Hogsmeade

While Harry, Ron, and Hermione the classical golden trio, began to frequently visit the Hogwarts Library in order to research the name Nicholas Flamel that Hagrid let slip, Matthew continued with his study of Fire elemental magic. Since the golden trio didn't even mention to him what Hagrid had said or asked him if he knew who Nicholas Flamel was, there was no need for him to interfere. It was good for Hermione to make friends since even though she was in Ravenclaw she somehow managed to not make any friends besides Matthew and his roommates and Cho Chang who regularly was in their study group. The other Ravenclaw first years kept their distance because of her bossy tone when she was nervous.

His exploration of the fire element progresses really well, besides the original Spells he created over the last few weeks and mastered, he began to recreate many already existing Spells just based on the fire element to deepen his understanding and mastery

For example, he created a lighting charm based on fire, the spell created a harmless sphere of heat and light on the tip of his wand, it wasn't a better replacement for the wand lighting charm it was actually worse, but increased his mastery of the fire element. He created many such alternative charms like for drying of clothes or even food, a fire-based explosion charm which was actually better in a battle since it also caused burns, a replacement for the mist creation charm 'fumos' just with thick dark smoke and any other application he could think of he would be able to replace or copy with fire.

Thanks to his superior magic control and high level of Occlumency, which allowed him to precisely feel the condition of his body, mind, and soul, especially since he was currently training his Soul every day with the meditation and training techniques of his third level Occlumency, he was able to feel the status and condition of his soul better by the day, he felt changes that made him better attuned with the element of fire. He also felt these changes while practicing any other spell with other elements or laws, he wasn't sure how to call it yet because of his lacking understanding, after all, he was sure he was the first wizard who explored this direction of magic deeply. His understanding of the other elements or laws didn't progress as quickly as over the fire element while practicing different spells, why that was he wasn't sure yet but he had many different theories, maybe the spells were a mix of multiple different elements, unlike his pure fire spells which made him progress slower since almost was not able to sense any progress, or they were more complex, maybe it worked like in the many Cultivation Novels he was currently exploring the law of fire while a summoning charm was part of the far more complex law of space, or he just had a natural talent for fire. All of those were possibilities he still had to confirm with further research and exploration.

~ Scene Break ~

On Saturday in the middle of November, it was time for the first visit to Hogsmeade this year for every Student third year and above. This was also the first visit to the Village for Matthew and his friends and the other third-year students. Early in the morning Matthew, Roger, Harold, and Blake headed for the Castle Gate where Professor McGonagall and Filch were waiting. It seems the forms for the Hogsmeade visit were handled by the Vize-Headmistress of Hogwarts instead of the Head of each house.

After giving his signed Hogsmeade Permission Slip to Professor McGonagall he was allowed to leave with his Friends for the Village, but they still got reminded to return before Dinner today. They began the short walk to the Village.

Hogsmeade Village, or simply called Hogsmeade, was the only all-wizarding village in Britain. It was founded by Hengist of Woodcroft. Since before 1714, Hogwarts third years and above had been permitted weekend trips into the village. The Village was built on the ruins of the Villiage that in Ancient Times chased the Dark Wizard Raczidian and his horde of Dementors away and ended with his Death when he wanted to cast the Patronus charm. Matthew was sure that today only very few Wizards could cast the Patronus Charm since it was apparently a difficult charm today.

Hogsmeade was a picturesque little village of cottages and shops, with enchanted candles hanging in the trees during the holidays. The Hogsmeade Train Station was also a bit outside of the Village located, where the Students would arrive and depart every year with the Hogwarts Express.

Another funny fact Matthew found in the Hogwarts Library, At some point in the village's history, it was acknowledged that some of its residents had a tendency to be particularly prone to accidents and injury, to the point where these unlucky locals were being consolation all awarded for their trouble. He found even old news articles of the Daily Prophet about the Most Maimed Award. As of the 1987–1988 school year, one of its inhabitants, a former Care of Magical Creatures Professor at the nearby Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry, Silvanus Kettleburn, had received the Hogsmeade's Most Maimed Award ten years in a row.

"So that's how a purely Wizard Village looks like. It's really a nice Village even if it looks a bit old." Said Blake the other muggle-born Student in the Group of Friends who just entered the Wizard.

"Yes, it's also the only all-Wizard Village in Britain. I visited it a few years ago with my parents." Explained Harold as he began to act as the guide of the Group.

For their first visit they began to explore the Village and their shops systematically, they began at one side of the Village and visited every shop on the way to the other side. There were many different shops inside the Wizard like Cauldron shop, Music instrument Shop, Herbology shop, Clothing Shop, Quill and Paper Shop, a Post station, some cafes and bars, sport needs, a bookstore, a joke shop, an Inn and even a branch from Olivander's Wand store.

The Friends stopped in many Shops, for example, Matthew restocked his Potion Ingredients in Dogweed and Deathcap the local Herbology shop, although its selection wasn't as great as in any store in Diagon Alley, it still sold most of the most needed ones and especially the ones for the Hogwarts Potion Class since students were the main audience.

They also made a short stop at Tomes and Scrolls a Bookstore established in 1768, unfortunately, they didn't have any Books that Matthew didn't read, like in many other stores their goods were far fewer than in Diagon Alley, but for Students, it was a nice store to get replacements for their Hogwarts Books since they were all on stock for every year.

Next, they visited the famous sweet shop Honeydukes where they refilled their stock on magical sweets since this was something Hogwarts students never had enough of. Matthew also bought some for Cho, Hermione, Harry, and Ron since they would still need to wait a few years until they were able to visit the Village.
