Also, I'm too lazy to edit any misspell or awkward sentence structure as that would just hinder me from updating since editing itself takes those times I'm being productive. And despite it being my 3rd language, I think I'm proficient enough in English for my works to be coherent, relative to this site maybe one of the higher end. Speaking of updates, expect it somewhere between once or thrice per a week or two. Depending on the levels of my desire for escapism which is common these days. Oh yeah, check out my novel if you want to get mindfucked. Also, it explains abstract concepts which I'll just glossed over here: https://dynamic.webnovel.com/book/24765255205776605?utm_source=writerShare&utm_campaign=4322821953

Change of Perception

The dinner passed with my parents having a couple's argument and myself discussing with them how I will be moving to Japan for my high school. They agreed as long as I visit once and a while, to which I said I shall visit on weekends or holidays on which I have no agenda.

It is midnight, I am sitting on our rooftop gazing upon the vast expanse of outer space and the points of light that seem embedded upon its canvass, the steller lights reaching upon the Earth from distance unimaginable to most of the minds on this planet.

Maybe because I've long conquered interstellar travel has been used to traveling vast distances in instants that I fail to relate to the vast emptiness that the Universe presents.

Gazing upon the star, they are so far away and their light takes so long to reach us. All we ever see of stars are their old photographs. I am one hundred and forty-seven million kilometers from the sun. The sunlight which all the inhabitants of the earth perceive is always ten minutes old.

It will not reach Pluto for another two hours. Two hours into my future, I observe the stars of summer with my love, thinking about how beautiful they are.

12 seconds into my past, I layed on the roof of our house. I am watching the stars.

It is 2181, I sit on top of the time machine, proud of my achievement in making it work, Meli holding a camera points it at me. I am twelve years old.

It is 2183. I am on the roof of the house. I am fourteen years old. The photograph lies in the palm of my hand; I am gazing at it as a test of my widened Perception.

In another Universe, I am watching the stars, admiring their complex trajectories. I am trying to give a name to the force that set them in motion as I play the so specific force that acts within.

Me looking at me looking at me looking at all of me, all happening at the same instance.

All of which prove, that I suppose 𝙄 𝙖𝙢.

It is two hours past midnight.

"The summer star sure is beautiful..." A euphonious voice echoes to my side as light gather beside me and Meli appears sitting alongside me.

"I didn't know you like to toot your own horn, dear Lisz," I responded, a smile appearing on my face that I perceived to be gentle.

"Huh? ...Oh, right." she was initially confused by my words but her cheeks reddened after the realization.

"But I agree, you really are beautiful."Taking her hand, I hold it as we watch the stars together basking in the peaceful ambiance of the night.

"What a strange feeling..." she starts in soliloquy, her voice barely audible in a gentle whisper. "Gazing Reality from such a Narrative of being Within and Beyond gives a feeling of an oddity when all that you know of before is gazing through such an infinitesimal hole of limited Perception...." she continues, gazing upon the Stars, she gazing at herself.

To her words, I just smiled and gave her one of our old photographs I was gazing at.
