Chapter 4-Escaping Glaustein

Because of the Queen's announcement, I am unable to sleep. Even more, she arranged a large number of knights in front of my room. The Queen gave the palace staff the order to get me a room. I can only state that this is too much for me.I was worried about Calyx because he was left alone all day. I wish Mr. Falthrom had looked after him despite his misbehavior. I had a vision of Calyx standing by my side. Some purring was audible, but I never paid much attention to it. I opened my eyes as I heard the guards screaming and a cat screeching. I leapt from my bed and sprinted for the door. I discovered the guards were crying out in agony when I opened the door. I was on the ground when I saw Calyx come over and rub his face against my legs.

I questioned him, "Calyx? What are you doing here? Who's with you?" The only response he was capable of giving was, "Meow." I picked him up and sprinted down the hallway like a bouquet of petals in the wind.

When I arrived at the castle's drawbridge, I came to a stop. A knight greeted her and said, "Good evening, Miss Witch. The Queen's order is to keep you from leaving the castle grounds. I wonder why you are still awake?"

He was a member of the Cardinal Order, based on his badge. He raises his wand and exerts control over the surface I've been walking on. I leap up a tree and give him the cold shoulder.

"Does breathing some fresh air not count? After all, I can’t accept the royal decree of Your Highness," I answered.

His eyes squinted, and he laughed like a maniac. He created earth walls and imprisoned me inside of them. I got my weapon on my thighs and transformed them into laser cannons. I can’t believe that I am doing some kind of stupidity despite the small area of the firing range. The earth wall might collapse on me, and I can’t guarantee Calyx’s safety.

I questioned Calyx, "Calyx, this is something between us two. Can you keep my secret?"

My stupidity was assuming that this might be our final encounter. I imagine that I have teleportational abilities.

I instructed Calyx, "Go to Mr. Falthrom, and please, don't you ever give him a headache. Especially when he was doing his prototypes."

This good boy needs to live and endure. I look over the earth's outer walls as I teleport him to Mr. Falthrom. This knight's annoying laughter is still audible to me. "You're easily captured despite your recognition! You're no fun after all! I suppose those awards are just for show!"

He made fun of me. Doesn't he hear the saying, "Do not underestimate your enemy's ability, or else you are digging your own grave?" as I heard another blatant lie come from his mouth?

"Mockery may boost your confidence, but it degrades your luck and fighting ability, as your fighting strategy becomes a story with many plot holes."

His earth wall was destroyed when I launched the laser cannon upward. I feel that his earth wall contains a significant number of Magialine, Sagreon, and Sorcerite stones. Once they react to one of each ore, my weapon's wielding capacity doubles. Metamorphosis is the name I gave to the first weapon I ever made.

The clouds that obscured the stars and moon were removed by a strong light that was directed directly into the sky. When I noticed him trembling in fear, I furrowed my brows. I want to say one thing to everyone.

I questioned him, "I know you only serve people and the Royal Family, but messing around with me is such a bad idea. Did anyone warn you about my bad temper?"

"Mr. Knight from the Cardinal Order. He started shouting out of anger, and I smiled. I yelled, "I'm Epiphany Saberblade, and I'm not anyone's property! Not by the nobles! And even the royal family is not an exception!"

I sprinted through him and past him as I left blue rose petals fluttering in the wind. He was gritting his teeth in anger when I caught a glimpse of him. They can't let me leave this country now that I've managed to get away from the castle. All I have to do is change the way I look. I recall the day Alethea made her prediction before my reincarnation.

"I give you the power of truth, Serena, because even though you have all those qualities, being powerless is pointless. From now on, you will become my descendant," Alethea said.

When she said she would give me her power and I would become her descendant, I still had my doubts. After I give her a brief moment of my attention, she laughs gracefully as I glare at her.

I said, "I know that every power you grant has a grave return. Hey, you're not after my soul, are you?"

"Obviously not! The witches need your assistance to kill the vampires. Fight from the shadows if the witches turn against you," she advised.

We had left, and the next thing I knew, I was an orphan. In my new life, I cut off contact with my brother. He turned me over to his friend, Mr. Noah Falthrom, for care. As I grew older, I joined the Brixonia Academy of Witchcraft to repay Alethea for her generosity.

My awareness returned to the present. While the rain began to fall, my heart was racing. My strength starts to wane, and my vision starts to become foggy. I've never used my power continuously until now. The forest begins to reverberate with my name. I must leave right away! When I heard the motor boat passing by the river, I briefly became disoriented. I entered the motorboat without hesitating. I stepped off the boat and onto the haystack that was kept at the back. After experiencing some numbness, I began to close my eyes.

"All I could do was stake all my luck on this motor... boat,"I said, and my consciousness sailed off into the depths of a dream. I opened my eyes gradually and gasped when I noticed Alethea prodding my cheeks. I asked her bewilderedly, "Alethea? What are you doing here? Am I dead again?"

She chuckled while firmly pinching my cheeks. "Of course not, silly! You're not dead! I'm just visiting you in your dreams," she retorted after she made fun of me. Then, I questioned, "Why are you here with me?"

She commenced drinking her tea as she sat on a drifting cloud. Her long, light blue hair, which also had dark blue highlights, was swaying with the ambient breeze. I don't understand how she has time to drink tea right now. She pretends to have forgotten and says, "Oh my. Didn't I tell you the reason?"

Alethea was so carefree that she even forgot that I had to flee for my life this time in order for her to get what she wanted from me.

I yelled, "No, we have to leave the Glaustein empire or else I won't do as you've asked!

"She smirked at me while holding her chin up. I don't like her idea, whatever it may be. I promise you, if they ever become a hindrance to our way, they'll see my wrath, and anyone who goes against my descendants will suffer greatly.

When I woke up, the sun was beating down on my face as a gleaming light began to engulf the area. When I rubbed my eyes, the strange environment suddenly appeared in front of me. Whoa, where the heck am I?
