clear water.

Yang feng looked around himself and started moving after choosing a random direction. He was looking for heaven and earth treasures as he knew that there would be many of them in the inheritance cave.

As he moved around for a few hours, he came across a piece of land that was devoided of any trees, for a whole 5 km radius. Which was unusual as this place was located in the depth of a forest.

As he moved towards the center of the land, he started having a feeling that something was extremely unusual about this place.

The ground didn't have any trees and looked to be dead, which would not be possible unless all the Qi in it was extracted. Just as yang feng was about 500 meters away from the center of this unusual land.

He felt the ground under his feet vibrate slightly. Yang feng immediately used his True Qi to make wings and leap into the sky. Which proved to be a great decision, as the moment he leaped into the sky, the ground where he was standing shattered with giant scaled jaws appearing from under the ground.

Sensing that it had missed it's pray, the owner of the jaws revealing itself. In front of yang feng now stood a giant snake that looked to be around 35 Zheng (116 meters).

The snake had blue scales that were shining under the rays of the sun, it's eyes were a menacing yellow staring at yang feng like a predator.

When yang feng saw the snake he was a little surprised by it's size and it's aura. This snake was a tier 5 monster beast and was probably one of the guardians of the golden palace.

Looking at the monster beast in front of him yang feng grew excited as the snake would be a perfect opponent for him to test his full strength. Not to mention that such a beast would not stay here without a reason, so there probably was a heaven and earth treasure at the center of this dead land.

Yang feng took a deep breath and released all restraints, when he did that a pulse of condensed Qi was released from him. After his body cultivation increased, not only his reserves increased, but he noticed that he was able to further condense his Qi.

So he came to the conclusion that the condensation of his Qi was linked to how much of that condensed Qi his body could handle. Now all of his Qi was so condensed that it could all change into liquid state anytime.

{A-Note: although his Qi has been condensed to the extreme it could not transform into liquid state. Think of it as something between gaseous and liquid state, like steam but with much more moisture.}

The snake seeing his do this directly leeped at him with it's mouth open, showing it's deadly poisonous fangs. Yang feng quickly activated his movement technique and took out his spear 'windstorm' from his inventory.

Dodging the open mouth of the snake with his movement technique, yang feng used a technique that he made by combining his 'tornado piercing' and 'The Seven Stars Of The Spear' techniques.

"Chaotic Septem Tornado Strike!" Yang feng exclaimed in a low, dangerous voice and with swift persision made seven attacks that perfectly combined the both techniques with his chaotic natured Qi.

The stikes came from random angles, not giving the snake anyplace to dodge the attack even with it's body shape and speed. The worst thing for it was that following each strike a wind tornado containing yang feng's Qi would enter it's body by piercing it's scales and damage it's internal body.

Having such a disadvantage against yang feng in only one exchange angered the snake. It swiftly turned towards him and with much greater speed leeped towards yang feng, but this time when yang feng evaded it, the snake used it's tail to attack him.

Yang feng with his sharp senses noticed this and dodged the attack. He then again used the same technique to injure the snake further.

The battle only lasted for 15 minutes during which yang feng attacked the beast continuously using his spear technique and a few times with his fist technique.

He was also hit three times during the battle, but wasn't really injuried. "Hmm, so I can defeat a 2nd stage immortal ascension realm cultivator/monster unless the person/beast uses divine sense to attack me."

Yang feng contemplated as he looked at the corpse of the snake beast in front of him. He then took the beast core and placed it in a pouch tied to his waist, while taking the body into his inventory.

He didn't place the core inside the inventory as the snake was likely one of the guardians of the golden palace and he didn't want to know if there would be some consequences of one of the cores to just disappear, as his inventory is an isolated place with no concept of space or time.

After finishing with that, he went towards the center of the dead land and found a single herb there.

The herb was a dark-green vine with tiny bell-shaped flowers. It's leaves were a shape of sharp inverted cups.

When yang feng saw the herb he grew excited because he recognized the herb. The name of the herb was 'Qiexin', it was a Yin attribute herb that absorbs all types of Qi's from it's surroundings.

The herb although a Yin attribute was a great tonic for body cultivation. It had the the effects of Qi balancing, it's yin nature resonates with bodies yang nature and removes any excesses and deficiency from the body, promoting harmony between the consumers meridian pathways while cleansing the consumers meridians.

The second ability of the herb that yang feng was excited about, was that it increases the amount of Qi a can person absorb per realm and the speed of Qi absorbtion permanently, also increasing Qi reserves and cultivation efficiency.
