Loving The Forbidden

"Would you love him, if he took away all that which reminded you of the living?" "I don't know." "You should because when the devil loves you, he keeps you caged from seeing the possibilities of being without him. Even if it means killing all those that you care about," she murmured into my ear. I was sure that she could hear my heart drumming loudly in my heart and the growing smirk on her face proved me right. Chapter Fifty_Two: Deep end

'Everything is an illusion like an idea until you make it real.'

Aria felt as though she had just come up from swimming too deep in the ocean, she felt as though everything around her had blinded her as she got out of her mind and back to the reality she was trapped in. She didn't know how to feel or why she felt as though a shivering cat finally made its way out the damn water.

She locked eyes with Sal and stepped away from him slowly, feeling scared of him as she had underestimated his teachings and advice. He wasn't wrong about the mind being too busy and letting its guard be vulnerable. She felt as though she had messed up and failed her first lesson.

"When I guide you listen because it won't always be me or Silver or Quin that will be here to guide or help you. So, listen when we speak and have a heart that aches to learn and a mind that is willing to try and understand", he said with a small smile, "Rest, tomorrow we will continue." He said.

She nodded and watched him walk away, leaving her alone with her thoughts. Aria stepped back and walked towards the view, trying to empty out her thoughts and come to terms with what had just happened to her. Gone were the doubts and the questions of possibilities that she was kidnapped and that she was trapped with crazy people.

No, everything was real and she was left to deal with the emotions alone, needing her best friend. A person that she hoped she would be able to lean on and talk to. A person who could make her laugh and take her jabs like a champion. A person that could reassure her that she would be okay…

But now,

She felt alone, she felt as though the world was on her shoulders and no one would listen to her because she was different and she was an outsider. It reminded her of when she had been younger, trying to fit in with the other kids, trying to make friends the best way she knew how but instead they all looked at her like she was crazy and could only be applauded because of her talent.

She remembered how her mother had been there to welcome her home with open arms and let her tears be soaked up by her shirt. Constantly telling her that though the world was big and filled with different people, over-crowding with desires and emotions. That everyone could easily pave their own road and all they had to do was just focus and sooner or later, everything would come into place.

Yet now she couldn't run to her mother or to her grandmother and ask for some sort of guidance, she felt utterly alone. Though the Prince tried to help and guide her the best way he knew how, Aria assumed he didn't know how to love or even know how to spend time with someone out of willingness and not a damn job.

A damn job.

'You know humans are usually seen as weaker because of their emotions and how they always seem to bring themselves down more than others. They always have a tendency of seeing the threat in everyone else and themselves yet they are rarely willing to learn and correct their mistakes.

When I was told that I would be assigned to be your guardian and your helper I will admit, I was not too happy because I thought that all you would do is whine and complain and wish to return back to your world. But then I watch you and yesterday when the King nearly killed you, you still stood tall and you were prepared to have his head.

Despite knowing that you weren't strong enough and that made me wonder, how many more souls are just like yours, and are they all built by past lessons? Do some of you actually wish to learn and be guided or am I just seeing things? Do you all care so much about the other and the people around you that you are all willing to sacrifice yourselves or is that just to correct your wrongs?

Do not be deceived by how we carry ourselves or by how our royal beings seem, they actually do care, they just take time to reveal it and at times, revealing it is an earlier grave. And honestly, I don't think I am ready to lose the man as they have served us well as we do our best to serve them with perfection.

Take time to learn and don't be so quick to fight and chase after the King with your anger, he knows your pain from a different perspective. I know a human saying, don't judge one until you put yourself in their shoes. Come now, we must get you bathed as later I will be teaching you how to dine with the different beings.' Quin said mentally with a small smile on her face.

"Thank you," Aria whispered, thankful to at least have someone on her side.

Not realizing that there was someone watching her with curiosity, trying to figure out what was so special about her compared to the last one they had brought.
