Abby glanced at the idle staff on the set and her lips curled into a sly grin. "Chloe didn't show up today, so I recommended you to the director again. You..."

"Ms. Palmer!" Emily interrupted her. She frowned and retorted in disapproval, "Hadn't we gone through enough after what had happened last time? Why do you keep insisting that I replace her?"

A cunning smile emerged on Abby's face. "You and Chloe are enemies now. If you don't act now, who's to say she won't tear you down in the future? Did you think of that?" she defended her idea.

Emily lowered her eyes and said nothing. Her face showed that she was actually thinking about it.

Chloe was well known for her sass, but to an ordinary person, they'd think that she was the way she was because of her job as an actress. With her status in the industry, she could easily annihilate her.

But the incident before had tested her and Ronald's relationship, so Emily just wanted to lie low for the time being.
