Chapter 38. Relax........

When Isla came back to room she saw Daniel was casually leaning on the headboard of the bed while closing his eyes.

Isla gently came near the bed and switched off her side of lamp. She didn't want to wake him up to make things awkward for herself. She then quietly layed on her side of the bed facing her back to the man on the other side.

Just as she closed her eyes, she felt some movements behind her and then a firm grip held her waist. Isla jolted. But she somehow managed to control her emotions and stayed still.

Daniel held her waist in his arm and nuzzled his face in her hair on her neck to inhale her sweet smell. It was heaven for him.

"Why didn't you change into night gown today? Isn't it uncomfortable in this?" he asked in a whisper.

He was awake? Isla thought that he was sleeping.

"No it isn't. They are comfortable." she said in a soft voice.

Daniel knew that she was shy to wear those sexy nightgowns that his mother prepared for her. Moreover the loungewear looked quite comfortable, so he didn't insist her further.

"Tomorrow we have to go to the office. Sleep." Daniel said in hushed voice.

Isla was too stiff in his hold. She was scared to move too much. Even though they had become slightly closure then before, she still felt little intimidated by his close presence. It made her heart race.

Daniel could feel her stiffness. He sighed inwardly and gently turned her around holding her shoulder.

Even when the room was dimmly lit , he could clearly see Isla's eyes wide open. Her eyelids were fluttering like wings of butterfly.

He then placed her head on his arm and hugged her close to his heart. "Relax and sleep. I won't do anything to you unless you allow me to do." He kissed her eyes close and caressed her hair to sleep.

Isla was in daze. She didn't know what he was talking about but she strated to relax. It was as if his enchanting voice was controlling her mind and body.

Soon after Isla went into deep slumber. In her sleep she nuzzled further into Daniel's embrace.

Daniel smiled and gently patted her back as if he was coaxing a baby to sleep.

He could have made his distance from her since she was not comfortable with his closeness. But he wanted her to be accustomed to his body and touches. He wanted her to be comfortable around him so that when she is fully prepared he would take this relationship to next level.

He just wanted to love her soo much that she would never leave his side. He wanted to pamper her and protect her so that she would be with him for entire life.

Next morning, Isla and Daniel went to the office together in the same car after having their breakfast.

Grace was very happy for Isla. She knew that how Isla was not happy sitting at home and doing nothing for the entire day.

As the car reached the entrance of the office gate, the guards standing in a que at the both sides, bowed at the car as they recognised it. It seemed like entry of some royalty.

Being the owner of such a large corporation, Daniel was no less then some royalty. He was worshipped by the owners of many big and small companies. And he was indifferent to all of them. This was nothing new to him.

But Isla was at awe. She was flustered and didn't know how to react.

When the car stopped in front of the large moving glass door which lead to the enormous lobby, that could be seen through the glass doors and walls, Isla was awestruck.

Isla was busy admiring the building which looked enormous, when Daniel got out of the car and came to her side, opened the door and extended his hand in front of her.

Isla came out of her stupor but she was still nervous. She looked in Danial's eyes and he gave her an assuring smile.

She then gently placed her hand in his and got down from the car.

"Why are you nervous? You are the lady boss." He said firmly gripping her waist and leading her inside the building. While all the guards at the door were still bowing and Jack some other secretaries closely followed them from behind.

The receptionist and the other staff who were present in the lobby left all their work and bowed at them.

They were shocked to see a woman so close to him. Though Jack announced their arrival to them previously but they could still not believe that Their cold boss was holding a woman so intimately. Even if she was his wife, Mrs.lee. It was just so new on Daniel's personality.

Then looking at Isla they could make out that the boss really adored her. She looked like a small kitten rather then a wife. In contrast to Daniel's personality which was cold, domineering and ruthless , she looked like a goddess. Her personality looked more approachable and kind.

The scrutining gaze of the staff made Isla very nervous.She subconsciously hid behind Daniel clutching his hand tightly .When she was in her college, she never experienced so many people staring at her. Even when she was beautiful, she never wanted to have too much attention, so she always made sure that she never looked too much eye catching.

But today was a totally different scenario. She was standing beside the most powerful and overly handsome man, who was her husband. She was bound to get this attention.

Daniel was amused by her behaviour. It felt as if she was starting to trust him even when she was just using him as a shield to hide from the staring gazes of the people. Daniel caressed her back and lead her towards his private elevator to his office. Isla followed him.
