Chapter 5- The Eblines Empire

I stroll all over the city. Compared to Glaustein, the air was cleaner. Children's laughter as they play in the plaza can be heard. I was experiencing headaches due to the colors in the environment. My eyes may still be dealing. A little girl was holding my hand, and when I looked into her eyes, she was startled.

She said, "Miss, I think I can help you find a place." I give myself the power to read minds. As I read about some disgusting things happening in the city, I could feel her fear. I find it hard to believe that despite the beautiful colors of this city, bad deeds still exist. I'm going to act as though I don't understand everything about this dubious enterprise. Patting her hair, I positioned myself at her height.

I muttered, "Leave me the adults' problems; I'm intruding."

As I rose, the young girl looked perplexed. My thigh-hanging case belt is where I stow my weapon. My weapon changed into a laser cannon, which I pointed at a man leaning against the wall of the stall. His skin was tanned, and he had long, cerulean hair that was tied back. The scent of lavender was still permeating his attire. The fact that this villain had a better sense of style than other villains I had encountered in the past made me raise my eyebrows and sigh in disbelief. The citizens of the city began to flee for their lives out of fear.

I cautioned him, "Mister, you shouldn't drag kids into this shady business. I told him, "Mister, don't bring kids into this shady business." I started to fire the laser cannon, which caused his eyes to widen. He almost peed in his pants as he fell to the ground. When he hit the ground, he nearly peed his pants.

He rambled, "Calm down, Miss! How did you?"

He spoke incoherently, "Calm down, Miss! How did you?" The young kids were standing behind me as he glared at them. They don't tell me anything, Mister, and I won't mind ripping off your two heads if you continue to bring these kids to your dubious business. I drew my sword and said, "The upper part and the lower part."

I deactivated the laser cannon and transformed it back to its original form. I reinserted it into my case. I could hear him screaming as I left the area.

He yelled, "I will kill you, damn lady!"

He must have swayed my opinion for a split second. He lunges at me while brandishing a dagger. I smirked and sprinted toward him to grab his face.

I pushed him and said, "Go ahead if you can." I struck his head against the city's cement road.

He passed out and threw up everything he had just eaten. The crowd applauded loudly as they were pleased with the scene they had just seen. When I noticed a squad of soldiers heading in my direction, my eyes grew wider. I leap to the rooftop and begin to flee the situation in order to avoid any trouble.

I leaped down to the alley. A man in a cloak grabs my hand and we begin to run. He had purple eyes that looked expensive, and he had silver hair. I couldn't see his face because it was hidden behind a black mask, so I had no idea who he was and was forced to follow him for a while. As the sun begins to set, a chilly breeze from the air touches our skin as we arrive at the city's outskirts. We were catching our breath as we lost the ability to complete the lengthy run.

I asked him, "Who are you?"

I shiver in response to his icy gaze. He introduces himself, "I am Zain Ashford, Knight Commander of the Eblines Empire. I cast doubt on his motives and attempted to read his mind, but to my surprise, he blocked the ability, so I gave up and gave him a glare. What do you want, then? I asked him a question.

Before he addressed me, he cast a far-off glance at me. But why would a common witch like me be interested in speaking with the Knight Commander of the Eblines empire? "I want you to serve Eblines, and I just want you to help me kill the vampires like you did in Glaustein," he replied.

My eyes grew wider. How did he discover that I was a Glaustein native? He raised his hands as I pointed my weapon in his direction. I questioned him, "How did you know that I'm from Glaustein?"

He raised his arms and didn't even blink. He apologized, saying, "My bad. Your name was roaring like thunder. I heard about you, Miss Blue Rose Witch. Prince Sol is going to marry you. Plus, your badge tells us that you are a witch from the Falcon Order."

"Because that empire made me marry the prince against my will, I have been evading it. That prince and I can not wed. He never did anything but bother me. Because of his tricks, I once broke my leg. I never want to see his face again," I explain in a haughty tone.

"That's why I ran away from Glaustein," I said.

I don't think Zain will understand my situation, as he stretches his hands and I watch the sky as it begins to cloud.

"What's the problem? Still doubting me?" he questioned. As soon as he released his hand, I crossed my arms. What does he anticipate? Having faith in him already? He rolled his eyes the other way and squinted his eyes.

I yelled, "How do you expect me to trust you? You might tell the Cardinal Order of Glaustein and the Falcon Order that you found me here!"

Like there was no tomorrow. He laughed and slapped his thigh while holding his waist. What about the things I said are funny? He halted and wiped away his tears.

"I might do that, but Sol needs to change his attitude before he decides to marry you, so I guess he'll end up dead if he offends you," he said, apologizing profusely.

Even though Sol is a member of the royal family, I am unable to execute him. I took a seat and awaited the rain.

He came over and sat down next to me, asking, "So what are you going to do?"

I hug my knees as I sigh deeply. Maybe I'll take a trip around the world to hunt vampires and bring the Zeprailles empire to an end in retaliation. That's what I need to do right away. He is still waiting for my response when I look at him.

I lied, "Maybe I'll construct a home on a specific mountain in a distant country just to escape the shittiness of this continent."

But it's also not a bad idea to tell that lie. He put out a red apple. Before Zain took a bite of the apple, I took a look at it and grabbed his hand. Zain frowned, losing interest in the apple-biting activity.

"Hey, what's the matter?" he enquired.

I retrieved my tools after opening my belt bag. I took a spoonful of the apple's interior and tested it on a tiny silver plate. The little plate darkened.

"Where did this apple come from, Zain? Someone has tried to kill you."

He once again adopts a serious expression. He murmured, "It can't be, but why does my friend want to poison me? It makes no sense!"

The most dangerous betrayal is silent wrath. It has the potential to kill you covertly. I wonder who this friend of Zain is?
