Chapter 32 Bring Your Wife Here to Make Me Dinner!

Grandpa Bell seemed to have absolutely no clue about the scandal. Leah ran her mouth the whole time during dinner, but the topic never came up in the end.

It was still early after they'd all finished their meal, but Ronald had no intention of staying on and also didn't bother to ask her about her plans for the night. He planned to return to their apartment alone.

Emily sensed this and tailed him out of the mansion. "I want to go back with you," she said softly.

Without waiting for him to answer, he yanked the door of the passenger seat open and got into the car.

Ronald glanced at her quizzically then started the engines without saying a word.

In the middle of their journey home, his phone suddenly rang.

Emily watched as he continued driving without flinching. It seemed like he didn't want to pick up the call, and it eventually dropped after a while.

Not even a minute later, the phone rang again.
