"Would you love him, if he took away all that which reminded you of the living?" "I don't know." Chapter Fifty_Four: Remain Calm

The steam lifted off her skin and she watched it with excitement. When she had been brought into this room instead of being led to a regular shower, she had been curious and skeptical but now she didn't want to leave the damn room. It felt like heaven and she just wanted to float forever.

Yet she couldn't so she had been dragged out by the woman and all she could do was watch the steam lift off her skin and disappear as though it hadn't been there. It made her pout as it had kept her warm and relaxed, her tense muscles had slowly disappeared and her mind had been too calm.

Calm.

That's what she loved more than anything, the calmness and not having to worry about what might or could come her way next. Just quietness and the steam machine or whatever it was, never made a sound, allowing her to close her eyes and just find pleasure in nothing.

'I have a feeling that I will have to constantly drag you from that room from now onwards, is my feeling and assumption correct?' she heard mentally and turned to the woman, giving her a relaxed smile. Too calm to pull herself out of the trance that her body and mind were trapped in.

'I will take that as a yes, now please, try and pay attention as your next lesson begins now' she continued, as she pulled out a body bag from the closet, causing her eyes to snap open wildly and look at the woman tensely.

'There are certain outfits you will be subjected to wearing here in this realm, since you are already in relations with the King, you will not be able to wear dresses or clothing that show off too much skin. It will attract the other male beings and cause issues which you never want to do', she stated.

Aria snorted, "You call that relations? What happened to courting and getting to know each other, getting to know who we are as individuals before a damn arranged couple. In fact, is it still referred to as an arranged marriage as we both accepted to get married for our own selfish reasons. Even though I don't know what he is?" she asked as she watched the bag be opened and an outfit be set for her.

'It may be seen as one. Despite the different values and understandings you both need to figure out and please note milady, every different being, male and woman is out to have that man's affection. He is well-known'

"So, he… is a womanizer basically," she said, deadpanned.

"Let's call it flirtatious as he's still my King and I cannot speak ill or even say something like that to him or about him. Now focus, every woman is given different colors so that they may represent the being that they represent. Since you know what we deal with, where we get our power from, and what we are known as it will be easy to understand our color" she said.

"Oh look, you finally spoke. How does it feel using your mouth and not your mind to communicate?" she teased as she watched the young woman set the outfits for her. She rolled her eyes and tugged her forwards towards the mirror.

"You must be able to suit the part and make sure you are never caught off guard, though I am here to serve, teach and guide you. I will not be the only one helping you at different times. So, learn to know when to adapt and learn how to know who is supposed to be around you at all times.

Your personal guards and maids, never change, unless the King tells you. So, do not assume someone is sick, we are beings we don't get sick unless we've been in a war and we get in an altercation then we are harmed. But even then you will know who your back-ups are.

Understood?"

"Understood but why is it so tight, why must we do certain things with certain guards and servants. Aren't they all afraid of what might happen if they don't do right to him or to anyone royally? Why does it feel like there is more to this than anyone is willing to admit?" she questioned

"Remember as the King's brother has said, you are not the only one to have been chosen and things have not always been like this. Just follow our advice and listen to what we have to say, beings, humans included do whatever they want to gain something. Sometimes forcefully, so when we say protect your mind, guard your heart and have a strong façade we mean it", the woman said.

"Then how about we test something, bring me the dress that only single woman wear, let's see if the King will have a wandering eye. Especially since I won't be leaving the castle and he hasn't courted me. So technically, I am still a single woman, until he does right by me", she said in an evil tone.

She watched the woman look at her surprised but then gave her a knowing smile, rushing back to the closet to bring out a different dress, one that Aria knew would cause way too many problems but it was exactly what she wanted.

"Are you sure you are brave enough to do this? Remember we will still be training and I will be teaching you basic things. So, the possibilities of seeing him might be rare" Quin said.

"Don't worry, I have a feeling he will see me before my eyes even lock with his gold ones." She said with a small chuckle.

Quin smiled as she pulled the black dress from the back, knowing that it had a long slit and revealed cleavage and shoulders with a tease. It was enough to make a male be curious but at the same time have to be close to her to see anything that might make them hard.

She loved the young woman's courage and was looking forward to seeing how the King would move on from the last failed arrangement. Yet at the same time, it worried her as she had seen how hurt the King had been and how he had ruined every good thing that came his way after her death.

So she hoped she was the last one.
