Sorting the Room of Hidden Things

'Damn, Daaaamn. I can beat the shit out of Lockhart. Even on the Dueling Stage in front of the whole School. That's fucking amazing.' Cheered Matthew. He even jumped a few times since the Corridors were currently empty and most Students were already in their Common Rooms. The Meeting with Dumbledore went better than he expected. He actually expected he would have to force the matter in some way by blackmailing the old man.

'Maybe I should have tried the same with History of Magic.' Pondered Matthew as he headed to the seventh floor, 'Better not to try my luck.'

He arrived at the wall opposite the tapestry depicting the attempt of Barnabas the Barmy to teach trolls ballet where the secret entrance to the Room of Requirements was located. One of the reasons he created his Magitek Drones was that they could serve as his menial workforce, besides completing risky tasks for him. And that's the reason why he was here today.

The last target of his first day back in Hogwarts was the Room of Hidden Things, a room that contained centuries of Resources, Artifacts, Books, and Treasures. But unfortunately a lot of junk, it would take months to properly sort through it, an amount of time Matthew didn't want to waste himself. And during the whole time, the Room would be unavailable for usage. Good that he already had a House Trunk with protections and privacy charms set up by default in addition to his own. It was the reason he got a House Trunk already even though he was still required to attend Hogwarts without the ability to travel by himself legally, he also emptied the Content of his original expanded Trunk into it.

After walking down in front of the wall three times he entered the Room through the Door that appeared. Nothing Changed since his first visit. It was still filled with all kinds of Objects and Junk that formed a maze. Once he closed the Door he took the shrunken Trunk around his Neck and accessed it. His three Magitek worker Drones exited the first Compartment of his Trunk.

All three of them had this time hand attachments as arms, with functionality similar to a Human, just with more axis of movement since they were magic-based Robots and not limited by Human limbs. Each of them carried a, by Matthew expanded bag with quite the big amount of space inside, this will allow them to work longer before having to return to Matthew's old Trunk where they would sort the content of their Bags into specific Compartments.

"So are you three ready? Don't forget Compartment one is for rare resources like Metal and Gems, two is for wooden and fabric resources. Into the third compartment come all magical ingredients that are not for potions. The fourth Compartment is for Books while the fifth is for magical enchanted artifacts. The sixth and original Potion Compartment with Stasis Charms will be for all Potion ingredients and Potions. Lastly, everything you are unsure of but could be useful comes into the seventh Compartment. Trash like normal wood, old furniture, completely broken Objects remains here. Although I still want the unreadable books, maybe I will find a way in the Future to restore them." Explained as he watched his three Drones analyzing his commands.

"Beep! Confirming Orders. Working Routine established. All Systems are functional and Ready. Beginning Operation?"

"Yes, you can start. I hope you will find something nice for me here besides some Resources or Books I already know most of the Content off." Muttered Matthew as he hoped this wouldn't become a waste of resources. Although the Room of Hidden Things contained centuries' worth of Objects. It still was mainly only Professors and Students in a School who hid their Junk here. This could become a major waste of time in the end.

Worst Case all he would get of worth were some notes of Students or Professor with some interesting Spells on them, that they created during their time here. Like Snape in his old Potion Book under the name of the Half-Blood Prince.

~ Scene Break ~

"You are not attending DADA anymore? How is that fair? We still have to sit through our Lessons with that half-wit." complained Roger as Matthew told his Roommates a few days later about the change to his Schedule as they headed in direction of their DADA Class.

"Well if you would have as exemplary Grades as me, you also could ask Professor Dumbledore for permission to self-study. But you will have to finish much harder exams than normal." Gloated Matthew with a smug smile on his face.

"Oh, Come on. Shut up, you Git. You just sounded like Lockhart now." Retorted Roger.

"Oh no. I just had one Lesson with him and was infected by his idiotism. I need to visit Madame Pomfrey maybe she will be able to save me." Replied Matthew with Mock Panic as he left his friends and headed for the Library. "See ya fellas. Greet the dunce from me."

Inside the Library, he greeted Madame Pince, who greeted him with a smile. After all, Matthew was one of the few Students she liked since he always treated the Books in the Library with respect and had a great love for knowledge. There was very few Student she liked and they were mostly where Ravenclaw Students.

Once he sat down he took out some of his Notes and began to Work on them. There were multiple projects he was currently working on. In Defense, he currently was developing Rune-based Spells that we're able to exhibit a far larger amount of Power than normal Spells. He is also steadily improving his mastery of elemental magic through practice. As for the normal Defense Curriculum, why would he have to Study something he already learned. He was able to cast all the required Spells silently, wandlessly, and without wand movements. What was there more to do? He was rather more interested in exploring more exotic pieces of magic.

He probably could already complete the exams for his Magical Education with Outstandings. But why should he rush it, there were still so many opportunities for him in the next few years here. And he had the feeling once he stepped into the bigger World that things would become chaotic. There also were the Legacy's of the Founders to explore since Rowena Ravenclaw left something behind why not the others. He currently had multiple guesses about their whereabouts but was only sure about one. The Legacy of Slytherin should be in the Chamber of Secrets and only accessible for a Parselmouth. There is no way that all there is to something called the Chamber of SECRETS is that it's a nesting place for a thousand-year-old Basilisk.

The Legacy of Hufflepuff may be hidden in the Kitchens but he couldn't find anything there, he already checked multiple times. Maybe he needed some kind of Key. As for Gryffindor, his best guess was the forbidden Forest. And the only place he didn't check yet was the Acromantula Nest. He didn't want to slaughter an army of Spiders for now. After all, they still were Hagrid's friends maybe he could use the distraction caused by Harry and Ron this year?

Another one of his current Projects was Ginny Weasley. To be precise he was monitoring the condition of her and her Soul as he scanned her at every opportunity. He also recorded every detail with the help of Sarah. Currently, he had the unique opportunity to collect Data of a Horcrux possession in a safe environment. This Observation Project already gave him unique insights into his understanding of Soul Magic.

He also practiced continuously his Soul control with his Occlumency. He was very close to mastery and a major change in understanding of his own Soul. It would only take a few weeks until he completed it.
