Chapter 16. "Sure mother....."

When they reached the mension, they saw that Daniel came back from the hospital. You could not make out that he went through such an accident last night. He looked perfectly fine except for some scratches on his face.

Daniel went through a very intence training in his younger days. This was the reason that even when he had a surgery yesterday he was walking straight. He was wearing his usual business suit and looked fine.

But for Grace, it was as if he came back from gates of hell. As soon as she saw him standing at the gate of the mension, she started running in his direction like crazy. Tears were streaming down from her eyes. It was as if she had finally gotten her long lost child. "huaaaa... ...huaaaaa...cough.....hmmm...where.... where were you?....sob... sob...Are you hurt anywhere?.....Oh my god.....oh my...sob... sob..." She fainted in the arms of Daniel. William came towards Daniel and pulled his wife in his arms. He gave a sinister look to Daniel as if it was his fault that she fainted. ' I didn't do anything '.

'You did! you bastard! This was all because of you!' . The father and son were having conversations through their eyes.

William carried Grace in his arms and went inside without looking back. Daniel, then noticed Isla standing at the back quietly. He just glanced at her and went in. Isla followed after sometime. Inside the mension all people were sitting in the living room while William, Grace, and old madam Lee were upstairs in William's and Grace's room. Old madam Lee had great knowledge of herbel medicines. She quickly made some herbel syrup for Grace and fed it to her. After sometime Grace regained her consciousness. She sat up and looked for Daniel. She asked her husband take her where Daniel was.

When William came down with Grace in his arms, followed by old madam Lee, all the members were sitting in the living room ,near dining hall , leisurely. William placed Grace beside Daniel and sat at the other side of her.

Grace quickly held hands of her son ignoring her husband to which made William very angry at Daniel. But Daniel just gave him a glace and smirked. Which further infuriated him.

"My son, you have been through a lot. Now take rest for some days and live with mother. I will make all kinds of nutritious food for you and you will be alright. " said Grace lovingly to him.

To which Daniel replyed " Sure mother."

Daniel winningly smiled at his father and his father wanted to smack the head of his son. This game of father and son couldn't be missed by anyone. Rest of the family members knew this love- hate relationship between father and son but Isla saw this for the first time. She was amused.

After conversing for some time all the family members went to have lunch in the dining hall.

Elder Lee as usual sat on the head chair. Grand mother Lee was sitting on the left side of Elder Lee. And beside her , Charles Lee was sitting with his family. On the right side of Elder Lee was sitting William Lee, with his wife beside him. And Daniel was sitting beside his mother. And since Jasper was not present, Isla sat beside Daniel.

She was so nervous that she could not have food nicely. She picked food which was just around her. During entire lunch she did not lift her head.

Daniel saw that Isla was eating very little, he frowned. He passed the bowl of fish curry to her.

Isla was having salad on which she chocked. She started coughing hard. " Cough....cough.....cough....."

Daniel again passed her water to which she gulped quickly. "Thank you" she murmured.

When lunch came to an end, elder Lee cleared his throat and said" Daniel can take leave from work for a week. During this time William and Jasper will take over the work." saying this he left the dining hall with butler Henry following him.
