Chapter 3-The Queen Of Glaustein

The Glaustein empire's queen made a courtesy call following the incident last night. I had my hair done in a braided bun and was wearing my black dress. I added a Veronica flower to the back of my braided bun and my favorite flower, the blue rose, to the side of my hair. My heart raced as I walked through the throne room due to my anxiety. In my previous life, I last visited the throne room after receiving a death sentence. The loud music emanating from the trumpet reverberates throughout the throne room as the door opens. As I crossed the red carpet, the nobles, witches, and members of the Glaustein royal family applauded. Headmistress Caroline was smiling at me while Avah was gritting her teeth next to her. How should I put it? The worst quality a human being can have is jealousy. The queen's radiant smile caused the atmosphere in the throne room to glisten when I was in front of her. My fear subsided, and I was able to smile with assurance.

The Queen inquired, "Epiphany Saberblade, what kind of witch are you, and why do the present elemental witches not seem capable of slaying noble vampires?" The commotion all around me sends chills up and down my spine. I bit my lower lip as I hesitated to respond.

I replied, "Your Highness, I'm just an ordinary witch, a powerless witch compared to the abilities of the elemental witches, so I can't say that I am more powerful than they. The throne room was silent for a while, and I glanced up at the queen when she laughed at the serious occasion. Her elegant laugh temporarily confused me.

The queen jokingly remarked, "I'm just kidding, young witch. I'm impressed. You're too humble despite your talent. Please pardon me for making fun of the other witches." I'm not sure if this is a joke. Half-truths comprise jokes.

The elemental witches, with the exception of Claire, all gave me a critical look. Caroline, the headmistress, approaches the queen and challenges her. Headmistress Caroline advised, "Your Highness, your jokes degrade the confidence of the young elemental witches. Please refrain from teasing them."

The Queen turned to face Caroline, the headmistress. Her smile quickly changed to one of seriousness. The atmosphere in the space changed into a tornado, and everything in it became a complete mess! The Queen inquired, "Have you heard what I said, Headmistress Caroline?" I attempted to stand up, but her powers pressured my body, causing it to fall. All over the place, the Queen's authority was displaced.

The Queen commanded, "I challenge the present elemental witches to kill the noble vampires just as this non-elemental witch did, or else you're all a disgrace to our founders!"

The Queen standing before us was formerly a Wind Witch. The ritual of selection chose her to rule the empire of Glaustein. I stood up too hastily and turned to face the Queen's eyes. I exclaimed, "Your Highness, if you let your anger hurt anyone in this room, the situation will worsen, so we humbly ask for your calmness!"

The Queen asked me to assist her as she looked into my eyes. Her surrounding brightness changed into a terrifying darkness that caused us to flee. My weapons are currently unable to assist me. I think the elemental witches are acting like a bunch of idiots by doing nothing but screaming. We'll all be eating dead meat if I don't provoke them! "Don't say your abilities are just for show? What are you doing?" "I yelled.

The Fire Witch furrowed her brows. Why don't you use those abilities that the queen is so proud of? "And so are you." In response, she yelled. Her jealousy irritates me, and this witch has been testing my patience. "We will all perish if I use it! So stop complaining and comply with my orders!" I started yelling.

They ceased speaking. They all looked surprised when they couldn't move their lips. I turned to face the Queen again. The Queen may pass out from exhaustion if this rampage goes on much longer! I yelled, "Claire! Cover her with your light and nullify her powers!" When Claire's body began to move on its own, she exhibited surprise. She raised her hands and surrounded the queen with light, disabling the queen's wind power. The Queen was startled and passed out. I caught Claire from falling when they dropped from the ceiling. The other witches were griping about how their faces were smearing the ground.

Claire exclaimed, "What the hell was that? My body moves on its own, and the next question is—what have you done for Epiphany?" Claire exclaimed. I stroked her hair while winking. I said, "I know you want to help the Queen, and your body moved on its own, so it's nothing, Claire. It's just a call to your instinct."

Claire questioned, "Is that not sorcery?"

"Nope. It isn't," I retorted.

The Queen was accompanied by the professors, physician, and headmistress. I set Claire down and moved in the direction of the Queen. I said, "From the start of the ceremony, someone has been in control of her body."

All of them are staring at me, and the Knight Commander has ordered the knights to lock the castle and look for the intruder. The Knight Commander yelled, "Don't let the intruder get away!"

Miss Reverie inquired, "But how did you know that someone was controlling the Queen?" I pointed to the queen's mouth. I raised a side of my skirt and said, "She asked for help," before pulling my belted weapon from my thigh, looking up and saying. My weapon was transformed into a gun, which I pointed at the fourth niche in the throne room. The criminal is hit by the bullet when I release my gun's trigger. The moment the bullet hit him, the blue rose's petals began to flutter around the room.

Everyone exclaimed, "It's impossible!" I ran up to the criminal and drew my gun. He screamed, wracked with agony, "It can't be!"

I asked him, "Your stealth tactics are not working on me; why do you want to harm the Queen?"

The Queen admitted, "Because I told him so," and then she stood up normally.

When she smiled, I gasped. The Queen praised Miss Saberblade and Miss Melchoir's achievements and said, "Some of your witches, Headmistress Caroline, are interesting ones." I am glad to know that the younger generation can protect the next generation. Cooperation, trusting each other, and teamwork are the keys to success."

"So, all of this was a test?" I inquired. The offender I'm pointing at was able to stand up as soon as the Queen nodded.

"Good thing I have nice armor underneath my clothes, or else I'll end up at the funeral," he told us. "Phew! You've got a nice weapon there, young witch!"

The Queen gave me a squinted look as she observed me. Queen asked, "Can you explain to me why the shot you fired was a warning rather than a killing one?" I returned my weapon to its original state and hid it under my skirt in its carrying case. "Killing someone without knowing the truth is like pulling a weed without its root. We need to gather information, not kill them," I elaborated on my response.

The person I almost killed earlier applauded. " Nice. Do you wish to work for the Eagle Order rather than the Falcon Order? " He asked. "Do you want me to continue the killing Miss Saberblade earlier so I can send you to the afterlife? Headmistress Caroline raises her wand and directs it at the man I almost killed. She warned the man named Alcide, "Stop bothering my witches with your nonsense offers.

Mr. Alcide makes it seem as though Headmistress Caroline's threat frightened him. "You're too frightening, Caroline! I'm interested in witches with such principles. I know that she can use her abilities to their fullest if she joins our order. She even revealed me while using a stealth technique,"Mr. Alcide clarified.

The Queen sighed and stopped the leaders of the Falcon Order and Eagle Order from killing each other. Headmistress Caroline raised her eyebrows, and Mr. Alcide prepared his wand, pointing it out to her.

The Queen commanded, "Enough! Stop arguing over the little witch! She will resign from the Falcon Order and is forbidden to join the Eagle Order because I want her to marry my son!"

My body almost lost all of its strength as my jaw dropped.

When the Queen made her announcement, everyone in the room was taken aback. As I struggle to recover from the Queen's announcement, Claire shakes my body. Claire reassured me, "Epi! Please hold yourself in! The Queen must be joking!"

After a brief moment of loud laughter, the Queen's expression once more turned serious. She grinned and indicated interest by placing her hands on her face. "I'm not joking. I want you to be my daughter-in-law," she said.

My ears don't believe it! I can't get married just yet!
