Chapter 31 Snitching!

If it would please him, Emily would gladly spend time with Ronald and didn't have to go get a job. But now that he was getting more and more distant from her, she could only use her time at work to think about how to approach him next.

She took a deep breath and mustered a smile. "You don't have to worry about us, Grandpa Bell. I'll be sure to talk it over with Ronald," she said.

"But you can't hide your marriage from the public forever, you know," he replied anxiously.

Emily felt like she just got stung. She glimpsed in Leah's direction and nodded like a good girl. "Of course, I'll discuss the matter with Ronald later, so no need to dwell on this so much, Grandpa Bell," she answered.

The old man merely nodded. Not long after a few housemaids came and escorted him back into the mansion.

Leah took off her fake smile almost immediately. She glared at Emily coldly and giggled, "Were you scared? Did you think I was snitching on you to Grandpa again?"
