Chapter 17. "Consider me your brother......"

At four in the afternoon, Jasper came back. Grace asked him to escort Isla to her apartment and help her bring her things back home.

Grace prepared all the daily things that were needed for living for Isla in a bedroom on first floor. Cloths, accessories, bags, shoes, toiletries, etc. But still there were some personal belongings that were to be brought back.

While Jasper and Isla were on there way towards her apartment they didn't talk at all.

When they arrived at her apartment, Jasper asked her to pack her stuff in the bedroom while he would help to pack in the living room.

When Jasper was packing her stuff he saw some of her childhood pictures. There was one picture in which she was in the arms of a young lady and a man was hugging them both from behind. It was a very sweet picture. She looked very bubbly. In another picture she was standing beside an old man holding his arms tightly as if she was scared to get lost. In that picture she looked in her early teens.

The disparity between her two pictures told him that she must have gone through something heartbreaking between these two pictures. He packed the pictures with other things. When he was nearly done , Isla came out holding a big box in her hand. She was done with packing.

"Can we go now?" asked Jasper. He saw Isla wanted to say something but was hesitant to say it. "Say it ." he said softly.

"A..... actually I have a teddy. And I want to bring it with me." she said meekly. Seeing her expressions Jasper chuckled.

"Ofcourse you can. Bring it."

Hearing him, Isla ran into her bedroom and came out with a three feet tall panda teddy holding with both her hands. It made Jasper laugh. He ruffled her hair and called the helpers to load the stuff in his car. Isla came down with Jasper , still holding the giant panda in her hand. She made the panda sit in the back seat and sat on the passenger seat. Jasper was driving the car. They brought two cars. In one there were Jasper and Isla with her Mr. panda and, in the another were two helpers and two badyguards trailing them.

On there way back Jasper said, " Isla, you are like a younger sister to me. I would never harm you or something. Why would you be so scared of me? Do i look like a ghost to you?" He said with a smiling face .

"No, you don't, brother Jasper. It's just that I am like this ever since I was young. When I grew up, I took many personality development classes but that too didn't change much in me." she said softly.

" That's okk. I am sure after sometime you will get comfortable around us. There is no need to worry about it. And also, if there is anything troubling you, consider me as your brother and tell me about it, okay?" He said with a tender face. If his assistant were to see this face of him, he would surely faint due to shock.

"Sure thing , brother ." said Isla smiling to him.

"We have arrived, you can get down." Isla quickly unbuckled her seatbelt and got down. After that she opend the back door of the car and pulled her dear teddy out. After doing so she hurriedly ran towards the entrance of the mansion. This entire sequence made Jasper laugh hard. 'This girl.... is just amazing.' he thought.
